  1. Good to know. Thanks Jackie, for letting us know. And thanks, Steve, for testing.
  2. So my subscription just expired, and I plan on leaving it that way for a couple of weeks. I've been working through GS, and overall kind of enjoy it. But I noticed as I'm progressing that now that my subscription has ended, the subscriber rewards are being auto set to 'claimed', even though I haven't, and can't, claim them. The FTP rewards remain unclaimed until I click on the button. I am also not receiving any of these auto-claimed rewards, and I don't think I should be. Now, my understanding from the news article they posted was that while I won't be able to claim those rewards while unsubscribed, when I do re-subscribe, I will be able to go and claim the rewards for the levels I have completed. But this makes it look like that is not the case. I'm thinking my best option right now is to just stop playing the game, since I don't want to lose out on some of those subscribers rewards, and I get GS points just for logging in. I'd rather not do that though. So, does anyone know, is this how it is supposed to work? And these auto-claimed subscriber rewards will switch back to unclaimed when I resubscribe? Or is this some bug that has already cheated me out of a couple rewards, and will continue to do so if I keep logging in?
  3. Alright, I've been able to log in now. I updated my graphics drivers, which apparently just had an update last week. So, everything appears to be working for me now.
  4. Yeah, still won't load for me either. Been trying to find a solution, but so far, nothing is working.
  5. I'm having this problem as well. Just resubscribed, and now I can't play.
  6. Thanks for the update Charles! I really appreciate knowing we'll get to see a little more of some of our old companions. I'm starting to grow fond of Anri, Tau and Arn, but I do miss the interactions with that core group that started this game for me. 6.1 sounds interesting, and you've got me really curious about 6.2 now. Hope I can keep my impatience in check until it gets here.
  7. To add to what was said above, guilds are also subscriber or free-to-play. If it is a subscriber guild, the guildmaster has to be a subscriber as well. This is what it sounds like happened in both cases you mentioned. The guilds were subscriber guilds, so when the guildmaster (you and your cousin) stopped subscribing, the game automatically transferred the position to the next highest ranking subscriber who had been active within the last 28 days. If I understand things correctly, you will not be able to get the guild back until you subscribe again, or all subscribing members leave the guild, which would turn it into a free to play guild. And even then, you will have to wait for the current guildmaster to go inactive for 28 days, and for the system to pick you as the next guildmaster. You could also try asking the current guildmaster to give it back to you.
  8. Hey, just wanted to say thanks for the replies. The ctrl-s trick worked on the TV's sound, but not on the computer's, and the game wasn't muted in windows. I did do some playing around.. er, randomly changing things, actually, and found that by actually selecting the computer's speakers, rather than leaving them set to default for the game, I was able to get the sound to start playing again. So, at least it's fixed.
  9. Several weeks ago, I had the game muted while I took a rather long phone call. When I unmuted it, the sound in game did not come back. I thought something in the computer had died, but on logging out of the game, found that the sound worked fine in all other programs and games I launched. I checked the sound settings in game to see if I had somehow managed to turn something off, but everything appears as it should be. I've been able to get sound to play by connecting to my TV, and using the TV's speakers. I'd like to get the sound to play through the computer again, but I'm not sure what to check. Does anyone have any advise?
  10. It's discounted because the class specific vendors sell the same stuff for 3000 tech fragments and 1,000,000 credits. So, discount, just not cheap.
  11. It looks to me like the speed buff still applies.
  12. When you first open up the crafting window, you are asked to choose which 2 you want to keep. The 3rd becomes unavailable, but you do not lose it or the progress you have made in it. Also, for the actual crafting skills (armor, synthweaving, etc) you can no longer queue more than one item at a time. Oh, and you can only have 3 crew members deployed at a time.
  13. I don't know, if you are anything like me, what you need is a break from the game. When I start getting bored with something then I know it is time to move on to something else for a little while. Whether that be a different game, or a different hobby entirely. Eventually, I'll get bored with the new thing, and work my way back around to the old thing, and, surprise, it's new again!
  14. Also unable to log into my characters who are in my strongholds. Just keep getting kicked back to the character select screen. Rishi/Drommund Kaas strongholds on Star Forge. I can login to the one character I'm currently playing who wasn't in a stronghold.
