  1. There are pilots out there who are good enough to steam-roll most players even if they solo queue. What will you do then?
  2. Same here. According to Twitter (aka X) they are looking into it, so do something else for now and hope it gets fixed soon. https://twitter.com/SWTOR/status/1728865273024016466?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^tweet
  3. Post cloud move, I've noticed my ping range has gotten wider to 274-597. Pre cloud it was between 305-484 While its great the ping can now drop under 300 (I'm from the APAC region so I'll take whatever 'wins' I can get 🙃), the wider fluctuations sometimes led to unexpected freezes in GSF & general gaming on the server. Before it was just slow but you could slowly adapt. Also noticed I'm getting game freezes in SF too (first time in like 2 years), but unsure if its linked to the DM cloud move or unrelated.
  4. Hi @JoeStramaglia Thanks for sharing these upcoming changes. Below are some questions & feedback. When we open up 7.3 content on the PTS, players will be able to see the following adjustments: Secure Trade, Mail, and Collect on Deposit will now have an associated transaction fee based on the value of the transaction. The fee is aligned to the Galactic Trade Network Commission Fee at 8%. Some items will adjust the value of a transaction when transferred via Trade, Mail, and COD and will be subject to the same fee. Does this mean we can expect to be be double taxed? i.e. Fee for purchasing item in GTN + Delivery fee to mail Or am I reading this wrong and its a one off all inclusive fee calculated based on the value of item brought? We want the Galactic Trade Network to be the premier place for trade. Given we’re exploring the GTN as a place to improve the experience and make participating in our player market more enjoyable for everyone, we'd like to get your feedback on the current state of the GTN in terms of usability. What do you like about how the GTN currently functions? Access to old items and decorations that I can no longer obtain in-game as I only started playing 3 years ago What do you dislike about how the GTN currently functions? Rarity column doesn't sort high-low, or low-high I can only list for a maximum of 3 days Is there anything you wish you could do on the GTN that you cannot do currently? Create bookmarks for items that I want to buy, but can't afford or out of stock Post an ad for items I'm interested in buying or get crafted + what I'm prepared to pay, supply materials etc. Mini stats like line graph tracking prices over time (high, low, average price) Number of items listed or sold Top selling items Any bargain items? These can be filtered by day\week\month\year etc Are there any specific filters, searches, or ways of finding items you particularly like or that you wish existed? Something that lets me filter out what I've already got in unlocked in Collections would be great! What kinds of information do you use to decide when to make a purchase? If you could have more information what would you want? I keep a spreadsheet of what I want to buy Available in GTN or Cartel Market If GTN, which server? best price at the time I review my sheet It'd be great if this data didn't have to be manually updated
  5. Thanks @JackieKo & Bioware Devs for attempting to tackle the credit economy inflation. Please see comments below to the feedback questions: Adjustments to repairing: Do you find yourself having to repair more or less often? I find myself repairing more often, especially with higher level toons eligible for endgame content When you repair, does the cost increase seem significant or fair? I find the cost increase significant and unbalanced. For example I sometimes pay more for repairs doing heroics then I do fighting a boss in a Flashpoint. Shouldn't the 'harder' content do more damage to your gear and cost more to fix? Adjustments to travel: Do the Quick Travel costs seem fair? Do you think this will affect your usage of Quick Travel? They are unfair. No it won't change my usage of Quick Travel. Are there travel costs that you currently find to be too little or too much? No. I'm happy with the current setup Are there methods of travel that have no cost that you would expect to have a cost? No Overall, the adjustments to travel are a bad idea. It's going to make it harder and frustrating for newer and first time players to progress in the game if they don't have the credits (or earn enough via normal gameplay) to cover the costs. I'd suggest abandoning the travel costs idea altogether and work on credit sinks that will give wealthy player something to spend it on. Other Feedback: Off the top of my head, below are some credit sink ideas