  1. I want to love the Copero SH. It's gorgeous, expansive, and full of potential. The interior scale does hurt, though. This was first obvious because of the Copero decos from A Traitor Among The Chiss being far, far too oversized. But the thing that drives the point home for me is lighting. Lights that actually illuminate (there are some that don't, really) come with a radiant sphere which is incredibly bright close to the light itself, and then fades to the distance. In every other stronghold, this fade is appropriate to the light, but in Copero, the lights are blinding because no matter where you put them, you are standing right near to them. Not to mention that most of the hanging lights hang down right through the floor. I don't really know what to suggest as a remedy, unless it would be possible to add a scale slider to most decorations (exceptions would probably be personnel and utilities), so that we can adjust them appropriately.
  2. SS is struggling in a number of respects, and did not get the activity bump that I would have expected from the start of the new Galactic Season. While our guild has lost around 20 characters impside and close to 30 pubside, most likely to transfers, there are a number of people who are usually active for GS and play multiple servers that are not showing up.
  3. Don't think that being able to one-click a daily and get on with the parts of the game we enjoy is a bad thing. Having to waste 20 min. per character on grind and then not having time for the parts we enjoy is game-killing.
  4. What this is, more than anything, is taking a lot of time away from the things we WANT to be doing in game. Period.
  5. 5 heroics at 5000 cq (assuming full bonus) to get the daily 25,000 cq is not going to bring back the people doing multiple servers who have dropped out, or keep those who are considering dropping out. Seriously, Galactic Seasons should have brought a boost in activity, and instead, it has cratered, not just in our guild, but server-wide. Granted, Satele Shan is facing more issues than just this, but it is most certainly not going to help. And honestly, what is wrong with a way to quickly complete a daily target? Some days, you're busy and don't have the time to do, say, 5 heroics. If you can't reverse the rep token nerf, even partially, then lower the daily.
  6. Stopping in to say, it's chilling just how quiet Satele Shan has become. I'm usually an optimist, but instead of getting a bump in activity, it has actually dropped since the start of the Galactic Season. Some of it may be attributable to the server transfers to Shae Vizla, but I think most people who are moving to SV were likely to already be spending more time there before the update. From conversations in my guild, I know that some people are definitely not doing multiple server activity because of the rep token nerf. Right now, I feel like this is the thing that could kill SS. It has certainly hurt my guild, and judging from the lack of usual activity during peak times, we're not the only ones.
  7. It does not drop on Story Mode, it is a rare drop on Hard Mode, which people almost never do anymore. Many groups can't even finish Hive HM since 7.x arrived, though gear ratings should be getting back to where they'd have a better chance with it. I have been trying for this for years.
  8. Speaking as a GM of two middling guilds (not topping the leaderboard, but long-running, max-level, near-member-cap guilds of semi-active but dedicated people), yes, this is definitely not good. When gaming becomes a chore, it's not worth doing. Grind always walks a fine line between incentive and chore. I know there are additional ways to meet the daily target that are not overly difficult, but they are more time consuming. For those of us who use the reward track CCs to finance guild rewards and incentives, it takes more time and energy away from where our attention needs to be focused. But more than that, the more of an ordeal hitting the target becomes, the more people will reconsider doing it at all. I expect this to negatively affect smaller and middling guilds. I'm pretty confident that most guilds have members who do around 25,000 - 48,000 cq a day using rep tokens, and who become more likely to abandon doing conquest at all, or drop from the guild. Certainly, people will be doing conquest on fewer characters. Of those who remain, the conquest points they contribute will likely be greatly reduced. For top guilds that monopolize the leaderboards, this won't be a major hit, because they tend to be high demand with activity targets, to begin with. But for smaller and middling guilds who rely on reliable semi-actives and daily login people, it will. Likewise, people giving up on doing conquest on multiple servers can only have a detrimental effect on the already struggling SS, LV, TH and the new SV. Was anyone even complaining about rep tokens giving too many points? This seems to me to have been unneeded, detrimental, and with little benefit.
  9. Rakata Prime. Legacy of the Rakata is a gorgeous flashpoint. Some of it could be retooled to an awesome explorable area, and Rakata lore is always fascinating.
  10. Move the camera. Something may be in the foreground, even if not visible, blocking the click. If it persists, exit the game and restart.
