  1. I played the demo. The game is awful. The combat system is Mass Effect: Andromeda with flying. The in town character models are poor. The worst part of the game is the open world. I flew around for 2 hours and the only mission that popped was kill some creature eggs. The rest of the time was spent flying around looking for enemies to fight. The enemies are bullet sponges. There are very few mechanics to them. Overall, terrible game.
  2. Have you heard to YouTube? There are a ton of videos shows the ops and the stories.
  3. Have you ever visited fleet or used Group Finder? They have normal mode runs of ops everyday single day. You have no excuse for not running the content if you wanted to experience the ops stories.
  4. I think it is an overstatement to call 6.0 an expansion. The game has never really had a full expansion. 6.0 will be a minor content bump at most. I am willing to bet 3-4 flashpoints, a pvp map and a 3 boss op over the course an an entire year.
  5. What game company in their right mind would want to set a game during the new Disney era?!
  6. Every xbox game released can be played on your PC now using their live service via windows 10. As long as you have an updated OS, you have access to their game library. I would welcome someone buying EA and firing their management team. You may even see a new wing commander arrive if someone else had the EA rights.
  7. The real test is today. If Musco does nothing to respond to the various threads, then you know that the Kotaku article is the solid truth.
  8. Inquisition was garbage. It had barely a tenth of the story or decision making of Origins. The companions were a joke compared to DA:O or DA2. The VAST majority of the quests were fetch or kill 10 bears. I spent 120 hours playing that game and I had to force myself to finish. This was after I abandoned it for 2 years because the first 6 hours was so boring. ME:A had 10 times the story as DA:I. Inquisition basically killed the DragonAge property for me.
  9. I do not think we got new servers. They mailed the old servers to VA. This is why the same login bug appeared for Harb. They only transferred people to one of the old servers. It accounts for how poor the "new" servers are running.
  10. Sounds like there is no new hardware. They just shipped the old servers to Virginia and merged them.
  11. I have been around since Beta. We will see if I am still subbing after Nov. 9.
  12. I have played ME:A multiple times. I love the Mass Effect universe. ME:A is a terrible game. It has poor acting, bad storyline, and boring gameplay. Almost every fight in the game is the same. The game had no urgency, no heart, and barely any real or meaningful quests. It was full of fetch quests and time wasting quests that wanted you to drive around their "super cool" open world. I was disappointed at no story dlc as well because I wanted to know what happened to the Quarians but at the end of the day, it was a terrible game when compared to the earlier entries.
  13. Truth, but he has used this same story since 5.0 dropped. His guild is awesome and the other guilds are just a collection of button-smashers that cannot handle the real way to play the game.
  14. This. RNG gearing rather than earning tokens for running content. It was complete BS to get garbage RNG for running content. It was a rather naked grind put into play because they knew they had not new content to drop for the foreseeable future.
  15. I actually do not play the game any longer. I closed my guilds on August 11. I maintain my sub mainly because of nostalgia at the moment. I put so much of my time into the game from beta to 5.0 that it is just difficult to say goodbye. I have not done anything in game but login 1-2 times a month in almost a year. GC was the main driver for this followed by how much I detested KOTFE/KOTET and their repeated broken promises.
  16. You always have a "unique" viewpoint, Andryah. GC was the last straw for most of my swtor group. It started with galactic conquest. Our guild spent 6 months farming credits to get the guild ship. The guild ship then required that we spend the next YEAR farming old content repeatedly to max out our pub and imp ships. That was the beginning of my burn out. My pub guild used to be in the top 10 rankings on Shadowlands. KOTFE brought a tiny expansion (6 hours of gameplay) and again forced a grind of old content to max out the alliance reps (which, by the way, had ZERO effect on the story.) The completed my burn out. KOTET brought a smaller expansion than KOTFE and the worst grind ever put into place into SWTOR. The content was not replayable and they killed any desire to runs my extensive number of alts. I loved my alts. GC was a continuation of the old content grind that they have pushed for the last THREE years. It showed me and the rest of my crowd the direction swtor would continue. Grind old content and just put enough new reasons in the game to run content that was available at launch. GC killed swtor.
  17. f2p has always been a problem with swtor. They kill the ability for the f2p players to provide warm bodies for the subs. Tera or ESO have much better models for making people want to sub. I never understood why swtor cannot look at other MMOs and see how to improve their game.
  18. It certainly killed the game for me and my friends and guild members. We saw 90% of the guild quit playing. I can count on one hand the number of players from over 500 accounts that stuck with the game. These are the same folks that stayed loyal from launch. I quit playing after I completed KOTET. GC was yet another forced grind of old content similar to conquest but aimed for solo play. It was quickly clear that most of my tunes were useless and would add to the endless grind. Galactic Command killed SWTOR. Let's discuss.
  19. Agreed. People are so desperate for any positive news that even the announcement of an announcement sounds good. I still maintain my sub but I have not played the game outside of login since I beat KOTET. There is no incentive to play and I cannot imagine them having the resources to fix the game. It is very clear that EA has sucked the profit out of swtor to invest in other games. If swtor had a decent budget, then we'd have a very different game right now.
  20. Guild support is so anemic that sever mergers with loss of guild ships etc will just result in further player loss. The content they offer will not bring players back. I would be on your side if it was not clear that it would be a cluster of name loss, guild loss, and massive bugs that will eat player items etc.
  21. Keith: Unless the roadmap indicates a full, paid expansion with updates to class stories, a new class, new warzones, flashpoints, and operations, then I cannot think of any plan that will "save" swtor.
  22. I think it would be a bad idea; however, look at their behavior for the last few years and then tell me that they care about player retention. It is clear that they do not so I would not be surprised to find they did mergers without informing anyone. I doubt they will merge servers but it would not be out of character for them to make bad decisions that anger the remaining player base.
  23. The game is in maintenance mode. I doubt they care if they upset people at this stage. The large guilds are mostly gone from the EC servers. My own guild has gone from 600+ accounts between rep and imp to 45 accounts since KOTET dropped. Most were hoping it would get better after KOTFE and they just made it 10 times worse.
  24. Prediction: 5.3 will bring tier 5 and another 100 command levels.
  25. What's funny is that I called this weeks ago just based on the 350% boost.
