  1. My wife would be the only "friend" I'd want to play swtor with but she's just not into rpg's. She'll go rounds of mortal kombat or tekken but skyrim, star wars etc are just not interesting to her.
  2. I'm all for this idea as long as they leave him as is and don't nerf him down to balance him with other companions.
  3. if you're playing on a regular pc then you should turn your graphics down, but if you have a basic gpu then you might just need to reset phase as previously suggested.
  4. From what I've seen on youtube, the player version of the mask will be slightly different than Arcann's actual mask. The neck part on his is fully black while the one I seen on youtube was white. I hope that won't be how it looks when it's released.
  5. Not sure about server resets but this game's engine is known to be a problem, especially in pvp. People normally turn their graphics down when they do large group content or pvp.
  6. So with SoV and the current mandalorian situation I think it would be a great time to add more Star Fortress-esque Content/Boss Fights. Let Heta Kol and her entourage be fought like the exarch's on their own ships/battlestations. Bring back the alliance buffs too, and equipment caches.
  7. My sentiments as well. At least some customizations if they can't be outfitted normally.
  8. Coming back after a break and I've come to understand that set bonuses and amplifiers won't be a thing anymore. Does this mean old sets lose their bonuses or will the new gear just not have any? Also, what's going to happen to the taskmaster set? Will our companions go back to their regular speed and activation times ? If so, will their damage/healing/tanking abilities be boosted to make up for it?
  9. As a "solo player" the Exarchs were the bosses I would have considered as the hardest I've fought. But ever since I started using alliance buffs and caches they've become pretty easy. I still enjoy fighting them more than other bosses though and will occasionally pit my companions against them while I heal.
  10. I don't mind all the cc's as much, just the knockbacks in MM FPs. Those are actually annoying.
  11. Going to miss the "Play your own way" model. SWTOR was the first (and probably only) MMO/RPG I've been able to max out on item level because of that. Was good while it lasted, I'll still be playing after 7.0.
  12. Alpha Strike increases your damage at the beginning of combat, for the first ten seconds. It's great for trash and if you're quick at dispatching foes, but otherwise it'd be better to go with armor pen, tech wizardry, weapon expertise or force sensitivity.
  13. You're certain this is true? I'd still do heroics if there were a 2k admission fee (given that there's still 16k+ profits to be made from doing them) But if lowbies, newbies and conquesting players are all suffering just to combat the few billionaires (who I don't think are getting the majority of their money from heroics, and more importantly, will probably be unbothered by 2k transport fees) is only going to cause frustration for the aforementioned groups. The target group, which is probably a minority, will still walk away with profits and the other groups, which likely represent a larger percent of the player base, will not be happy. Just my views on the topic.
  14. This looks like it's going to cause frustration for lowbies and newbies who don't make much credits, I think they earn roughly the same amount you're suggesting it should cost to travel (up until level 50?) Everybody's endlessly running these anyway, they're a common procedure for conquest.
  15. They framed their post to look that way but what they're doing is casting their myopic, anecdotal experience over the future state of the game. Essentially what they're communicating is this: "If this is what I will do, what do you think will happen with everyone else." They don't have to directly say this, that is the nature of these type of me me me posts. People rant and make these type of threads because they're seeking agreement, attention and believe that their strong views and opinions are shared. But what often happens in these threads? Almost nobody gives them the understanding they think they are owed. A proper complaint or communication of concern would look like this https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=994748 Or be emailed to BW staff. What's happening here is just entitlement.
  16. You don't have to structure your thread as a direct demand. You making your issue an entire thread makes it clear of your sense of entitlement and self importance. The mental gymnastics don't work on me. I'll say it again, you're in the minority and your issue will most likely be passed over in favor of the larger number of players and their general views. You can dance around that all you like but that won't change.
  17. That's your problem. You think your way of playing is the only way and that you are entitled to demanding things even if the rest of the community has to suffer because of you. Sorry, but no talking point you present will change the fact that you're outnumbered and your opinion is unpopular. BW has to move with the larger consensus and not cater to the outliers like yourself. It's just not in their best interest or the best interest of the larger community of players to do what you're demanding them to.
  18. I haven't kept track of most comments over the last decade, no (good argument, I'll give you that), but just from passively browsing discussions over the years regarding the topic, it's overwhelmingly been in favor of the idea. I get your point, too, but in order for it to work out where people "play less" they have to share your position on the subject first. It doesn't look like that is the case, though. Have you considered TC? People will still have their alts for that even if they only play 4 toons actively. I get that you're only talking about "you" as well, but you're using yourself as a projection of the future state of the game. That's a "feelings" and "me, me, me" based projection that BW will place little credence to.
  19. Because a larger number of people over the years have asked for the ability to equip weapons belonging to a different class. More importantly, more people have responded well to the upcoming changes. More people spend money on subscription bills and CM cosmetics. That isn't going to change because class lines have been blurred. What you're doing is like a reverse psychology trick on BW. You're not really upset that you're going to spend less money (nobody in their right mind would genuinely be upset about saving money, let's be real now). There's something else going on here, not sure what, but money sure isn't the reason.
  20. Realize that you likely represent a small minority of the game's player base (more particularly, you're probably in the very small minority of players whose opinions are against the upcoming changes). It would be a poor business decision for BW to reverse the upcoming changes because of the smaller minority.
  21. I had a bunch saved up from last year so I haven't done any farming this year but what I can remember doing last year was grinding up lower level toons. I was getting them to drop at a much faster rate that way.
  22. I think about heroic moment giving companions unique/temporary abilities instead of players. The same way they do in Echoes of Oblivion.
  23. If my girl decides to start doing geeky things with me, like playing swtor, and I put her under my legacy, then get myself ignored, potentially she will be locked out of content because of me.
  24. He's an interesting character at least. I wouldn't object to him being made a companion later on, even with as little sense as it would make by reasons already pointed out here.