  11. Let us exceed the 100% cap. Don't raise the 100% cap, just let us go beyond the 100% point if we feel the need to
  12. I do like what was done with the facelifts for Manaan and Ord Mantell (Kessan's), but also wonder if explorable areas could be developed that were development friendly (i.e. not requiring a huge amount of building from scratch) but still be somewhat new for the game. The first option that comes to mind is Darvannis. We have the Scum and Villainy map and areas used in KOTET that could provide assets that could be quickly adaptable to build another part of Oasis City and surrounding area. There's actually quite a lot to work with for Darvannis right now, and it's currently not explorable other than during ops or expansion chapters. Denova, Copero and Asation also have some assets to start with (the latter can also use structures related to the Gree event). But beyond that, I also think something like Ryloth could be fashioned, using some of the exterior of Nathema and / or Ziost, mixed with the caverns from Ossus and other areas, with most of the exploration taking place underground. This would allow for something relatively fresh feeling (we don't yet have a predominantly underground explorable area), but not too gruelling for development. We don't yet know what the Hutta expansion will be like, but with the last 4 being revisited planets, I worry that the player base might tire of them pretty fast.
  13. Honestly, I like having a wide variety of companions to choose from, part of the Space Barbie aspect of the game, being able to use relatively unique sidekicks and have a diverse headcanon. That said, it's not mandatory for GS to include them, but if they don't, I'd hope the season would centre around a much better story than this past one.
  14. Perhaps, but this would be something that is not grey-area, supports the game and would be viewable / participable game-wide.
  15. Understandably, the staffing resources and decade-old game engine have made limitations to adding new playable alien species to the game, but are there some cases in which new species can be replicated via armour pieces and / or armour sets? This could include any distinctive hands and feet as individual pieces. There would obviously be limitations. It would probably require fully hiding the heads, hands and feet of the wearer underneath, for example. It's possible you might not see expressions and facial movement in cutscenes with a species mask (though there may be ways around that, and for some, like a Kaleesh "mask" (head) it could be overlooked). And in the case of actual faces (i.e. Devaronian male), they might either all look the same or have a choice of 2 or 3 purchasable faces. But it would still open up the possibility of playing Wookiees, Devaronians (though per lore, male and female Devaronians would have very different sets), Ongree, Kaleesh, Aqualish, Kel Dor, Quarren, Rodian, Bith and other humanoid races. There may be some mismatch oddities that people come up with, but it could be a small price to pay. And it could be a good revenue generator for the game.
  16. I don't think it's the location that matters, but the primary language.
  17. Are you asking why there wasn't just one server for everyone? I think for legal reasons, there need to be French and German language servers to operate in those countries. And Darth Malgus and Star Forge are pretty large as they are, though the balance is heavier toward the Imperial side of things (my observation is that people just enjoy the stories more). Shae Visla is new (APAC), and hasn't had enough time to see how it will develop. But they do have their busy times and quiet times. Satele Shan is the only server that's really suffering right now, and that's mostly because naysayers are making everyone panic and transfer to Star Forge.
  18. Honestly, I just found the storyline to be silly. I like comps, but don't mind a GS season without one. But... better writing, please
  19. * I understand why new species are unlikely. But what about species masks or partial armour sets (i.e. gloves, boots for different hand / foot types)? Kaleesh, Ongree... some of these could be accomplished that way. People would have to accept some limitations (i.e. you can't have a Kaleesh mask and also wear a cowboy hat), but it's a do-able option. * Make companions sortable (name, level), with a checkbox for ones to prioritize. * Make very rare drops that are now inaccessible (because those missions are almost never done anymore) accessible. For example, the Geonosian companion (Lysslo) is so near impossible to get that once again, someone is listing one on a trading site that I won't name for 400 real-world (Canadian) dollars. This is ridiculous. It's a very rare drop in Hive Hard Mode, which nearly no groups can finish since the difficulty change in 7.0, and no one is otherwise incentivized to do the HM ops. * Related: make some forgotten content worth doing again (i.e. Ancient Threat, Colicoid War Games) or story mode versions.
  20. Agreed with all 4 points, but with this first one, it's even worse when the Quick Travel point and a story mission marker are in the same position, because you cannot toggle a mission marker off like you can with taxi locations etc. All that said, would a mouseover with a pop-up list improve the multiple marker problem, or just make it worse?
  21. Overall, I do tend to like it, but there need to be some bugs worked out, like the need to uncheck markers to be able to see/click. (And in the case of mission markers, they can't even be unchecked at all) Would a mouseover yielding a pop-up menu be a workable alternative?
  22. Awww. You just hate fun. For me, creepy Doc is the least used. And after him, Corso.
  23. Aww... but I was still hoping for an Ongree comp...
  24. The level 100 reward is fine with me, given what the full GS menu has been. What I'd rather see is some better reward for maxing out the reputation track.
