Considering the number of dailies/weeklies we have to do, the 25 mission log limit makes things extremely tedious when I have to abandon missions or double-back to make sure I got everything relevant for the area I'm in. Could we get this increased? Or a better QOL update might be to make dailies/weeklies a separate kind of mission like Conquest, not to be counted against regular/story missions.

  3. I converted my old gear, in which only the chest piece was dyed, to outfit gear post-expansion. I have the outfit applied, and all colors unified. The outfit LOOKS correctly colored when I view it in the character equipment screen, but every time I load a new planet, the coloring (including the chest piece) gets reverted to default coloring. I have to "Apply" the active gear and then reapply my outfit in order to get the dyed color to appear again. In case this is an issue regarding this specific chest piece/dye, I am wearing: Mantellian Privateer Jacket, dyed Black Primary/Pink Secondary Clicking Unify Colors does not solve the issue, as the colors are already unified. The ONLY solution is to Apply my stat gear as my outfit, and then reactivate my cosmetic outfit. Here are screenshots of the difference, showing that while the chest piece is reverting to its default coloration, all the outfit pieces are still unified. This happens EVERY time I load into a new planet. Loading between zones on the same planet for the most part has not reset it (although to be honest I haven't been tracking it 100%).

  5. I really do not like the new packs. I liked the old way packs worked with multiple items within. I feel ripped off after opening these and won't be buying any new ones. I understand removing the boost (these were mostly worthless, though I might change my tune if I ever run out), and if there's no reputation to gain, then I understand not having an item there. But why remove the scrap metal and extra item? Basically, we went from 1 boost, 1 companion gift, 1 scrap metal, 1 rep item and 2 bonus items. Now we have 1 bonus item and 1 companion gift. The old packs were 300cc and held all that. If you consider the boost and rep items as extra goodies, we still had 4 chances to get some really great items, so 75cc per item. If you consider those other items worth something, then we were paying 50cc per item. Now we're paying 100 cc per item as the packs cost 200cc. Why wouldn't we feel ripped off? My suggestion is go back to the old way. The only suggestion I would make there is to change it so that the rep items can be traded in for each other. For example, if you max ICE rep, but still want to open packs and get thus lots of extra rep items, then you can turn them in for Bounty Supply rep items at a 10% penalty, or whatever.
  6. What am I supposed to do with all of these bound shields, generators and implants? Is there any way for me to unbind them, as they were on my old companions and can't be used anymore?

  8. You know, I really don't care about the nerf to the Jawa Junk that much. It was a fair nerf. But why nerf the Cartel Certs, which aren't tradeable and which was NOT in the patch notes? That is very underhanded to me, honestly. I would like to see it and the Walker rates addressed by the Devs. I would also like to see future slots released for ICE, Bounty Supply, etc.
  9. I understand the reasoning for not making these items tradeable, but perhaps we could swap trophies from one reputation for another (at a cost)? For example, if I have a bunch of Binary Star trophies, I could swap those for Bounty Supply trophies (which are essentially retired), but at maybe a 15% cost to the reputation value? I'm not sure how this could work - perhaps they could be literally vendored for reputation. I understand you would not want to allow people to turn in old trophies for rep trophies which are currently in the Cartel Market, but if you're not gonna sell Bounty Supply or ICE or etc packs anymore, why not allow us to get the reputation with our extra trophies from a more recent pack?

When I list out gameplay issues/wants, I am going by what has generated a lot of discussion/consensus in the community, not just individual pet wants.

