  1. I expect the reason they aren't doing anything about inflation is because it's entirely in player to player transactions. Unlocks still cost the same as well as anything you purchase from an NPC vendor with credits. The inflation is caused (ultimately) by player greed as no Cartel Market item is worth more than (or even close to) a billion credits. The "fix" is for players to stop asking for ... and paying ... the prices.
  2. I ended up having to (among other things) reinstall DirectX 9. Once I'd done that, and whatever Micorsoft C+ Redistributes that OpenOffice uses...then it worked. Only took like 6 tries....
  3. They're not reading tickets when they first come in, but rather simply sending out a copy/paste response. I sent an email explaining that I was attempting to install the game on a computer that it hadn't been on before and that the files weren't available because the game won't install. Literally as the first things I said in the email. And I got a clearly copy/paste response requesting said files as well as the basic troubleshooting already outlined earlier.
  4. The core of your complaint boils down to that fact that level sync takes away your "God Mode". What you call being able to One-Shot everything and brush off the damage. This isn't a game that really should have a "God Mode", imo. A couple of observations: Gear matters a great deal when it comes to level sync. Having green gear will indeed make you noticeably weak, as I've discovered by using both green (in this case rating 320) and purple (rating 228). Characters performed much better with purple 228 than with green 320. Companions are also significantly stronger than characters, which is why dismissing companions is one of the things most often recommended for increasing game difficulty. I've noticed that a 50 influence companion has about three times my character's health, and is significantly more capable all around. By doing what I call "leading with your companion" (i.e. starting your combat with Companion Attack) makes doing content much easier.
  5. The launcher DOES NOT WORK. I'm doing a clean install on a computer that the game isn't on before. First I got a ".dll" error, which is a really big red flag. Then after finally fixing that...I got the client to up date. And it just closes without doing anything. It's not saving login information (like username) any longer, and there's no log or setup files BECAUSE THE GAME WON'T INSTALL. I even turned off my anti-virus...with no effect.
  6. What is the least painful way to complete any of the quests that Zeek offers? As a casual/solo player, I'm not really seeing any path to do it.
  7. Funny; you realize that she's older than Kira. Or Mako. Or Vette.
  8. Unless you're actively using OneDrive, you should uninstall it. I'm of the belief that you should uninstall any applications or "feature" that you don't have a personal use for.
  9. Nadia Grell. Seriously. One: That voice...purrr.... Two: Force Bond.
  10. Griefers will always kill off Open World PVP, and having it doesn't make someone else a better PVPer. It simply creates frustration, usually among new players. And as it's been pointed out already: there's still options for it. However, as so few people seem to engage in it; that says volumes about the interest for it.
  11. We've heard you repeatedly insist that you (and other raiders) are the only ones who should get "the best". However, the more you say it, the more you sound like Gollum clutching the One Ring and saying "MINE!".
  12. Forced group content doesn't necessarily produce good group players. It tends to produce players that have to be carried because all they really did was follow along. I think that (story) flashpoints produce better group players, because if you mess up then it's all on you. Dying because you're standing lava (e.g. red circles) teaches, not having someone use Rescue or otherwise pull you out. As far as FF14 goes, I got tired of having to stop every fourth or fifth mission (about 5-8 minutes) in order to sit in queue for an hour has the opposite effect for me. I was spending more time just waiting (as I tend to play during off times) than actually doing anything.
  13. NO ONE needs better gear. The elitists can whine all they want and claim to be better, but they aren't. You have to do certain kinds of content to get certain kinds of gear tokens. You're not "better" because of the content you do.
  14. Yup, it just keeps getting better. I have no idea how many token, golden certs, or anything related to the event. It just doesn't show up in my inventory, on multiple characters.
  15. So I've discovered that there's no color difference between explored and unexplored areas now. And, unsurprisingly, I'm having trouble telling the difference. What, precisely was wrong with how it was before?
