  1. I wasnt afking, i was flying around trying to figure out what it is im supposed to do and where im supposed to go since the game quite literally doesnt tell you anything. I have serious doubts if gsf is worth my time but you all seem genuinely decent unlike a lot of regular pvpers so i can at least give this ingame channel a try. Thanks for all the feedback
  2. Considering people routinely do 30-35 k dps i was concerned this was a requirement which would effectively lock me out. Im glad thats not the case so ill give it a shot, thanls.
  3. This is exactly what ive done a few times, still didnt teach me much sadly. I know from myself i learn better at my own pace, the game has no way to really let me do that. Im also struggling with being kicked by this bot for not contributing, i have no idea what this even means. I do know this further reduces the amount of playtime i can get in, since being removed from the match like this seems to add an increasing lockout timer. It also makes the match not count towards anything and leaves me without any rewards for my efforts. Seems ill just have to avoid gsf, a bit of a shame since i was genuinely interested in it.
  4. Regarding gear im good on my mains.,they have an ir of 340 with a full set of gold augments. What im curious about is if my current damage output with them is enough to contribute to harder raids. For reference my two main classes are madness sorc and hatred sin and with both of them i can reliably put out 25k dps. I know there are people able to do way more but that doesnt seem to be within my capacity, im capped on this level on damage. I just want to know if such a number would be enough to not drag an ops group down since i would still like to try the harder content.
  5. Id like to start taking part in more difficult end game content mostly because I want the achievements. As it is now what would be the minimal dps requirement for vm and mm operations?

    Shae Vizla pvp

Lowbies are nonexistent even on Darth Malgus. Midbies pop only during primetime and its usually just veterans who havent subbed in years and are stuck at a level 70 cap. There is barely a pvp population anywhere, expecting a pop on the new server is a lost cause.
  7. This is a fair point, i agree on this. Still i think to make those changes something has to be done about these lopsided warzones. Perhaps removing the deserter debuff is the only way, even if this means matches being terminated due to players leaving. The only ones who really suffer the consequence of that will be the stacked premades which i consider a good thing.
  8. Be another madness sorc, rage jugg or ap pt. These specs are broken atm, nothing else can defeat tbem 1v1
  9. Cq points are no valid excuse to not do something about the poor state of pvp
  10. Even if thats a risk its still better than how it is now. Win trading has no meaning in a game without a ranked mode.
  11. Its best if the penalties stay because of reasons mentioned already about matches being terminated due to mass quitters. There is however an alternative and its been mentioned a few times already as well, which is the possibility for a team to collectively decide to call it a loss. This is the best answer to premades stomping pugs for the sake of their numbers and sad little egos. Not only would you rob these players of their numbers and kills you also dont have to force the losing side to be farmed over and over. Id say in a match if 5 people in an 8 man team press the give up button the match is ended like normal and the weeklies and dailies progress like any other match. Its still a point for the losers and the premade gets the win they never really cared about. I think warzones desperaly need this option because the only ones who are negatively affected by it are kill farming premades and punishing these players for their griefing ways is what we should all strive for.
  12. Interrupt is still used in plenty of pve raids, the harder content sometimes requires it to be able to beat certain mechanics. I do agree the overall game is a bit too easy, its practically impossible to die anymore as all companions can fill every role at any time and do so with perfect precision. As for the rewards i was thinking something akin to achievements for reaching a certain win rate, a certain k/d ration or even the amount of average objective points. These rewards could be personal grants separate from the season track, possibly through the legacy panel. I do think its an achievement to play well in pvp matches, so why not reward that directly. If its done that way it wont contradict the value of participation as it wont have any affect on your overall progression through the season, its just that little extra you get for playing well.
  13. What i dont understand is why you differentiate so much between the people who play the pve content and those who pvp. Swtor is all pve content, its numerous raids and large story will have players engaged with the ai for most of the time they play this game. Pvp is more like a minigame, its even stated ingame as a 'combat simulation' which tells me the devs see it as a training place to get better at the game in general and not as a focus or something to be treated as endgame content. I do think actually getting better at pvp should be rewarded but not at the cost of participation rewards, especially considering the poor state of the q which leaves the majority of players ineffective during the time they are in matches. What i think is most important for anyone on this forums is the realisation that pve and pvp are not on equal footing, never have been and never will be. The game isnt designed this way and its best to accept that.
  14. I honestly dont even need a pve simulator of the gsf game, i just need something of a bridge between the main game and this pvp minigame. Like i mentioned already, i want to prepare myself and not be thrown to the wolves to suffer. I believe you when you say its not worthwhile for the devs to put out a truly new gamemode, it should be just something more helpful than the pointless tutorial. A repeatable training session with moving targets and the possibility of them firing back, they dont need to act im complex patterns just a way to force me to understand and use the ships available abilities. Like i said in an earlier post, it would be very similar to training on a warzone dummy to prepare for regular pvp matches. Im now repeating myself though, so there is no sense in saying more on it. Im just frustrated the devs wont make any more efforts, i do want to be able to play everything the game has to offer, otherwise whats the point of paying for it?
  15. You missed my point, what i meant is because of the sad state of the pvp q its not rewarding to play for the sake of it. Going in to farm rewards at least gets you something for your time. To get my fun i have duels.
