  1. People are complaining about how the GTN update has ruined the game for them, but for me the lighting changes have ruined the game. Whoever designed them has a greatly inferior sense of aesthetics compared to the people who designed the original. It's like they took the overly harsh, bright white lighting of the Imperial character creation screen and applied it to the entire game. It's actually so bright as to be painful on the eyes. Characters' skin and clothing is weirdly glowy, faces are either flattened and lacking definition or totally washed out. The vibrant colors of the game are also washed out in the bright white. small album of a few obvious examples - https://imgur.com/a/dbXvvL9 Replaying the original class stories is the whole reason I have remained subbed to this game. I hate most of the changes they've made since 7.0, but the horrible UI/class icons/GTN/&c don't affect the core of the game for me, so I can live with them. But changing the cutscenes means the game I want to play isn't there anymore. At this point I can really only hope someone will make a private server someday since, despite making this thread, I don't really think the SWTOR team will care in the slightest that they destroyed the game for me. Anyway, this is the last day of my sub, so I won't be able to reply to the (likely nasty and hostile, judging by my past experience of these forums) comments in the thread.
  2. What's been happening to me recently is that the names of the four sections of the fleet do not appear for several minutes, although the vendors do. This only started a few months ago.
  3. Is there any way to go directly to my account page from the forums? There used to be, but now I can't find any way to view my account without going to the homepage first.
  4. I'm actually very concerned about it. Especially considering how badly the texture upgrades on Voss turned out. There's a much higher chance of ruining it than improving it imo, and even if it somehow looks good I actually just want to play the game the way it originally looked and not the "modernized" version. The old content is already fine the way it is. I wish they would stop trying to fix things that aren't broken and instead start fixing the many actual bugs.
  5. I'm frustrated by a number of things in this game, especially the scuffed Voss textures. But credit where credit is due. I have been wanting to buy the Vindicator's Lightsaber for years, and today it finally returned to the Cartel Market. Thank you, Broadsword, for finally bringing it back. Hopefully the Vindicator's Dualsaber will be returning soon as well.
  6. I strongly support this. Scrolling through the entirety of the galactic command vendor and the adaptive gear vendor is a pain. Actually, I would suggest they add not only a text box but also some sort options, where you can filter by armor slots (head, boots, &c.) and weapon types (lightsabers, blasters, &c). There are just too many items on these vendors to not have any filters at all.
  7. They supposedly added them back to the loot tables with 7.0. I tried running the fps a few times, didn't get any drops, and gave up. So I don't know whether they're bugged or the drop rate is just really low.
  8. I've been having the same problem since the texture "upgrade." It totally ruined Voss. What really worries me is that they're planning to do this to every planet, and that would make the game unplayable for me. Someone earlier in the thread said it might have to do with screen resolution. I'm playing in 1080p. If they really plan on making the game inaccessible to everyone who doesn't play on 4k, that's a really stupid and unrealistic decision for an old/classic game.
  9. I strongly support the OP's suggestion. Every cosmetic item in the game ought to be in Collections.
  10. This is literally the most idiotic suggestion I've ever seen on these forums. Why the heck is this of all threads being resurrected?
  11. It's inexcusable that they still have not added a new system to obtain these currencies after promising to do so.
  12. Strongly support this suggestion. First of all because everything in the game ought to be in Collections, but the Feast stuff is especially frustrating because it's a once a year event, there's a (very low) cap on how much of the currency you can store, and the items are BOP. So it's almost impossible to get the items for new characters that I may create during the 11 months when the event is not running.
  13. This bug is still wreaking havoc. You would think the Feast of Prosperity would be a good time to get Priority Targets done, but of the 9 world bosses I've killed so far this week on various characters and servers, I've only gotten credit for 4 of them. Meanwhile Feast missions and Seasons objectives have no trouble giving me credit.
  14. It's extremely frustrating that this mission is still bugged after all this time. Story mode flashpoints are supposed to give 2 charges, but I did two story mode flashpoints last week, including bonus bosses, and got zero from either of them.
  15. I've seen people say that they hate Hoth, but I've never understood why. And after reading this thread I still don't.
  16. Personally I don't really mind having abilities removed, but having them spread out so much over 80 levels makes the lower levels very painful to play through when you have so few abilities. The worst offender I've encountered so far is the trooper story, where you have to do the whole volcano base section of the story without a companion and only 4 or 5 abilities. I'd much rather they change that to how it was before, where you unlock things much earlier on.
  17. But if it is changed to resemble the WoW transmog system as the OP suggested, I would have to pay to switch between outfits, which is why I'm saying I don't agree with that suggestion. No, I'm saying that currently I can equip a new gear piece, of higher ilevel or whatever, and it won't affect my outfit at all. Whereas if it were changed to a transmog system where you stamp the appearance onto the equipped item rather than onto an outfit, I would have to pay to transmog every new gear piece equipped. Yes. That's why I'm saying that revamping Collections in order to include all armor appearances in game makes more sense than adopting a WoW-style transmog system.
  18. Ever since the texture update on Voss, the ground has looked grainy and pixellated while moving. The only way I can think to describe it is that it looks like I'm playing on an analog TV. I know there are several threads about graphics issues on Voss, but this seems to be a different problem as I am not experiencing either texture flickering or low resolution textures. It's something specifically related to how the assets look in motion. I asked around in game, and a few other people are also having this problem, although others are not. One person said it made their eyes hurt. I really wish there were some way I could share a video of this problem with the devs via email, because it can't be conveyed in a screenshot and there is no way this is how it's supposed to look.
  19. Not sure why you are accusing me of lying. There are plenty of bugs that only affect some people and not others. How on earth can you conclude that "literally every player" has experienced it?
  20. It always worked fine for me in the past. It was only after I left the game for a year and then recently returned that the problem started.
  21. When I try to take screenshots in game using a keybind, it only works half the time. The other half of the time the keybind does nothing, and I have no idea what makes the difference. I have tried changing the keybind to a different one, and even importing all new keybinds, but the problem still persists. Some of my characters seem to have better luck than others, but it is very inconsistent.
  22. That's literally what I said. I would much rather pay only when creating an outfit than have to pay every time I want to switch between outfits, or equip different gear pieces. I'm not even sure why that is being suggested as it doesn't help with the problem of having to keep items in your inventory at all. True, dyed pieces are still a problem. I would be on board with copying ESO's dye system which is definitely much better than the one in this game, but I doubt they would do it since they make money from selling dye modules.
  23. It's definitely not prevalent enough that banning them would destroy the queues. Most people who queue for GSF do in fact play it properly (or get kicked for being inactive). I've only had to report one person since I returned to the game a month or two ago. Which makes it all the more silly to argue that griefing needs to be sanctioned for the sake of the queues, because it's not sanctioned now. It's already a reportable offense.
  24. Since the outfitter revamp, whenever you click on an outfit, it will immediately switch your in-game outfit to the one selected. Before the revamp, you had to press the "activate" button in order to make it your active outfit. I would like to request the return of the activate button. It's pretty silly that I can't simply view my outfits without changing my in-game appearance.
  25. It boggles the mind that some people in this thread are trying to argue that griefers should be allowed to grief because Broadsword is oppressing them by giving more conquest points for GSF than other activities. I originally started playing GSF for the Galactic Seasons objectives, but although I had no clue what I was doing I still tried my best at it. Broadsword isn't forcing anyone to behave badly in GSF matches. That is their own personal choice, and one that is absolutely deserving of a ban.
