  1. So I just found out last night that one of my nim/mm timer achievements was removed. It goes without saying that I earned this legitimately and have the screenshots and parsley logs to prove it. It's also not an exaggeration on my part to say that many years worth of effort led up to me getting that achievement. So it's a bit of a shock to now see that achievement slot I celebrated now sitting empty and my title gone. Hello Devs, hope you are doing well. I was just wondering what is Broadsword's official response to this as I've (unless I missed it) seen no mention of it yet in either Dev Tracker or the Patch Notes?   2. Yes, I am aware of this post. However, that post seems to suggest that the Dev team was also working on their own fix to the launcher itself. I am wondering if that fix is still a work in progress or if perhaps that's no longer necessary and happening with the recent update from the network provider. The error message may be gone but I am wondering if the bug is indeed 100% fixed, as I don't want to invest too much into playing if for some reason it interferes with the progress I make in game. An update and some clarity on the issue would be much appreciated. Thanks @JackieKo
  3. There was no download or update to the launcher as far as I could tell. However, I was able to login smoothly over the weekend without the error message showing up.
  4. Also just experienced this bug today on the warlords fight in nim. Looks like this may be a warlords or nim warlords specific bug.
  5. I don't think I've experienced not getting conquest credit. That being said, I will say I did not receive credit towards the technological advancements quest after completion of gsf weekly. Funnily enough I don't think GSF is mentioned in the quest as counting towards quest completion even though it should considering how much the current expansion, and even the last expansion to an extent have been steering players to that game mode. I think they may have known about this problem to begin with hence not including it in the quest objectives.
  6. I also encountered this problem the other day for the first time and somehow figured out a workaround. Was playing on sorc, so what I did was click the force storm ability, but not cast it. I used the force storm sort of overlay to make out the outline of the room and objects in it. I would imagine this technique might work with any aoe type ability.
  7. So idk if the gif is accurate or not, but 400k per gold roll seems excessive to me. When amplifiers first dropped I didn't bother with them as it seemed gimmicky to me. I was hoping this update would lessen the grind and credit sink and make this feature more accessible to the average player, but if not I will just continue to ignore it. If the goal in implementing amplifiers was to remove credits from the game, I think it's already been accomplished. The people with that many credits have already rolled to their hearts content and since moved on.
  8. I would like it if something like a sith library or bookshelf or scroll case could be implemented in the game. I would love to have a room in my stronghold serve as a self study area for my sith to do reading and research on sith alchemy and dark side rituals. I believe you see some depictions of what I'm getting at in the Star Wars Legacy comic book Sith vs Sith when Darth Wyyrlok goes to the tomb of Darth Andeddu.
  9. Well if this is happening, I'm sure as hell not gonna be grinding this again, just several months after painstakingly obtaining bis. Nevermind buying stuff off the cm to afford it.
  10. I have a lot to say on this topic, but I'm too lazy to type. But given how both sorc dps specs are so reliant on dots for damage, they need to interfere less with mezzes. It's really hard to get as much value out of mezzes unless you have intimate knowledge of other class dcd's and time them properly, as your dot damage breaks them early. I mean you could just not use dots for say lightning spec, but that's also a major blow to your dps. Really makes it hard to duel certain classes.
  11. Not a guide, but probably the closest thing to one right now for using elemental convection.
  12. So sometimes I get a match where I performed really well in. Maybe I got really high dps, biggest hit, etc. Normally I hover my mouse over the "Damage" number to get the additional stats, and I'm able to take a screenshot of the scoreboard by hitting the "Prnt Scrn" button, after which it will save to the game folder. Except the in-game screenshot function gets bugged sometimes and doesn't work. I could take screenshots alternatively with the Snipping Tool in Windows. However, I can then no longer hover my cursor over my Damage number to get the additional stats like DPS or biggest hit. Hopefully someone here understands what I'm trying to say. I'm just wondering if there's another program out there that doesn't require me clicking my cursor in order to take the screenshot. Thanks.
  13. Is there like a masterlist of useful items each crew skill can craft this expansion? I have a cybertech from a previous expansion, and from the surface it looks like there's nothing new going for it to make it worth pursuing it, aside from the grenades. But that was there from before lol.
  14. I hate facing players with this tactical in duels as a dot spec player. One ED was hard enough to have to play around. Two or more is just ridiculous. Less OP though in actual 4v4 or 8v8 matches if the team focuses the jugg hard enough.

I was just wondering if there exists a masterlist of relevant buffs/debuffs from all classes to keep track of in pvp, that gives a description of what they do and the icon picture to watch out for. As an example, stuff like say a Jugg's ED and reflect, and what that looks like across factions. You have to watch out for when they appear so you don't hit into them. But sometimes you forget what they are or you don't know what the icon looks like across the class mirror. Thanks.
