I've been doing a play through of all the classes again and it struck me that this game really should have had three factions. The Republic with the two Jedi and Trooper. The Empire with the two Sith and the Agent. And then an Independent faction, where Smuggler and Bounty Hunter live. It would have taken a lot of extra programming but the first part of the story they could be independent, taking jobs and missions from both sides, and then maybe they have to commit to a side at the end? I'm playing a very money driven Smuggler who doesn't care about anyone save themselves and wants to become the next Nok Drayen, the ultimate crime lord. They don't care about the Republic. Yet a quarter of the dialog options are about how the Empire must be stopped or the Republic is the best. It really makes the role play hard sometimes to justify it. I'm sure I'm not the first to talk about this but I really wonder how the game would have differed if there had been that sort of flexibility with the so-called independent classes.

Can someone give me some idea on how effective this is? I've heard from some that it's great, you can sneak past most enemies and I've heard from others that even enemies much lower can see through it and attack you. How effective is it really? Would I be able to use it to get past enemies I feel like avoiding rather then fighting, or would it only work like 10% of the time?

I am playing as a DPS Lightning Sorcerer and am enjoying it. I've been using Khem mostly and though he's not the most fun guy to have around, he's quite effective. He keeps aggro and keeps them off me. When I got Andronikos, I noticed the mobs died faster, but I also kept getting aggro when I was using my attacks. Perhaps I got spoiled by Khem also keeping aggro and just need to learn to manage mine better, but I was wondering, what about Ashara? Can she keep the aggro, does she have AOE Taunt abilities to? And if not, what about Xalek when I finally get him? I am planning on romancing Ashara so like to have her around as missions seem best to raise her favour (assuming she likes what I do), but I'm not unwilling to go with bribes if needed and just keep tanking with Khem. Thanks in advance.

So, I am going through as a ranged DPS and trying to decide on long term companion. Wanting a close in melee tank, and figure Khem is my dude, though I personally hate him Is Ashara a viable alternative when I get her? I haven't been able to find any confirmation she has any taunt abilities, can someone confirm?

I have a guild flag on the server select screen, despite not being in any guilds or having signed up for any. Anyone know how to check your account status to see if you are somehow affiliated with one?

Do your companions level as you do, even if they aren't being played? So if I leave one on the ship for 15 levels and never take him hunting, when I do decide to bring him out, is he 15 levels lower then I am or will he be the same level, and just have crappy gear unless I was upgrading that all along?

I resisted re-rolling, I had two chars to 20 and didn't want to restart. But the queue is annoying and it's not that hard to get to 20 again... and I have a better sense of what I want to do with them and how to develop them so it'll work out I suspect And I was able to get the names again so no biggie I guess. Annoying, but whatever. Still love the game regardless

Basically, they do mirror each other. I intend to play both a SI and JC, and want to play both sides, the double bladed stealth demon and the wizard type. But I can't decide which side to do which on. I am leaning towards the Shadow for the JC and Sorcerer for the SI because I really am drawn to lightning Any preferences out there?

I had 7 medkits last night and wanted to give a buddy a few. But I couldn't figure out how to split it. CTRL/ALT/Shift etc and clicking didn't seem to do anything. Do I need to bind a key somewhere that I missed?

Anyone know if they've pegged the idea of improving the market and vendor interface? SO you can select certain stats you want or don't want?

Yeah, that was how I read it to. Though technically, it's not wrong. It does change the colour of your blade and bolts. Just doesn't allow you to change the colour to what you want

My problem is, when I logged in and created my characters, the server was standard... now it's full I can't switch my characters to other servers after creation can I?
