  1. On the other hand the smuggler (scoundrel) has a scatter gun. No deflecting it with a lightsaber. At the same time the smuggler would continue firing his blaster. The Youtube channel Generationtech did several videos about fighting a Jedi/Sith and they make good points. I recommend the channel to every SW fan, it's quite hillarious
  2. Overall with all the expansions i think the two best choices are 1) Jedi Knight 2) Sith warrior Both are tied to the sith emperor and feel most organic over the course of the entire story. Since you are facing a lot of powerfull force users it is hard to imagine how for example an agent or a smuggler manages to defeat them. However, for RP reasons over all (meaning all of the events and the casual daily gaming itself) i think the smuggler is a good choice. The story is a lot of fun and you can totaly RP being a captain doing jobs with your crew to get rich while doing your daily grind for credits. Hard to see why a Jedi knight would care about credits or why a Sith warrior would do jobs for some random person and not just kill them and take their stuff.
  3. I am experiencing the same on Tulak Hord. It started about an hour ago, ping went up to 50XX and now keeps jumping between low 30s and several hundreds.
  4. Then just play the class you feel most comfortable with. I think a stealth class is best sorted for casual players with limited time since it allows to skip trash mobs. So for you as a DPS / healer fan and PvP player that'ld be Sith warrior (marauder), Sith Inquisitor (deception assassin) or imperial agent (operative all specs).
  5. On Imp side (Inquisitor, married) i didn't even get a flirt option at the end of Onslaught.
  6. This reminds me of Anakin Skywalker and his desire to become a council member. Anakin Skywalker was the poster boy of the Jedi order during the clone wars. To the public and most of the order he was everything a Jedi knight and hero was supposed to be: Young, powerfull, smart, brave, kind and handsome. Only few took notice of the danger he represented (Yoda, Mace Windu and to some degree Obi Wan). Since he wasn't just brave, he was also hot headed and reckless. He was kind indeed, but also ruthless towards his enemies. And since Anakin knew how important he was for the order and the republic he craved their veneration. The reasoning why the Jedi knight should be given a seat in the council is exactly the same. He/she is powerfull, heroic, brave, charismatic and whateer the player wants him/her to be in addition (handsome for example). But the knights' involvement with the Sith emperor is indeed troubling, even if it is not necessrily his/her fault. In addition the Jedi knight was in a constant frontline situation since the arrival on Tython. This is even part of the bonus quest on Rishi, where the knight is tasked to finaly do something else than just fight, fight, fight. The difference between the Jedi knight and the Sith warrior is mostly their allegiance, not so much their role. They are both killers. And while this is enough to be a Sith warrior, it is not enough to be a Jedi (or dark council member). To put it simple: The Jedi knight didn't have the chance yet to prove that he/she is more than a weapon until he/she lead the alliance against Zakuul. A job requiring as much military prowess as diplomatic skills. Tje Jedi defeated the emperor once and for all, rescued the galaxy, overcame his/her ultimate nemesis and proved to be more than just a weapon => Council access granted. The Sith warrior is a different piece of work. As Emperors Wrath he/she is indeed superior to the dark council and depending on the line choosen after killing Baras the player can even point that out (the council even bows before the Wrath). This changes when the emperor turns against the empire and the original title of Wrath essentially seizes to exist. Darth Marr however makes good use of the empires most powerfull weapon, grants the warrior a new (symbolic) title and sends the warrior out to kill his traiterous master. The title of "Empires wrath" is a title of respect, acknowledging the warriors achievements and that he/she is beyond the pitty politics within the Sith empire. Essentially the warrior is turned into the empires mascot. Acina / Vovrawn later offers the former political influence and number 2 rank as well if the warrior bends the knee (something i just can not do anymore, my warrior bends the knee to noone). As far as i know SWTORs Jedi knight / Sith warrior story was originally part of the planned KOTOR 3 story until it got scraped for SWTOR. To some degree you can see the warrior as the Jedi knight under the emperors control if you want. So yeah, the knight probably killed a lot of Jedi while under the emperors control and the emperor was quite proud of his new toy.
  7. Server: Tulak Hord Character: Kalaidan Class: Jedi - Guardian Issue: Quest: Armed and dangerous / Bewaffnet und gefährlich I accidentally abandoned the quest just after getting it from Averdon and now i can not re-obtain it. I even got a guild member to help out via sharing it, but he couldn't share the quest, it was greyed out. The previous attempt of sharing the initial quest leading to "Armed and dangerous" wasn't working either. My buddy just got the message that i am not qualified for this quest. Most likely because i already did it. So he did the initial quest with me in his group, turned it in, got "armed and dangerous" but then he was unable to share it. Can you reset / grant my character the quest? It would me very much appreciated.
  8. I can not confirm this to be working. I just abandoned the second planetary quest on Nar Shadaa (Rep side - The one where i have to talk to Nurkolas) and now i can not get it back in any way. I tried talking to all previous questgivers, i tried getting it from another player via sharing, nothing is working. It is gone forever. This char was supposed to be my 100% immersion run so it bothers me beyond imagination that i can not complete an entire questchain. I am furious!
  9. Since we get 2 on every character with 6.1 i start wondering if they can be bought from some vendor now?
  10. Yes, at least inside the alliance control room. And i'ld prefere an independent Odessen to keep its own banners too.
  11. Wow, sounds a bit salty...But whatever. Glad we will get the Alderaan stronghold and i still hope we will get an Odessen stronghold next. However, a game staying online and getting content to keep and grow its player base are not the same, i think you know that. SWTOR is still a very fun game, but it needs more content updates. Waiting a year or more for the next drop of story related content is not enough to keep the players.
  12. Just like they fixed the chapter 9 Lana romance bug? (Hint: they didn't) I won't even get into all the other bugs Bioware never fixed in this game. And while i scrapped my Coruscant stronghold because of this damn sound bug, i am still waiting for an Odessen stronghold. C'mon Bioware, just do it!
  13. And yet, as far as i know, they didn't even ackowledge the Coruscant stronghold noise bug. So don't expect anything.
  14. Just get new people to play with. Since the repair costs are out of control i choose to main a guardian tank and so far i am realy enjoying it. I find it's arsenal of def CDs quite comforting. And since i am new to tanking it is already stressfull enough compared to DPS. I don't want to bother too much about staying alive in random groups either. I do think however that tanking and healing needs some more love from the devs compared to DPS. Lower repair costs and higher mission rewards for example. The about 20k are nothing once you are equipped in full 306 gear and have to press the repair button of bankruptcy