  12. WoW didn't have that when they launched, bro. NO MMO has EVER had free trials at launch...except free-to-play games, of course. I'm sure when Bioware is in the black, they will offer a 14 free day trial too. But you already bought the game...there is no "free" trial anymore. You must subscribe to have an active account, but if you don't like the game, you can cancel before the 30 days are up and you won't be charged. But you'll have still bought the game...
  13. Your alignment has to be +10k in order to get it. So at some point when you are earning LS pts, you will be at 10k, and then it will start removing DS points as you earn more LS. So for example, you have 10k LS, 50 DS, your alignment is +9950 - you can't get the Pure title until you earn 50 more LS pts, which makes your point total to be 10k LS and 0 DS - alignment +10k.
  14. Even though you have 10k LS points, you SHOULD still be able to earn more to take away DS points. Unless they changed that since beta...which would be really weird. Does it actually say you can't earn any more LS points when you try? That may want to be /bugged if not.
  15. This is the one complaint in the PvP forums that I just don't get. When I was in beta and you could enter the warzones at lvl 1, I did that with my BH. All I did was spam my lvl 1 attack. I consistently did top 3 damage for the warzones which were full of lvl 40s+. Did I die a lot? SURE. Do I care? Of course not. I also killed a lot, I did a heapton of damage...and I got a crapton of experience, money and commendations. It was sweet. I was so pissed when they moved it up to lvl 10. Warzone PvP is NOT about you. It is about the team. It is about meeting objectives - whether it be taking enemy locations on Alderaan, etc or scoring in Huttball. You can be an asset to your team starting at lvl 10 when you get into warzones, and all the way to 50. You CAN kill lvl 50s from a lower level. They can also NOT kill you. Do skills matter? Of course. Are they the absolute determining factor of how well you do? Of course not. The #1 factor which seems to affect survivability in warzone PvP is numbers/coordination - if you got 3+ guys against you and your team is no where to be found, it doesn't matter what your level is, what their level is...you are probably going to die. If the ball handler in Huttball always has his teammates surrounding him, healing him, helping him...they are going to do so much better than the ball handler whose team has abandoned him. Usually when you are getting punked by a bunch of level 50s, my experience has been that they are guilded and probably coordinating in Vent/TS/Mumble. The second factor is class...CCs and movement bolsters...mostly for them getting away or scoring in Huttball, or stopping someone from getting away. Yes this is level dependent, but you get a lot of those skills under 20 for each class. Other than that, the jump to target or pull target to you (or pull friend to you) are the most important skills - and while yes, some do have higher level requirements - they don't, in my experience, win or lose matches. You have to learn not to care about dying in warzone PvP. You have to not even care about damage/healing/kill totals. You have to worry about completing objectives, about helping your team. If you die a lot, then that is just fine. This isn't LoL where dying impacts you negatively - there's a certain bonus you get for low or no deaths, but after a certain point of deaths (5 I think?), I have found the rewards don't differ all that much no matter how many times you die. I think the way PvP is bolstered is great. I hated brackets in Warhammer, Rift and other games, because PvP wasn't bolstered, so it was really just a matter of who was in the last (*9) level of their bracket really winning the match. I love that I can go in to a warzone at level 10 and kick a bunch of 50s' butts; I love that I can group with my guildmates for PvP no matter what our respective levels are. I certainly can't do any of that in world PvP.

  17. I don't want to complain either. So how can we make the post more positive? Part of it is a community directory - server threads, guides, great discussions. Only half of it is the issues/bugs/wants. So what else could I add? PvP videos?

I haven't seen anyone really arguing that certain classes are OP, but certainly about CC. If you think a particular class is overpowered, please make a thread to argue out your points. However consensus I have seen so far says that there are no OP classes, just good and bad players - which is how PvP should be! If you are talking about a specific class/tree being underpowered in PvP, that would certainly be something to talk about. Is your spec not good for PvP? Show us why not. People levelling via PvP aren't levelling that quickly compared to quests, and one of the devs - StephenReid I think? - tweeted that everything is working as intended as far as PvP exp goes. People were level 50 via questing before they were level 40 via warzones + questing. And vendors don't really have anything to do with PvP specifically - you might want to try out one of the market threads in General Discussion.

