  1. Thanks, I will look for him later in the game.
  2. I used one of my level boosts to create a level 70 assassin. I then completed Arma Rasa (and Shroud of Memory) but HK-55 is listed as a Contact, not a Follower. I have HK-55 as a follower on 2 other characters. Is it not possible to get him anymore, even if I got him in the past?
  3. My brother and I did Arma Rasa again today. He created the instance and did the quest, including all the stuff for "A Thorough Assessment," and targeted me for "Simulated Meatbag." Neither of us got an achievement. In fact, neither of us have any achievements listed (completed or not) for HK-55.
  4. Not sure whether this is a bug or intended, but the Cyan Sphere is now Bind on Pickup instead of Bind on Equip. I discovered this to my dismay when I was rearranging my legacy bank and pulled some Cyan Spheres out and found I couldn't put them back. So now I have 2 useless Cyan Spheres in my inventory. Is there anything to be done about this?
  5. It also gets annoying when I actually want to use rocket boost. I can't tell you how much I want to smack Tharan after he's mentioned that he's a pacifist for the 5000th time.
  6. ... has anyone tried buying the Legacy unlocks? It appears that the unlocks would cut the cooldown to zero, but I want to know how that works before dropping 600K on them.
  7. Don't they take the forums down during maintenance?
  8. Well, can't argue with that. Unless they add grade 10 exotic crafting mats to the vendor. The Heroic missions really aren't that hard, except for Cha Raaba Assault/Thanium Disruption. There's one very important tip that the game won't tell you: not only can you steer with the mouse, but you can steer with the ASWD keys too. At the same time. Try it. You can fly in circles with the ASWD keys to dodge incoming fire while still tracking your targets with your mouse. I also find that it works better to hold the right mouse button and drag across an area to fire missiles rather than just clicking on a target. Anyway, give it a shot. I guarantee the missions will become easier.
  9. to Youtube with the introduction to Treek and several of her conversations (maybe all of them?) This is the Republic version - the conversations seem to be different for Empire characters, but I've only gotten one of those so far. It appears to be a bug. I apologize for the poor quality subtitles. I didn't realize they were hard to read until after I posted it. I'm working on making some real captions. Anyway, enjoy!
  10. There's a good assortment from the Gree event, tho' you can't earn more tokens until the event is active again. There will also be crossbows in the next patch. So far the only legacy sabers I have seen are from the Gree event, so if you need a saber you may have to wait a while.
  11. Well, at least he didn't start swearing up a storm in an effort to get you banned.
  12. GTN "Usable By" setting. What's it for? It doesn't seem to do anything. Companion gifts need their own category on the GTN, with a subcategory for their types. What's the word on dual-spec? I remember a Dev post stating that there was a plan to let us save templates for quick respec'ing. Not as good as a true dual-spec, but it's still something.
  13. Please, people. We are not talking about arbitrarily revoking names on a whim. There should be plenty of warning given, and a grace period. Something like the player must not have logged in for a long period, say 3 to 6 months. Then, at the request of an active player, Bioware will send out, say 3 emails at 1 week intervals. If there is still no response, then and only then would the name be freed. You may call it entitlement, but I call it fairness, especially given the number of dead accounts and the small amount of severs to choose from.
  14. Whatever. Bioware is who needs to be convinced of the change, not you.
  15. When you've been using a particular name for 10 years or more, you tend to get attached to it.
  16. Bind the Who list and Friend list to different keys. Add the name you want to monitor to your Friends list. Install FRAPS or something that can record your screen in-game. Log out and log back in. Start recording, then quickly open your Who list, then your Friends list. Your Friends list will briefly show all of the locations and levels of everyone on the list. ??? Profit.
  17. I wholeheartedly agree with the OP. I made my own thread on this subject, and there's another one here. Personally I think it should be longer than 60 days however. Maybe 3-6 months? I've been watching 3 names for about a year and they have never logged in, and it's frustrating to know that they will almost certainly never be used again.
  18. I posted this same question a couple weeks ago and basically got shouted down. I planned to transfer about a year ago when my guild all quit due to boring pvp, and I started watching for names that were taken. I've been watching three of them for about a year now and they have never logged in (one of them is level one, and the others are 11 and 12), but with the current policy those names will go unused forever. I feel for ya, OP.
