  1. You don't have the god bot, but when you're running the story you get two companions for a lot of the flashpoints needed to progress, with the exception of Copero and Imperial Meridian Complex. You're not doing most of them with one single companion.
  2. No. It means that one person was able to accomplish it under those conditions. It does not mean anyone attempting the flashpoint can do that. It should not be difficult to understand that game players have many different skill levels. Sometimes even the best efforts will not change that. Just because someone else can do something doesn't mean everyone else can do it too. I could swim for eight hours a day; I guarantee I'm never going to swim like Michael Phelps. If someone has reached Spirit of Vengeance, they've made it through the fight at the end of Echoes of Oblivion and a lot of other content, so they are not a novice player. They clearly know something about how to get through the game. And yet many complain about this flashpoint, more than any other before or after. If it's not an issue for you, great, but you're not everyone, and some clearly find this difficult. The number of complaints over months should say something. Add the god bot. If you don't need it, don't use it. It shouldn't matter to you if someone else uses it in their own game
  3. That level of exaggeration and contempt toward players who are complaining about this flashpoint is exactly what I mean. Many players, including many veterans, have complained about this flashpoint since the PTS, in a way that they have not complained about other flashpoints or content. There's clearly a disconnect in the difficulty/tedium level in Spirit of Vengeance when compared to the flashpoints before and after. Those bosses require the player to be awake and paying attention, but aren't getting the same complaints. if you get a difficulty toggle why would you possibly care if someone enjoyed an easier experience? It's not affecting you. As for Super Mario Bros, I see that and raise you Game Genie and cheat codes, which are supported by Nintendo.
  4. It's not at all unreasonable to want an easy mode in a story-based game, and it's troubling to see elitists insisting that everyone should play to their more difficult standards. Spirit of Vengeance might be easy for some, but it's clearly giving some players trouble progressing through the story. It shouldn't be so hard to understand that what is easy for one isn't necessarily easy for all. I have been through SoV on 7/8 classes. I think I died once or twice in the fire pit by misplacing where I needed to jump on the right. I can get through it without issues but it's nothing more than smashing buttons nonstop for an hour and it isn't fun, it's something to get over with to get to the next stage of the story. They need to add the god bot, let you bring your own leveled up companion, or add a skip. We can skip almost all the other content in the game including the class stories so they can let players skip this. I've never seen this many complaints go on for months about any other flashpoint, or any other content at all outside of the KOTET walkers. And then add a difficulty toggle for all content, so those who think it's a "challenge" to spend 10 minutes mashing buttons to kill one mob with 500,000 HP each and think every play area should be an aggravating mess that you need guides and BiS gear for, can have their fun without inflicting it on all players.
  5. I thought there were some bright spots but overall I did not like it. Yes, the Imperials and Republic slapped each other around a lot like some galactic Punch & Judy show, which is what people seem to have been clamoring for, but I felt that it had very little depth beyond that.
  6. The perpetual respawning of the droids is making this impossible. Before 6.0 I had no issues with this.
  7. I tried again just now and yes, this is a mess. I think I've taken 12 other characters through Iokath without major problems on this part. I was trying my best to do the kill one- die; kill another-die process. I did this with two, but halfway through the fight with the third droid, or while I was waiting for my medical probe to activate, another always respawned. So unfortunately I'm never getting to kill the last droid because there's always another "last" one popping up. I think I had 10+ deaths attempting this. Even the "armor" that was suggested earlier in this thread did nothing to improve HP or the walker's capabilities. I have reported it in the bug thread and put in a bug report in-game about it. Let's hope that they figure out a way to fix it because otherwise this character can't move and none of my others are probably going to be able to get past Iokath either.
  8. This still has not been fixed. I couldn't even beat them down one at a time, because when I was able to finally kill two of the three, one respawned when I used my medical probe, and thus the fight never ended. I don't want to skip my character to Ossus so I guess she'll be stuck where she is indefinitely.
  9. Iokath walker health is still way too low, especially in fight vs. the three sentinel droids. At least one droid has respawned when the walker dies so there's no way to even finish the fight by picking them off one by one.
  10. There was an update from one of the devs on Twitter. They said they know it's a bug and are working on a patch. I also received a response to my customer service ticket saying it was a known bug.
  11. I was going through this flashpoint yesterday, and it appears that some of the graphics have been spruced up. Unfortunately now the bonus boss gives off very bright, quickly repeating flashing lights when he starts shooting. There's no warning for this and this is old content so people might play it and be surprised by these lights the way I was. These sorts of rapidly flashing lights can set off types of epliepsy, other seizure and sensory disorders and migraines. The bonus boss got along just fine for nearly 8 years without those lights. Please consider removing them.
