  1. As bad as some of the stuff that's happened in Ilum is... With equal numbers on both sides, a back and forth fight in ilum is so enjoyable. Even with slightly imbalanced sides, you'll eventually be pushed back to a particle cannon, at which point you get the mother of all defenders advantages. I finished my weekly in about an hour tonight, and I couldnt tell you exactly when it finished, because i stopped paying attention to my kill counter, for once. It's nice to think that this is going to be how Ilum starts playing from now on, this happened on Bloodworthy EU. Any other servers that have started having this happen regularly? Anybody got any decent big Ilum fight stories?
  2. The spec i currently run is for cheap WZ/ilum grinding. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201ZbsMMdRZcMfRsMkr.1 Lightning storm and lightning spire mean that the walls of AOE being thrown around the republic base can be turned from a mild annoyance to a sharp burst of LS and insta-CL. Fishing for kills on overconfident pubs is very satisfying. Now that I have Battlemaster though, I'll probably switch points out of Lightning storm and electric bindings and into creeping death, as I'll tend to be in a premade for warzones. The points in parasitism could probably be spent somewhere else... but none of the other 2 pointers really impress me. Might go into Corrupted flesh, as some of those damn bleeds can really pack a punch.
  3. I got sick of exp and legacy exp gains taking up my entire chat window after every group of mobs that I defeated, so I turned off "system feedback" in chat settings. To my dismay, I realise that this term means basically everything. Crew skills feedback, the amount of credits gained from lockboxes, a load of extremely useful stuff gets lumped in with hundreds of lines an hour of "You have gained 12 legacy exp!" One of the smaller problems with the game, but quite annoying regardless. Anybody know of a way around this, or experienced similar issues with chat settings?
  4. Ilum commendations for one. I spent a fair amount of time and money hitting 400 artifice when i was about level 40. A further expensive ream of crafting and reverse engineering got me the recipe for advanced force wielder hilt 22, which was the highest version of the one of vendor bought recipes I could make. Then, when I wander along to Ilum, curious about how whether there's anything to do pre-50, I see a vendor selling advanced 23 hilts, enhancements, mods and colour crystals for only a few commendations. I was hoping to be able to craft the best of the best, but unless ops drop the recipes required for this, it doesn't look like this is possible.
  5. /signed My optimistic wait-and-see approach to the issues with the game kind of fall apart when it comes to the GTN. Can't understand how it got released in its current form.
  6. Sorry, but you're definitely wrong. Shock doesn't have a stun attached to it for any sorcerer spec.
  7. Certainly viable at lower levels, and will only become more viable at 50 with the way expertise scales.
  8. Care to explain what you didn't like about the instancing? Usually "I'm quitting" threads will get closed for not being constructive, so if you feel its important enough to make a thread about it, it could probably do with more explanation.
  9. Is there a way to transfer credits to the other faction then?
  10. One thing I cannot believe hasn't come up so far is the expertise stat. At level 50 people will start gathering expertise gear, expertise currently increases damage done and reduces damage taken. So assuming 2 opponents with equal expertise, this will cancel out. However, expertise also increases healing done, which means that as a healer, you'll have a damage reduction and a healing increase to go against your opponents damage increase. Of course, this just assumes that the people posting in this thread aren't all running around at level 50 with full pvp gear. Having not been in the beta (/wrists) I am unable to say what effect this actually has on endgame pvp, however, maybe someone who has some experience, or has reached level 50 and gathered some pvp gear can post regarding the changes this makes? On topic (by which I mean opinion stated as fact) I enjoyed my brief time healing in pvp as an inquisitor, so it is therefore fine.
  11. Our guild got auto-seeded to Bloodworthy, and as I preordered the game pretty much the second it came out I've been playing since Tuesday. Now my guildies are thinking of transfering servers to somewhere without at leats a 2 hour wait, as they dont have any particularly high characters, and I'm not sure whether I should just start again with a new char, or if there will be some sort of transfer function. Given that the game isnt out yet, and that you specifically did stress tests, it seems crazy that we're in this situation, and not telling people how BW is thinking of fixing it makes it worse.