  15. I'm assuming it's not a huge deal, and that I'll be able to sell them once they unbind. But, yeah. The Credit Explosions have a bind timer since the last update went live.
  16. So, you agree that the system is messed up, but you don't thing anyone should speak up about it? I've two thoughts that come to mind that would make me happier. First, either allow us to turn conquest off for certain characters, or don't tie it to legacy. I'd have been quite happy if I could have played on the two characters I don't need conquest points on first, rather than feeling like I was being forced to play on an alt I didn't want to play on, just to make sure the conquest points went where I needed them to go. Then the extra time it was taking wouldn't have felt like quite as much of a chore. Second, open up more areas for rampage each week, so people can spread out more. I don't recall having a problem on any planet with over-population during total galactic war. Maybe having every area open for conquest is too much. But more than the 1-3 they usually do might help.
  17. Thanks for the advice. I'm itching to get my IA through the story, so I may give that a try.
  18. I was looking forward to playing SWTOR today after a long work week in which I was unable to find much time to log on. I had decided to run the dailies on Ossus on my knight to warm up, as I still am enjoying those quite a bit, then switch over to my current incarnation of my main IA for the story. She had just finished up Rishi and was ready to head to Yavin. Then I remembered that I'm trying to finish conquest on my warrior to support the guild I have her in. So, if I didn't want to waste the rampage points on the other two, I would need to play her first. Which didn't sound like fun to me at all, but, you do what you have to do, right? Besides, I figured it wouldn't take too long, and then I could go back to playing what I actually wanted to play. I logged onto my warrior, and sent her to Yavin to pick up the dailies. Started her through them. At first had a really easy time, as all the mobs had already been killed. Not helpful for my rampage goals, but at least I could get to my objectives faster, I guess. Except then I got ninja'd while waiting for my first objective to respawn. Got it the 2nd time it respawned, then spent more time circling around looking for mobs to kill for rampage and to clear the daily objectives. Got ninja'd while waiting for objectives to respawn a few more times, and then gave up. I checked the clock at this point; Yavin dailies usually take me about 25 minutes to complete. I'd just hit the 40 minute mark, and still had 5 more of them to do, and only the first level of Yavin rampage completed. Lost my interest in doing Ossus will struggling through with Yavin, and really just want to continue the story with my IA now, but given the difficulties I was having on Yavin with my warrior, I think I'll just wait for this conquest week to end before I try taking my IA there. Which means I really have nothing to do in the game until next week tuesday. So, thanks Bioware! Looks like I'll have plenty of time to get caught up on my housework and my reading.
  19. As far as I can tell, companions who liked or loved them before being romanced, still like/love them after being romanced. But they don't work on comps who are supposed to like/love them only after starting a romance.
  20. While I agree that a lot I have seen about the game looks good, unless they add a solo play option, there is nothing in the game for me. I will not be trying it out.
  21. If he hasn't already tried this, have him log out of the game, and completely shut the launcher down, then start it back up. When I went from pref to subscriber I had to do that in order for the game to recognize the switch.
  22. It may be a bug. I had the same thing happen on one of my characters. I did part of KOTFE, part of KOTET, then skipped directly to Ossus without doing Iokath or any of the traitor arc. I do not have access to the Iokath dailies. I submitted a ticket in game to try and learn more. The customer rep says he is forwarding my report to the developers, but cannot do anything about it. It 'may' be fixed in a future patch, but he has no idea when, or if it ever will be. So, in future, if you want the Iokath Dailies, do the Iokath storyline.
  23. Saboteur's have the 'Saboteur Spy Games' conquest missions. They give out the same amount of conquest points, but have different objectives.
  24. If I am remembering correctly, the Bounty Hunter ends up joining the mandalorians, and is not imperial. The BH may in fact be aligned with the Empire, but is not, in fact, an Imp. From my reading of things, that is very much what the Alliance will be doing going forward; allying with the Republic or the Empire, but maintaining a separate identity from either. It may not make any logical sense to you why the Alliance would still be around, but repeating that over and over again is not going to change other peoples minds. Several people have posted here why it makes logical sense to them, and their opinion is no less valid than yours.
