  1. So what am I gonna do about character names, considering I have four chars on different servers with the same exact name Not to mention possibly losing char names when people take others. Address please.
  2. Welp.... Hi there, been maining an op healer since 2013 Endured the sage madness of the last 18 months, watched the merc hilarity of the last six months, finally felt like this latest round back in July or whatever, that operatives had finally achieved a level of PvP parity. You know, when not scrambling for our lives from three guys taking advantage of our nonexistant survivability while engaged or healing our allies... But hey, lets just knock the operative down another peg, weaken proactive healing, destroy or cripple what meager burst potential existed.... So the new heirarchy of heals goes.... Merc Sorc Marauder Operative No that was not a mistake. Your quest to bring HPS fluff numbers in line just completely ended the viability of a spec in PvP entirely. We wont even be able to keep ourselves alive, much less anyone else. *********** stupid.
  3. Keep the dailies at this level It is not game breaking People are actually running old content. There is zero reason to revert
  4. 99 percent of the time Ortuno damage is their own fault though. Probes + a few top offs is all anything but the tank ever needs if they dont stand in stupid. =/ Amazes me to this day, how the same people that have founder tags and so on, still dont understand basic mechanics. Come to think of it, even the four you listed are mostly player made mistakes vs real healchecks. Off the top of my head the only FP "healchecks" are knowing when to cleanse, such as with Tunneler and the droid guy in Tython. (even korriban incursion is all about moving away from circles). Blows my mind man. But if the team wipes, I promise you its the healer's fault.
  5. I only pug FPS because its better than soloing most of them, takes too long (hammer vet takes me 30 minutes or so but I can do it alone). Healer + comp can solo almost every vet mode FP, and even a couple Master modes. But why do that when you can pug up some free deeps, i guess? How there is so much fail among players in this game baffles me, especially when you get that pug group that wants to go mega slow and deliberate, when you yourself could aggro three trash spawns worth of NPCs and probably kill them before the other three even managed to kill a gold.
  6. Take them out if a healer is present, seriously. No healer worth anything can fail at any flashpoint content, with a couple very specific master mode fights being a little tougher. No "good" healer will fail, period. DPS and tanks should not be hitting these heal stations, just hit the goddamned boss. Seriously. It is probably my biggest pet peeve in the game, especially when I am winding up a big heal on someone, ive got them, and they panic mode and fastclick because they dont trust their healer. its just stupid AND for those with less experience as healers, it takes away from learning how to manage in the clutch. Stations in vet mode make learning the class nearly impossible outside of Master mode, where the crutch no longer exists. There are some vet runs I do where i just give up healing entirely and just overload shot the bosses because some click happy marauder moron needs my DPS just to get the fight over with. A dps healing, and a healer dpsing. Makes total sense.
  7. You mean the "crouching right in the middle of the road on a sunny day as 30 guys on horseback that cant see you ride by" kind? I know that kind....
  8. Best part is when your team double caps and youve been farming them all match, and your score instantly ends the match XD
  9. Istotopes (they will always be known by this name, we do not forget) are the cause of 5.4 to be a failure? Dude, I have over 1500 of them. They were candy. They have almost no value. Now maybe they will have value. Chillax.
  10. You are a little slow, arent you? If that character is Valor 55, then it has probably participated in over 100 (its closer to 400 when its mostly losses) matches. 35 wins, pubside harbinger, in prime or latenight, out of probably 300-400 matches played Now do you understand? I am answering the OP. If you play pub on Harb, and youre pugging or just queueing solo, you will yield less than 1 in 10 wins because the pubs suck horribly. Even if youre a good player yourself, you will never achieve parity. Might as well go back imp and 50/50 it vs your own faction. The flip side, is as soon as organized pubs (imps flip back to pub toons anyway) show up in the queues, the imps quit for a couple hours.
  11. Some perspective A newer character of mine is Valor 55 I have 35 wins I pug Figure that one out.
  12. I giggled at "a little" Yes, set them up to fail, watching fotm players reroll to operatives and become utter trashcans overnight was one of the most satisfying experiences I have had in PvP in quite some time. At least the ones that rolled to merc seemed to be able to stay alive, i wonder why that is...
  13. omg how have i never seen this gem before? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Best part is the "duel" near the end vs Panzer lawl
  14. Youve got it wrong, OP. Win/loss doesnt matter to me that much, though of course I play to win. If my team loses but I played the best game I could, what else can be said?