Since the PvP forum is becoming quite crowded (and there is currently no search function on the forums), I thought a nice thread consolidation post could be used for the server threads. Furthermore, since there are various issues with PvP popping up, how about we organize our top 5 issues/wants? This way, we can bring a focused voice to the developers. I will start off by posting threads which currently seem to have the most discussion. In this thread, we should hash out what we think our top 5 gameplay issues with PvP are, list any bugs, and also give our top 5 wants. I will also list a directory of PvP server threads in this forum, and any event threads in the PvP Events forum under Community. If you have a server or discussion thread to add to this directory, please let me know! Community Feedback Bugs Affecting PvP Raid Frames in PvP - Raid frames do not always work in warzones - they stop updating with new players (or players who have left) and Ctrl+U does not fix the issue. This makes it VERY hard for healers in PvP. (Fix: Try resizing the raid frames and it should work properly). Warzone lag and ability activation sometimes very slow (Fixes: Turn off shadows, and try setting graphics to HIGH, click apply, then set them to LOW and click apply). Currently, there is a thread in General Discussion about Ability Delay, although no ETA on fixing. Furthermore, there are some updates on test server regarding lag: I encourage everyone who is experiencing lag to make test characters to see if this affects warzone PvP. Sometimes controls become completely unresponsive with rapid keypresses (using hotkeys) Daily PvP quests for warzones don't always count wins. A possible workaround is to abandon and retake the quest. On Alderaan Civil War, players are complaining that the east turret immediately does 5 pts of damage upon capture, while the west turret takes 5 seconds to start doing damage. This means that Imperials (who often take east first) will have that 5 pt advantage, even if the turrets are taken at the same time. There are complaints that Resolve does not always work (block CC) when full. Another complaint is that it will kick in after respawning, so that by the time the player rejoins PvP in a warzone, their resolve has already been used up. PvP Top Wants Open World PvP Incentives/Expand OWPvP - We love world PvP and want to ensure it does not die due to warzones. Expand upon it, Bioware! Add incentives for it! We have spoken! (update: there have been some OWPvP changes made to Ilum in the patch on test server). Add Moar Warzones (aka Huttball sucks and we are sick of it) Warzone Filters - it would be okay to have to wait longer just as long as we don't have to be playing Huttball 24/7 Allow persistent groups through warzones (so that you do not have to regroup after exiting). Allow operations to group together, so that a full premade can control one side of a match. Combat Log (?) - Is this a real community want? Raise commendation cap - 1k is too easy to get. Or allow us to buy more goods with commendations, so that we don't cap at 1k so easily. Expertise system needs to be changed. Suggestion would be to make it applicable to lvl 50 warzones only. PvP Top Gameplay Issues Framerates in Warzones - People are experiencing extreme lag in warzones and not anywhere else. Warzones disconnect - people are randomly being booted to the character select screen when joining a warzone. Server (Im)Balance - Some consider this a real issue, others not. Bioware has made it clear it won't try to force people to choose certain factions, but perhaps other solutions could be reached to make PvP work well despite imbalanced factions. This is, however, beginning to affect world PvP. A suggestion would be to allow guilds to defect to the other side. Rewards Based on MvP Votes May Not Be the Best Idea - one idea is to make it more apparent who is completing objectives Lack of Objective Medals in Huttball Camera snaps back to front once you let go of left mouse button; hard to aim behind you while running - please turn off pivot! PvP Healing - besides the issue with raid frames, there just aren't enough ways to incentivize healing in warzones. Healers don't get enough medals, and because they are healing, they don't get enough kills. For example, someone doing 200k damage will get twice the medals that someone doing 400k healing will get! Overpowered? There is not a community consensus on this currently, however, there are complaints that Sage/Sorcerer and Operative/Scoundrel are overpowered in comparison with other advanced classes. Map in Voidstar blocks top two buttons on left/right actionbars. There are some real issues with the random way champion bags give items. Some people have gotten full sets, others get gear they've already gotten (which is, of course, BoP). This is a very hot issue for many people right now. When loading into Voidstar, sometimes the inactivity timer kicks in too soon - players have not finished loading in and will have to immediately cancel the timer. It is possible to load into Voidstar before the game begins (but after the instance opens), and after taking the speeder ride still be stuck behind the death penalty barrier. This is not fair, since the players did join the instance before the game began, but the speeder ride took so long they did not get there in time before the barrier went up. A solution to this would be to keep the barrier from kicking in until 60 seconds after the warzone match begins. Have more gameplay issues? Please make a thread for it! My husband drove me crazy when I was on my SWTOR beta binge, later followed by Skyrim...he had no game to play (not in beta, not interested in Skyrim)...and he was insanely jealous I was so into my games when he had nothing to do. I probably spent more time with him that month than I ever asked him to spend with me while he was in his gaming binges and I was feeling left out. Thank GOD he got back into EVE and Minecraft. He'll be playing SWTOR too but I can tell his heart isn't going to be into it, so I'm glad he has something else to do when he gets bored of it.
  21. If anything, easy kills knocked to places that can't be reached should always drop purples...just so you have to think and ponder what you missed.
  22. If you had already completed some of the objectives inside the heroic area, then yes it may reset those objectives.