  12. This, right here. When the mobs take longer to kill and the Valkorion fight takes five minutes it's not because they are doing anything creative or because my character needs to run around and do anything. My character just has to stand there hitting them again and again (or in Valkorion's case play 'alignment switch and Force drain' with the pretty buttons). There's nothing interesting if you're standing there doing the same rotation seventeen times. I literally was looking at my phone for the second half of the Valkorion fight because it was so boring and so much of a slog. The same way you might not mind a short line when you're at a theme park, but if you're waiting in line for two hours for a two-minute ride, it ceases to become fun and is no longer worth the time investment.
  13. I agree. I can justify the agent or trooper from a logistical point of view. The agent is skilled at very unorthodox tactics of war and has proven themselves against a variety of formidable enemies. The trooper is the former leader of Havoc Squad, and what a good match to lead a military force. I can also believe that Valkorion would have found them attractive as "hosts" because they'd proven their mettle in battle and he is attracted to strength. All the same, even with Valkorion's power, I can't accept that they would be the only super special ones able to vanquish several very strong Force users.
  14. Hmmm. I missed this too. I did have Koth in Hearts & Minds on both sides doing his "Zakuul needs more!" routine, but nothing in Onslaught. I did give him the help he wanted in H&M because I didn't want another of his tantrums but if it were up to me entirely, I would leave Zakuul to rot. I think the reason Koth is still around on most of my characters is more because I don't like leaving the refugees or bombing the Spire rather than any fondness for Koth himself.
  15. Some of the LS choices are far crueler than the alternative, on both sides. My own view is that neither side is "good," both have truly terrible histories and have committed terrible actions, but that both sides also have good people trying to make things better, if one chooses to play them that way. After all I think all of us probably live in countries where if we dig deep, we would find that our leaders or previous leaders have done horrifying things (and may currently have horrible policies or be engaging in widespread human rights abuses) but we do not consider ourselves evil for being a citizen or trying to make things better in our countries.
  16. She also insults Lana the moment she steps into the room on Iokath, and at that point, the Alliance hasn't even chosen a side yet. I agree with everything you have said about Elara, and she certainly can feel as she does about the Empire, but I think that for one to work effectively as a senator from a planet with a variety of political views, the candidate has to be more objective and open minded. That would include supporting those who don't want to be Republic but want peace, and I don't think Elara could do that. I think that having a very dogmatic and overly patriotic viewpoint about one's own side does not lend itself well to diplomacy. We do have very divergent views on this, and it's interesting to see. I think the Republic is despicable. My Imperial characters have a variety of alignments, including one that is Light V, and it's been fun for me to explore that instead.
  17. One more credit sink seems to be repairs. I sent a level 70 through two heroics earlier today. She took a lot of damage but didn't die, and the repair bill from that was 4000. The same toon tried a H4 and died and the repairs cost 12,000. That seems much more than they were before for basic content.
  18. My characters will never be joining or supporting the Republic but Nadia would be my top choice too. IIRC she actually has served in the Senate already as the senator from Sarkhai so she has direct experience. I was also impressed with Nadia's comments after Ossus, where she mentioned that even if the Republic won, they'd need to find a way to co-exist peacefully with the Sith. To me, that would be the best representative Odessen could send forward, one that would actively support that spirit of cooperation and tolerance that existed in the Alliance. Technically Nadia did not join the Alliance with anyone other than the JC but she was in every Republic player's Ossus story, and she was supposed to escape on one of the shuttles, wasn't she? They could always bring her back in. Elara's capable but she has such a deep hatred of the Empire that I don't think she'd have that spirit of peaceful co-existence that the Alliance has embodied. She tells a trooper who sides with the Empire that she wishes they were dead. After Nadia my choice would be Beywan Aygo because he seems very well respected, smart and reasonable.
  19. TBH after going through Onslaught with a few characters my opinion has not changed much. They'll keep whatever they got from Onslaught, including the tactical, but the gearing is so confusing and complex that I can't be bothered to get them more than the 272 or whatever they ended up with. It's not like they're doing any more content and need it at this point.
  20. The romance content with Lana and Theron was minimal but as pointed out, lightyears ahead of what other LIs got. I really feel for those who have other LIs they wanted to see in this story, and did not have a peep from them. What's the point of even having the romances renewed or started in those Alliance Alerts if you are never going to hear from that LI again? Given all the letters they sent after Ossus, Hearts & Minds and Onslaught, it's disappointing that they didn't take the time to have LIs send a letter to PCs who romanced them. I can't understand why they don't do that. It's not as though they need to pay for voiceover artists for those, just to translate them into the other two game languages and send them out to anyone who has a romance flag.
