  1. I rolled a Carnage Mar to 50... It was a blast. If you want to jump into a fight and FSU, you can. Now I hear the DPS output in 1.2 is much better, and in line with other DPS classes. My issue with it was, for me, it felt a little to much of a "solo" class. Fury buffs are nice and all, but I felt like my biggest contribution to fights were interrupts. And then I rerolled as a jugg. To me, if you ever wanted too play a bad *** dude with a lightsaber, then Jugg is for you. It has the basics, Choke, Push, saber throw, and backhand, which is force ***** slap. Fun fun fun. I'm in the immortal tree, btw. I just dig support roles more, and I didn't feel as a DPS that I was contributing as much to groups. Now if your main is DPS, might be better off with Jugg for gameplay mix. If your main is a support role, then a Mar would probably be a better change of pace. And the number one reason you can't lose is.... they both have force charge.
  2. I have a 50 Carnage warrior and a 34 Juggernaut... On the marauder, 1 on 1 you SHOULD win almost any fight. But when you pop cooldowns, it gets tougher. In warzones I felt largely useless, as when you are melee you attract alot of attention, as opposed to a sniper hiding in the back. You can get destroyed pretty quick, and though you do have undying rage, when thats on cooldown, get ready to die fast. That said, when I hit 50, I realized that DPS in group combat wasn't my bag. So after a couple flashpoints, I immediately re-rolled as a juggernaut. Best. Decision. Ever. Marauder, totally bad ***. So much fun solo in PVE. Juggernaut, as an immortal spec, Throwing guard, force pushing, throw in a couple stuns, much more my style. Taunts all around. Though I've never played a tank spec before, I feel unbelievably more useful in warzones and group situations. I went from 4-5 medals to 6-7 consistently (if thats something you care about). Of course, this is going from a DPS spec to a tank build. But the tanking in PVP is alot of fun, useful, and even rewarding.
  3. Act one and act three warrior are very good, act two is meh. I rolled a Ls mar, and am doing a DS jugg right now. It's more to have more utility on my main, and since I did the warrior story already, I can spam the space bar for maximum grind speed.
  4. Wrote this a while ago. Thought people would like to know that I got to 50... And immediately started to powergrinding a juggernaut. In the end, I think I prefer support roles to DPS. When I get to 50 in Juggernaut, I'm going to make a comparison post based on my experiences.
  5. I used Vette on my mar for fun, around 40 I got sick of channeling after each fight so I used Quinn. Though you may not kil as fast, it feels faster because you can jump right into the next fight. And I always always always switched to Quinn when taking on a gold. But I really hate Quinn. On my jugg that I'm leveling now (lvl20 something immortal) I'll go DPs and will probably use jaesa, since I didn't use her at all with marauder.
  6. I notice I lose my first 50% pretty fast, and then I pop defensive moves and debuffs. I try not to use stuff right away in case something goes horribly wrong.
  7. I went up as carnage and at 40 it's fantastic. Once you get massacre it will change how you play. My general multi-mob rotations is (thinking level 30ish skills) Charge - savage kick - smash - pommel - BA - gore - ravage - scream Is it the best? I don't know. But it's fun. Throwing your saber for the final kill is always a good time. I used vette primarily just because people said I HAD to use quinn. Well. At 45 I started using Quinn (because I needed vette to farm treasure hunting) and a geared out Quinn = easy win. I will say, it wasn't until 40 that I started out damaging my BH friends.
  8. I thought about rerolling to a juggernaut, for different reasons. My guild has NO tanks, and since I'm one of the leaders, I felt I should do whats best for them... In fact I took one up a few levels... But in the end, the marauder playstyle, though squishy, its too much fun. Honestly, if I didn't have my Naga and Anasi keyboard, I don't know how I would manage to use half the skills. And I'm only 35. It's not easy. It's not OP, but it sure can be a blast.
  9. If you want to be OP go sorcerer. If you want to have to work for what you get, try marauder. At level 30 I usually run with a sniper and a BH merc. I get out damaged by both, and vette as well. But, in groups, I am usually the last man standing. It's all about know how to use your skills. And marauders have A LOT of them. Learn them and you'll be fine. If you want be the DPs master, I can't speak about 50, but maybe not marauder. But damn we look cool and it's a fun and gratifying class to play.
  10. What level are you? I may not be the most powerful but I have a blast playing the class. I hear after 40 or so the class really takes off.
  11. From someone who felt like the OP, loved the class but felt like a sidekick in groups, wait until you get force choke. It's a game changer. Especially in PvP.
  12. I know we are not a tank class. Don't flame. So far, I have not been in a group with a tank. (level25). I took marauder thinking juggernauts would be everywhere, (and who doesn't want 2 sabers) which at least in my server isn't the case. So being a melee dude with a few damage mitigation skills, I do the best I can to keep mobs off my healers. Question is, does anyone have any advice to try and hold aggro? Or is it as simple as hit them first, hit them hardest? I've never played a tank before, so I have nothing to base from. I assume that mars get no threat skills later on as we are pure dps, right?
  13. Concur. Moreso to me than the range, throw should be our snare skill. H
