  1. fwiw, the set bonus is only active the brief time that they're 75. other than that, this is nothing new, imo. even when brackets were only 10 levels, the balance was really wonky (thanks to more frequent ability skills ~every 2-3 levels and gear differential). imo, lows and mids are the last thing devs should waste time on. sorry not sorry. end game requires more work and actually has potential for better balance (the other 2 brackets are far too large). look. you shouldn't be queuing (especially solo) if you are in the lower half of the bracket. I would wait to 70 before entering mids and the last 10 levels of the lows bracket, personally. at the end of the day, it's faster to blast through story and heroics/quests and just do pvp very sparingly (unless you're at the top of the bracket). it's just inefficient to level in pvp and there's no reward for it (don't need/earn WZ comms or anything). tip: you can pass your level 75 tacticals and even 306 gear from your 80s. even w/o the set bonuses, which are only good for 1 level anyway, it's a good help. my /2cents ofc. you're welcome to be understandably unhappy, but pvp below is of such little import that even asking a dev to read about it is wasting the little time they already put into pvp (apparently).
  2. most things ^this person writes are anathema to me but...this sure rings true. the MM couldn't be worse at times if it were completely random (which it might be?).
  3. can only speak for SF, but there are off hours where if you're only in one queue, you will wait awhile. if you're not picky about arena/wz, then it pops 24/7. complaints about 6 HB matches in a row, however, seem to be real. I had 3 b2b (no wait between). and I had 3 more but there was 1 or 2 arenas between. either way, there's a problem with variety of maps that wasn't present (for me) a few months ago. my WZ sample size is kinda small though. i did them all s2, but I only spent about 2 weeks in the recently. it's those two weeks that feels different (in a bad way) regarding map selection. the pops are quick, so i don't think it's a population issue. fwiw, arenas have been regular: 3x of the same map then onto the next. but you don't always get the same map 3x b/c another match might pick up one or so depending on the number of ppl in the queue. /2cents
  4. lol yeah. i literally saw a mando with your name right after i posted. i wouldn't take this queue too seriously. Biosword is fail at anything beyond decos and barbie dolls. great vanilla game though. even with the crap game engine.
  5. gonna be honest, i had this tank with a similar name to your forum name who kept saying focus op. kill op. and then kept moving the target mark. I happily afk'd that match. make of that what you will. but if you're gonna be a jackarse, then you deserve the afk "teammates." edit: not that it was you. can't say names though.
  6. yeah. I was being cranky. NFL sundays! πŸ˜„ sorry.
  7. stop. you may have said this. a couple of other may have said this. the fact of the matter is MOST ppl come on here and rage "PREMADES. ARRRGH. SEPARATE QUEUE! ARRRGH!"
  8. I don't do WZs much, but I've done them enough to complete a few weeklies in the last two weeks, and I must say, the MM is either incredibly incompetent or the premades are actively dodging each other on SF...and I don't think it's the latter. I regularly find myself (e.g.) in a match with the biofail/rid guys, against pugs. and the very next pop (1 or 2 mins later) and I'm in an 8m pugg against toxic flaggers, kyber or irregularity or whoever else. and what's mindblowing about this is that I know there's another grp in the queue. these are not super queues or anything. I mean just 2-4m grps (some larger but you get the idea). the MM is really and truly that bad. this isn't a late night phenomenon either. this was when the q was popping. iunno. i vividly remember being in a vstar and it was an absolute joke farming pugs with one good jugg and a decent sniper. but he kept getting mowed down for the duration of the match. then 30s later, i take a cw pop and 3 of my team are camping our natural node. only the tank on my team is working to take nodes, and every time I drop, there's like 3-4 red plates with no more than 1 teammate even in sight. so it was literally a reverse of the last vstar for me and the jugg. different premade on his side but still. that does seem to be the state of affairs for WZs in particular. on the other hand, this is a reg q. if you genuinely/deeply care about winning, then you need to form a grp. personally, i'd rather just leave if half my team is camping nodes 50s into the match, but then i get hit with the deserter debuff. I'd also leave opg and quesh the second i pop into them. πŸ˜€
  9. PT survivability is fine. it has been fine at least since 7.0. their uptime is what every dps spec should be w/o guard and healer. really. this discussion is nonsense. their poor dcds and poor survivability is a myth/ptsd from prior metas. full stop. acc debuff is stupid but it's not game breaking. real problem is acc meaning anything in pvp at all. edit: all I said was that AP and Deception hit a little too hard. which they do. although deception only has that opener. so they have other problems. AP is just too spiky given the fact that they no longer suffer from premature death syndrome.