  15. The old system of having at LEAST your full 204s was better than today, but my point stands, until they gate it that way again, its lunacy to think a player driven gate system ala harassment and abuse until the noob quits, is somehow better.
  16. Place a bounty on the head of the moron, proceed to fraps the BH (who happens to be a guildmate since you yourself dont have a bh) obliterating the moron in restuss... spam the video all over the place. Oh wrong game >_>
  17. I am actually going to disagree with you on one point. Stating that it is intended for "experienced" players in good gear is incorrect, as the minimum requirements to queue do not reflect your statement. Currently level 70 with valor 25 are the only actual requirements for ranked. Anything above and beyond this is a player construct. Unless said gate is changed, that is the way it is, and going out of ones way to bash or berate a player for choosing to do something the game allows them to do, is completely wrong no matter how much I might agree about coming prepared. However, if I were to suggest making the gate more restrictive (ie: graying out the queue button until someone has everything you listed etc etc) what few ranked players we have would be in yet another uproar about how few people queue or how long the wait between pops then becomes. Making ranked a more attractive environment, by perhaps, and follow me here.... not being a bunch of irreverant douchebags to every noob that turns up... or maybe backing off the minmax when its absolutely clear your "cannot lose perfect team" just blanked the ill prepared pug in a squash match..... maybe making round 2 more competitive... But I am probably asking too much of the one percent here... what will really happen is another gleeful pugstomp, or another alienated noob who will never queue again. gg, you just dropped the ranked player base even more.
  18. Dont tease me That would be a dream come true heh.
  19. I didnt sub to this game (or even main it as my primary mmo) until late 2015. Before that, I played it as a freebie, once a week for my weekly five warzones (or whatever it was), super casual indeed. Oh and a handful of FPs back when level mattered, and some other shenanigans. 2-4 hours at most a week. Good times. It took me 2 years to get my first level 50 character, and those are the days I remember the fondest, those few warzones on the weekend Now that I am here nearly on the daily, it saddens me to even consider rolling a lowbie, knowing how bad the queues are on any server. I relished lowbie pvp. I logged into one of my old pvp chars from back in my freebie days, a little level 24 on Ebon Hawk, and remembered back when I had 4 inventory rows, 200k creds was max, but damn if that queue didnt pop the second i pushed the button. Ebon Hawk was probably the best lowbie pvp server for a long long time (ive played many servers and that one had the fastest pops bar none). I guess roleplayers make for rabid lowbie pvp aficonados eh? That being said.... I pushed the button this time.... and nothing. I waited for a half hour sitting there on pub fleet. All I saw was political banter, trolling, and just unremarkable trade spam. The queue never popped. Probably gone for good, all of those xp bonus weeks last year and this year... along with the slog of command xp discouraging people from starting new chars.... just murdered it. Even 1 1/2 years ago those queues popped like magic. Today? Nope.
  20. time of day matters but its a crapshoot you get one of four things. (from a healer's perspective anyway, i rarely play tank/dps on pubside nowadays) 1. You end up on a team of four tanks and four healers, most of which suck balls, and cant kill anything, and just objective spam, which tends to fail more often than not, as the other team never dies and just starts doing the same back. 2. You end up as the solo healer on a team of really really bad dps that have no sense of group play whatsoever, ************ you out in opschat because youre not following each and every one of them all over the map in every direction possible while they try to duel tanks with healer support..... meanwhile the other team figured out youre the only healer and make it their life's work to 5v1 you every time you come out of spawn. Chances are, youll also be the only person even making a halfass attempt to play objective, cap anything, or defend anything as well. Sometimes you will be in the top 3 damage as a healer.... just think about that one for a bit. 3. You end up the solo pub on a team of imps in odessen (i hate odessen personally, but this is usually the best outcome) 4. You actually get into a decent balanced team that quits because someone forgot to guard a node, and give up after one round because god forbid they have to try to come back from a loss. Meanwhile, everyone that stayed, huddles up on the one turret friendly held until the match ends. You then either ragequit to impside, or roll the dice again for one of the four above outcomes. Have fun. I get my 20/20 in every week, but its usually ACTUALLY 20 instead of 10-15 for weekly. Pubs are really really really bad. But we keep on trying, i guess? My dps char pubside is still tier 1, but every time i happen to feel like actually playing it, like magic I at least seem to break a million. Its frustrating to watch man, it really is. Ill never know why I chose to main healers, at least impside theres a better ratio, and dps that can, ya know, kill things.
  21. Came across this little guy, little beat up, no idea why, http://imgur.com/a/Msbfz Edit to add: This was on Harbinger
