  1. I agree. I hope it costs a million credits.
  2. Yeah, and its a pretty horribly boring and easy raid. The biggest difference which has already been stated is gearing is too easy in TOR. People don't care about content. All they actually care about is gear. Been full clearing dragon soul longer than TOR has been out and still don't have BiS gear. TOR is a different story from what I've seen(I have not personally done all the operations but have seen people in full BiS gear). Fortunately in a gear based progression game that can be fixed with a new tier of operations. And WoW isn't putting anything out for 8-9 months so Bioware has some time to impress.
  3. Maybe get rid of the loading screens and have flight between planets take a minute or two showing us video of flying through space. Other than the loading screens I really like the travel.
  4. There was a thread on this already. Yes I would. But if Bioware wasn't making it AND it wasn't star wars I wouldn't be playing.
  5. Regardless of how fast it is, adding a LFD would make it even faster across many styles of players. There is a reason WoW's subs have stagnated and are now dropping ever since it was introduced there.
  6. I doubt there is an expansion out this year. More likely November-December of 2013.
  7. It makes the journey too quick. When those are introduced anyone will easily be able to queue to max gear in a matter of weeks. As it is now I need to dedicate time so I don't run flashpoints very often. Its probably going to be months to get everything I need. I'd rather be playing this game for months instead of 2 weeks.
  8. I would expect them eventually. I guess it depends on how they handle gear progression and questing in content patches on how imperative they are to the longevity of the game.
  9. Bioware being the developer is a bigger factor than it being star wars. If neither were the case I wouldn't be playing it.
  10. I was planning on playing for about another year. Would be retiring from MMOs completely at this point. But if a flashpoint finder is implemented before then, that is when I'm quitting.
  11. Same here. My 2 accounts will be gone. I left Rift when it was implemented, I'll be out of here too.
  12. A huge gear difference should result in a straight up loss. Skill still trumps gear though if you are anywhere close. Most people in all pvp gear would fair fine. I've downed a lot of battlemasters with half champion and half a mix of centurion and pve gear. The bigger problem with fresh 50s getting steamrolled by battelmasters is centurion gear is such a pain to get. The expertise is the big stat that levels the playing field. If that was easier to obtain newer 50s would be much more competitive with more experienced pvpers.
  13. I really like hutball. A lot of times all I get at night are civil war and voidstar. And I'm imperial.
  14. Well this is good to hear at least. Since hard/nightmare mode is the real progression. Normal mode ops are supposed to be easymode. I still agree with the OP the gear drops should be nerfed substantially, but at least the real raiding isn't so dumbed down.
  15. Because most people need goals to keep going. If those goals are achieved in a matter of weeks that is all many people will stay subscribed for.
  16. It isn't just his personal experience. Gearing is way too fast. There is a TON to do at 50. More than almost all other MMOs available now. But people are bored and erroneously saying there is nothing to do at end game. Thats because people don't need to do all or even most of the content to get top notch gear. And the nightmare mode ops are too easy. It has nothing to do with playing more either. The ratio of time invested per gear acquired still ends up being the same and its too fast. Leveling is that way too. Those are really the only 2 major problems with this game.
  17. It got way better when the 50s bracket was implemented. No longer did it become a matter of who had the most 50s. I like the variety of strategies and it has been a lot more fun every week.
  18. I don't think all the worlds are boring. i really like the variety with each planet being so different. The worlds outside of cities are beautiful. So your title is a little misleading. But your post is really spot on and i agree with most of it. It would definitely make the worlds more interesting and lifelike. The cities are subpar in certain worlds. Neutral factions and organizations would be a lot of fun to do missions for.
  19. No, it solves the problem the OP is asking about. It increases the amount of speed the level 2 and 3 speeder training increases your speed by. The max level speed is fine. It just feels insignificant because players are spoiled by sprint and speeder training 1. Even though the knock off protection is more than worth the cost alone.
  20. I'm actually happy with it the way it is. But if people continue to complain this is what Bioware should give them. It would be a +25% on each training essentially. The worlds aren't designed with having super fast speeders in mind.
  21. This is the entire reason to get training 2 and 3 currently. It substantially increases the damage you take before getting knocked off. At 50 with speeder training 3 I can have 4 or 5 groups of mobs chasing me without knocking me off.
  22. I think they should just lower the speed of the first and 2nd speeder and keep the 3rd at 110% That way you can get a nice 25% speed increase each new speeder training you get.
  23. 1 and 5 are what are going to keep this game growing for much longer than most MMOs.
  24. The real problem is it increases content consumption to an unsustainable level and it encourages players who otherwise wouldn't and probably shouldn't be doing dungeons and flashpoints into doing them.
  25. I mostly disagree with you. I think they took most of the best aspects of past MMOs and left out the game ruining trash features. Their end game is quite competitive with what is available currently in the MMO market. Which is both a good and a bad thing. Its good they have so much available. Most don't have nearly as much at release. But its still a let down because their ccurrent competition(WoW) has been a pile of dog **** lately and I expected much better not just to be equal. The biggest issue is leveling speed. Which is too fast. A lot "lack of endgame" which exists elsewhere as well would be slowed down a lot if the leveling took longer.