  16. Something definitely needs to be done about vote kicking. Too many people abusing that system to troll,cheat, or grief other players they don't like or approve of. That being said, I don't know if getting rid of it entirely is the answer because it does serve a purpose in removing trolls who are determined to throw. Perhaps like other people said, make it a requirement that all 3 team members, perhaps even a member of the opposing team need to all vote in order for a player to be kicked. Idk if that will solve the problem but it will definitely make it harder for these elite snobs to get their way in ruining other people's fun. Solo ranked isn't their private club. At the end of the day, it's just a game. Get a life if you feel otherwise. That being said it is a bit unfair when you have to play with or against people who haven't invested anything into their class and q ranked as soon as they hit the valor 25 requirement which isn't that much, especially with this double xp event going on. The valor requirement should be raised to say 50. But anything beyond that is too restrictive imo. Especially for skilled players who are creating new toons and don't want to waste too much time grinding valor. 306 gear requirement should also be implemented. Not because I think being 306 rating necessarily makes you a good player. The best players can wreck other people even undergeared. But it would force newer players to play the class more and become more familiar with their abilities, rotations, bonuses, etc. And would be an additional barrier/time sink against cheaters to disincentivise them from simply creating new characters/accounts to troll with. That being said, pvp gearing rewards kinda suck when compared to grinding flashpoints. Pvp gearing needs to get buffed so there's more incentive to do so. And there's only so much you can learn from grinding flashpoints anyways. Also not necessarily about ranked, but 4v4 regs matches need to pop more. Heck even allow players the ability to choose what map they want, like they can with flashpoints/ops. Right now they rarely pop. With 8v8 ranked no longer a thing, people aren't going to be nearly as prepared for ranked after playing 5 huttball matches in a row. 8v8 and 4v4's are two different pvp modes with completely different objectives. The ranked population is also low. I think it needs further incentive to play, like rewarding mats like legendary embers for the weekly, and have wins count more so people feel more inclined to play their best. Hopefully the restrictions above would also make it harder for people who would only want to mat farm.
  17. Dps Sorcs shouldn't be nerfed, at least not so fast. They've been bad for so long now. Years. Give them some time to shine.
  18. It doesn't have to be a passive or active ability for every class, but I would like it if they made a tactical/set bonus for every class that had a trauma mechanic.
  19. Yes thank you for this guide. Really well written and explained. I prefer the Imperium, but that ship only becomes useful once you can afford a lot of the upgrades, until then this is probably the best choice as far as Strike Fighters go for new players.
  20. How do you know they were lightning sorcs and not healers?

I think we should have the option of respeccing in the first minute and a half of the match when your waiting for the game to start and allies to load in and you realize you messed up with utilities. This way you have a chance to fix it before the match actually begins. I think changing it mid match is a bit broken.
  22. Well I just wrote a really long post in reply to this thread, only to lose it when I accidentally clicked a link on the page. Gotta love forums that don't save your posts as drafts. Feelsbadman. Don't feel like retyping it all but I'll summarize my main points. I don't think madness is anymore interruptible than lightning is. If your on the ball, most times depending on the utilities they've chosen, you can interrupt a lightning sorc's thundering blast (their hardest hitting single target ability). If the lightning sorc is going the aoe route, you can interrupt their force storms. You can technically also interrupt their lightning bolt, but is much harder to do, and to less effect. I also think madness needs some kind of a rework. The playstyle doesn't really fit the spec name imo. In the beginning I assumed it was called madness cause there was RNG involved. But that's more up lightning's alley. Along with damage reduction. Madness sorc needs more than just being a dot caster with some cc. The cc no longer matters much with all the cc breakers in the current meta. What it needs is a buff to its self heals. Both from dots and force leech. That really fits my image of a madness sorc being a kind of makeshift force vampire, stealing the life from its enemies to buff and sustain itself.
  23. I admittedly haven't played much pvp in 6.0 as I'm waiting for the dust to settle before I get serious. And the times when I have, it's been mostly on lightning spec. So take what I'm saying with a grain of salt. But I honestly don't see madness's style of play changing much from what it was in 5.0. As madness your pretty much an artillery cannon. You can deal crazy dps if you get ignored by the enemy team, or have great peel, but otherwise if you get focused, you melt like butter. Going solo, having good positioning from the get go is a must to avoid focus fire and get out of sticky situations quickly. Like someone said mobility is somewhat more limited than on lightning. Not that you can't kite on madness, but doing so usually comes at a big cost to your dps since you are unable to use force lightning. Unlike lightning spec where you can usually cast hard hitting abilities like thundering blast and chain lightning on the move with the right utilities. I'd say go madness if your confident your going to get good teammates that will peel for you. Healer and/or a tank guard. You can also play it well if your in the mood to play really safe and cast from a distance. But you will get punished hard on this class if you get up close and personal.