  21. Level 75s aren't the only players in the game. Are you truly suggesting that things like heroics and flashpoints should only be able to be accessed by people who have the best gear? Those things are not meant to be endgame content. You are not supposed to need to grind to 306 to do basic flashpoints and heroics. As to "getting good," if by getting good you mean having the ability to mash a button ten times instead of five, I guess we can call it "getting good" but there's no challenge there other than manual dexterity. Black Talon for instance is meant to be done by your character when they are leaving the Fleet and going to the first planet off the starter world. It is meant to be done by level 10s. If a level 20 in class-appropriate gear and a modded lightsaber is having issues with it because the bosses are hitting twice as hard as they did before, there's a problem. Heroics are also meant to be picked up on the worlds as they are done. If a level 50 in class-appropriate gear can't do the Belsavis heroics, there's a problem. You shouldn't need to be level 75 before you attempt those. I have no sympathy for those like you whining that the basic content is "easy." You want a challenge? Go where it is. Ranked PvPs, Ops, NiM flashpoints, oh, or games like Fortnite where you have to play against others and show real skill. Go find the challenge that already exists in the game instead of trying to insist that the only easy things in the game should be made more tedious just to suit you or that every player needs to "get good" if they don't enjoy spending ten minutes mashing buttons.
  22. In the interest of trying to contribute to the reports in this thread I've run various activities on some of my toons to compare and contrast. The overall impression: 1. As has been already mentioned in the thread, it's overall not "harder" as much as it's more tedious and longer. One fight in KOTET took a full five minutes for a character who was not struggling. 2. However there are some areas which have been tuned to higher difficulty and are no longer doable. 3. Characters are taking more damage and repair bills for it are up. 4. This isn't about "mechanics" and "rotations" (sometimes we're literally getting smacked around by a Gand with a stick). The only challenge I see for those who have better gear overall is not falling asleep from boredom during these long fights. Or possibly there might be a challenge in avoiding carpal tunnel syndrome or wearing out your keyboard from key usage. 5. I can't see how someone at the actual level or slightly above it can so some of this content. The heroics on Belsavis and Voss seem as though they would make mincemeat out of players at the class story levels. 6. Overall these seem too tedious to bother with even if my characters can technically get through them, and they can't get through all of them. KOTET chapters 8 and 9, sniper, level 70, level 50 companion I was already almost through chapter 8 when 6.0 dropped so fortunately avoided most of the dreaded walker issues. The Vaylin fight was no harder than before, except that my companions did not respond as well to micromanagement and sometimes did not pull back when they were put on passive. Long, boring fight. Chapter 9: The walker and some of the Knights hit hard enough that my character and her level 50 companion lost a lot of HP. The first fight (Dramath and PC vs. Vaylin and Arcann) was fine, but again, very long. I timed the second fight against Valkorion. It took five minutes, and that was with my character having no issues whatsoever and hitting Force Drain every time she could. It wasn't hard, it was boring because you just kept having to hit them again and again. Section X, Vengeance Juggernaut, level 71, level 50 companion The dailies themselves were fine. The Rakata War Droid had more of a pushback and the Hyperbeast hit slightly harder but I didn't notice much of a difference in either fight. The H4 was impassable. This is a character who has been able to do the H4 for years. She needed to pay attention, kill the healers first and not pull too many mobs, but she could do it. This time, she was overwhelmed and died on the first mob, even with Heroic Moment. Voss Heroics, Vengeance Juggernaut, level 71, level 50 companion. Again, not difficult, just long and tedious. Looking at the clock these heroics took twice as long as before to complete. I could see a weaker character being overwhelmed in Cleansing the Corrupted by the NPC who summons the beast. Black Hole, Vengeance Juggernaut, level 71, level 50 companion. The daily quests seem fine. The H4 hits much, much harder. The droids have more of a grapple. There were several instances where my character's health dipped to the 20s. Oricon, Vengeance Juggernaut, level 71, item rating 251, level 50 companion. The gold Commanders take forever. The mobs in the heroic area were able to be handled by my character but I can see how someone could be easily overwhelmed here. Black Talon, Marauder, level 22-23, level 20 companion. She is on the Dromund Kaas part of her class story, is picking up every side quest and using the gear she gets, along with modded lightsabers with +41 crystals. The mobs took longer but did not seem overly difficult. However, the Mon Calimari commander almost killed her. Ydira Ban and the bonus boss took a very long time. No matter which abilities one used, it seemed as though they needed to be hit two or three times to get the HP to move even one point. Ydira Ban's knockback ate about 35% of my toon's HP in one blow. Korriban Heroics, Marauder, level 21, level 20 companion. They took longer, particularly Armed & Dangerous, but were doable. Belsavis Heroics, Powertech, level 70, item rating 232, level 50 companion. Oh, sweet baby Jesus what is this. She was down to 16% HP just on the mobs near the entrance of the Old Enemies flashpoint. We're not even talking the boss, we're talking a Gand with a stick. Raxxus needed to be hit several times for his HP to inch down even a little. Rock and a Hard Place was not much better, the first mob of three (THREE!!) Anomids blasted her. Repair bill for two heroics with no deaths (close but): 4000 credits. Black Hole H4, Powertech, level 70, item rating 232, level 50 companion. She struggled on the first and second mobs, and the third killed her. Repair bill from failed H4 attempt: about 12,000 credits.
  23. Satchel of crafting materials (Grade 11) cannot be opened on my characters either.