  19. If not for the small deflect chance, there's not much of a reason to draw their sabers in combat at all.
  20. This is just a list of notes I've been collecting, and I finally got around to writing it down. Here goes: Why do I get the message “Not eligible for this conversation” when clicking on some NPCs? They should say something, even if it’s just a canned response. And why do so many have no names or nameplates? It’s like they’re not even there. It makes the world seem less alive. It’s interesting when NPCs have those little conversations when you walk past, but I’m not sure how they’re triggered. It seems manual triggers have been added to a few of them, which is cool. I’d like to see more of those. NPCs shouldn’t turn away at the end of conversations. It breaks the immersion. There should also be a UI option to automatically hide the chat window during a cutscene. Suppress crew mission/crafting results during cutscenes. Like when I’m speaking with some Darth or other and I get this big green text in the middle of the screen saying “KHEM VAL HAS CRAFTED 2X ADVANCED RESOLVE HILT 28 WITH GREAT SUCCESS!” Crafting missions that are learned from items should appear at the top of the list, not the bottom. Level 450 crafting schematics need a unique icon. Operation frames need an “AFK” status. People can mark themselves as being away so everyone knows without having to do repeated ready checks. Standard and operation frames should have a setting to highlight my short-term buffs and debuffs and display the duration. For example, when playing my Operative I need to know how much time is left on my Tactical Advantage and my various HOTs. As it is I have to guess at the durations, if I can even find my HOTs among the two dozen or so other buffs. The same goes for procs from my abilities. Speaking of the Operative, Kolto Infusion’s cast should not be interrupted if Tactical Advantage expires. The Character Selection screen needs a UI Scale setting. Currently there is only a scale setting for characters who are already logged in. The game still does not run properly at 16:9 when using a 16:10 monitor. It works fine on other games including Bioware’s own Neverwinter Nights 2, so why not here? Get rid of the giant chasms in the Republic and Imperial Fleets and command ships. There’s no point to them. All they do is punish people who have high latency. Also get rid of the horrific screaming noises when people fall into them (or fall anywhere really.) It’s really disturbing. It seems strange when I’m in a flashpoint and I see other characters (who look nothing like mine) speaking with the same voice. Add some personalization in the form of voice modulation. Something like a slider for pitch so Type 3 and 4 can have a deeper voice than the Type 1 pipsqueaks. It’d have to be an optional setting and maybe restricted to cutscenes so it won’t slow down combat. Sorcs and Sages shouldn’t draw their weapons when casting their bubble. The saber noise is cool at first but gets old (and annoying) fast. I’d like to see more audio cues added to combat, particularly procs from talented abilities. Currently most of the cues are visual, which is okay, but they’re hard for me to notice when I’m staring at my bars waiting for abilities to come off cooldown or monitoring my group’s HP bars. Tooltips should fade out rather than disappearing immediately. This is especially important when trying to identify a moving target. The Kaas City cantina needs a mailbox. It seems like the only cantina that doesn’t have one. Shipboard mailboxes should be moved to the back near the cargo hold and GTN. The “System Feedback” in the chat window needs to be broken up. I need to see actual system messages, but I usually don’t need to see every XP and Legacy point gained. Credits and loot should be separate too. The “/who” window should show guild names. Characters in stealth look creepy close up. The eyeballs and mouths show thru the back of the head. If possible, the eyes and mouth should not be displayed while in stealth. Crafting schematics should list the materials needed, so we can tell ahead of time what it’s likely to cost to make the item. Otherwise we can get stuck with something completely useless like a Grade 7 ship part schematic. *cough* The Classic/Basic comm should sell droid parts and exotic stuff like techblades. It also wouldn’t hurt to have blaster pistols/rifles with Aim and Cunning on both fleets. The Fleet comm vendors should sell grade 10 Exotic crafting mats. They sell 6-8, so why not 10? It’d give people a reason to do space missions after hitting max rep. Trying to mount a speeder when you’re already on one should dismount you instead of giving an error message. That's all for now. I'm sure I'll think of more later.
  21. The X-80B Phantom is cool, altho' I don't understand why the guns are showing. Shouldn't they be retractable? It's supposed to look like a luxury shuttle, after all. However, the Fury-class Interceptor looks mean and deadly, and definitely more Star Warsy. So it's a toss-up.
  22. I've tried making Watcher Two but not having much luck. The closest I can find is: Gender: Female Body Type: 2 Head: 6 Scars: 1 Complexion: 20 Eye Color: 6 Cosmetics: 13 Hair: 28 Hair Color: 10 Skin Color: 1 However, the nose, chin and eyebrows don't look quite right. I'm not sure the eyeshadow matches either. Is this another model that's not available to players?