Bioware could implement Using credits on currently Cartel Coin only purchases \ unlocks This can be done in the form of time limited events (e.g. weekly \ monthly sale specials) to minimize the impact on Bioware's revenue (assuming Cartel Coins contribute anything to your bottom line) You can adapt the coding used in Galactic Seasons where you can unlock levels with CCs and credits Some examples of where this can be used: Appearance Designer Collection Unlocks Character Renames Server Transfers A Cartel Market that competes with the GTN Re-releasing vintage gear, decorations etc that players can't get anymore will reduce demand other players holding a near monopoly on said items in the gtn Adapting the guild decoration donation system to players Currently if I want multiple copies of a decoration, I have to grind content (& hope I get it in a reasonable timeframe) or buy it from the gtn If players can purchase additional copies of decorations for themselves using the same system where we pay ~50k credits to donate x deco to a guild, that will also reduce demand on the gtn Hard coding a maximum amount any item in game can be sold for (e.g. 1 billion credits) This will likely be unpopular with some of the player base, but it may stop some of the crazy prices players sell items for Updating the algorithm on Cartel Packs to not give players items they already have These extra items, if they can't be donated or traded will end up being sold on the gtn A check on account wide collections should help tackle this
  6. Hi all, Around 20 minutes before the server shutdown to fix the PVP seasons earlier, I opened on my jedi a classic cartel weapon pack. It gave me a blaster rifle which I obviously can't use on this class. At the time it had the standard 24 hour cooldown message which meant I could give it to a toon that could use it \ add to my collections in a day's time. Logging in after the PVP fix today, I find that the item is now bound to my jedi toon?! I tried opening another pack on a different toon and have the same problem which suggests the PVP seasons fix has created a bug elsewhere. Can Bioware please investigate and restore the 24hr cooldown for these items? Since its all random drops, there's no way for me to know which toon I should be opening the packs on. Thanks for you help.
  7. If you are referring to the Darth Malgus server, I can normally get a match from about 11:30am CET most days of the week. Not sure what that is in American time since I'm in the Asia Pacific.
  8. As a (former) daily GSF player for the last few years, I'm more disgusted with the AFK leeching behavior that has emerged this year than I am about premades. Yes, premades can give an unfair advantage (I lost 50-0 in a match earlier today because of one), but some of the suggestions you made would go a long way in better balancing the teams. However player attitudes isn't something I believe developers can address. So as the 'something that should be done', I encourage players to press M the next time you are in a match and click on the non-contributing players name to kick them. By doing this, we can both encourage more participation in matches and weed out the leeches.
  9. Hi all, Can someone please remind me when a toon can start earning tech frags? - after a certain level? - after a certain point in the story? - something else? - have I discovered a new bug? I've recently hit level 70 on a new toon after grinding content for a week or two and noticed I'm still not eligible to earn any tech frags in my PVE or PVP dailies\weeklies etc. I'm hoping its from level 71 onwards but since I couldn't find the answer online, I thought its worth asking in the forums. Thanks in advance
  10. I have a theory that whatever multiplier rested xp uses is the culprit. Left a few toons in a cantina for a week and they managed to accumulate a couple hundred rested xp points (opposed to the 4 or 5 points I got on my active toon I logged into daily) So devs, please have a look at the factor \ multiplier in your code. As for workarounds, the closest I've found is guild xp boosts
  11. For me it seems to affect new toons I created from 7.0 onwards. Toons pre 7.0 level fine. Either way I hope it gets fixed in the patch that's meant to drop a couple of days.
  12. That explains why every toon I've made since 7.0 has been slow at levelling. Does anyone know if this is the same reason rested xp barely works anymore? Or is that a different bug?
  13. I'd like to see some sort of underworld faction like Hutt Cartel or Black Sun as the way Bounty Hunters and Smugglers were forced to work exclusively for Imp/Pub is stupid - they are freelancers who work for the highest bidder.