  10. in a vertical map, what happens when you look "forward" (up) to move the ball? when it was first released you only had to run the ball to the side of the bottom level and toss it up to the third level, thus literally skipping 90% of the map. it was never a good map design. I'll give them credit for trying something conceptually new. but it was never good. imo, obviously.
  11. when you state something that is so flatly wrong, it merits a flat reply. also, I'm not here to convince you of anything. if you really believe what you posted, it's pointless to bother. really. since 3.0. all this time. no. just...no. good day.
  12. the map is so poorly designed that they apparently have to deny the most core ability of any warrior class in order to make the map "viable" (used loosely as possible). kudos for trying something new, but the map is straight trash. you cannot even get a decent DM match going b/c of the ledges and pipes for snipers and ranged in general to perch on and pew pew pew. just horrible. top down bad design. i play a ranged class, and even I wont sit on the ledge like half the players do all match. what's the point. just go back to your SH and parse the combat dummy.
  13. AP hasn't been a glass cannon for years (7.0?).
  14. they can still pw and rescue too. i mean wth?
  15. i usually turn it on with the intent to edit a vid and then forget it's on until my puter yells at me that there's no more room for the...uh...pretty lady movies I'm downloading. 😎
  16. πŸ˜΅πŸ˜¬πŸ˜• (i'm trying to find an eyes popping out face, but these are the closest I could come up with! πŸ˜„) what's your storage situation. I play at 4k (tbf), but my current comp has a 2tb m2 pcie g4 (iirc) with a 4tb m2 sitting on my desk for the past 2 month waiting for me to install. I hover around 1.2tb out of 1.81tb with all of the recordings currently removed. I mean...I have a 15tb empty enclosure attached to an (as yet) not used Plex box. but man, if I recorded just one week dumps, I think I'd easily be over the 6tb on my main rig.
  17. tbf, there's a difference between giving up on a particular game and AFKing. e.g., in arenas when my pug team gets thrown against a 3m grp with trinity while we don't even have a healer, yeah. imma afk it or stuck it. it has zero potential to be a good game. and it has the added bonus of making nikana upset, which is a nice change of pace. πŸ˜„ there are a lot of players (many are actually kinda crap) who take every pop really seriously. and they seem to think "we could've won if ___ didn't stuck." and I look around. that's true like 1 in 10 times I see it. good luck with that. BW made this game super super casual. now everyone I guess has to deal with it. that means group comps are garbage. you can't even properly enforce role balance, let alone gear or skill (the skill part i admit is difficult to do with or w/o grps in queue). you get all the rewards w/o ever winning a match. honestly, the only shweaty thing BW did was enforce a deserter debuff. which is funny to me, because that just means <reign in darkness> gets a full HB 6m match to pop pugs while passing the ball around at mid. good for them, btw. the game design allows it. it's a well known practice. BW implicitly condones it. it is what it is. welcome to extremely casual, do w/e you want Biosword PvP Seasons.
  18. you know...if half the classes/specs didn't have their hard stuns effectively yoinked, I'd begrudgingly be ok with this. but juggs, sins, and ops are in every. single. arena. so if you're not one of them, it really kinda...sticks out? i wonder if BW thought the way to fix the economy was to remove half the CC from the game and then everyone will buy those really expensive seismic grenades on the GTN! πŸ˜’
  19. they shaved some spike dmg off of arsenal for mobility and survivability by making forced marsh a baseline abil and making stealth scan a DR (although stealth can pretty easily time their burst/stun in the 2s difference between ability and cd). the weakness against dots and being somewhat similar weapon dmg specs made me think about this. it works enough that I'm willing to play the spec again. giving up whatever heal back ability I had to give up for forced march was a non-starter in 7.2.
  20. imo no. they have two competitive (for current queues) specs. they're the highest skill floor, imo. but that's a good thing. I think the better players need a class to do more than parse on...at least solo.
  21. not by much. snipers are relatively rare on SF arenas. they're packed with mercs, stealth, juggs, and sorcs. the number of times they're stacked when solo is just eye roll. it's a low priority if at all. I don't think it should be FIRST. but my gawd. when you have 3 of 1 and 3 of another on opposite sides, swap one off ffs.
  22. if you truly care about your win percentage, you should be rolling in premades regardless of the format. i'm not a big advocate of going premade for winning b/c it's a fairly casual queue and that's like shooting fish in a barrel. but really. if you are focused on your win rate and you queue solo, you're doing it wrong.
  23. i thought I explained the triple madness in the example. but I think maybe I didn't state the underlying issue of class stacking: it's especially dumb because one team has 2-3 "rocks" and the other team has 2-3 "scissors" when each team could have just as easily had a "rock" and a "scissor." is that, at least, clear enough? this is a rock/paper/scissors game.
