It's been a problem since the game first went to steam yet the problem has not been fixed. People like me shouldn't have to wait days for their sub to be active so they can play the game, submitting tickets, searching google etc and finding out you have to call CS, then send screenshots, and the people working there then require more screen shots despite the ones you've provided having everything the CS rep on the phone asked for in the email.

Yes they do, for me I just deleted the patch folder, "assets_swtor_test_en_us.version" and the patcher2014 and 2017 files. Before I did that it would get stuck on installing main assets XXX to XXX something, I noticed when I deleted those files it ended up downloading different files and it works fine for me.

You would have to move the entire swtor folder to another drive

I've tried deleting the PTS related files and it still gets stuck on it, it manages to download "assets_swtor_test_main_298to299" if that helps.

I was making a joke, since they buffed lightning DR. I think both specs could use a bit of a buff, Lightning doesn't burst that hard compared to other burst classes and I'm not sure how much pressure madness provides with its dots. I also don't like spamming force lightning, i think the madness rotation is a bit brain dead and boring.

Dude Sorc barrier barely heals you after the utility nerf in whatever patch that was. If we're talking about nerfing DCDs then Mercs should be the first to be nerfed, properly this time. Second CC break is sorta a point but simply using it that way can bite you in the butt.

My mistake, I thought you could have been but you never know. I don't play with premades, I don't get frustrated though, I play the class because I enjoy playing it, I prefer ranged classes in general and sometimes it's a bit funner to play with a bit of a challenge compared to something like a Merc or Sniper.

Right, let's keep them the same because a decent lightning sorc and some other dps made a bad healer squirm. It's pretty easy to get top or near top DPS in either DPS sorc spec, the trouble is that most of that damage is fluff. I can use either spec and hit top damage 9 out of 10 times (sometimes by an embarrassing margin) if my team isn't crap but the damage I'm doing isn't all that useful.

Couldn't help myself mate. I main a Sorc though so I'm definitely hoping they do something with them so they don't hit like a wet noodle.

I was teasing, sorry, I have no idea what they have or haven't got planned. They have a 5% bonus now(nerfed some time ago) so 15% would be nice, they'd prob have to adjust the damage of other abilities to balance the sustained but crit bonus is how I would fix the spec, so it would actually be a burst spec.

They will have a full team working weekends confirmed.

I was making an additional point. But really adjusting to high ping times is a bit rubbish, you're still playing with a disadvantage to other players and attempting to compensate for that can only get you so far. In wzs though it doesn't really matter, merely being competent at your class will put you near the top of the deeps with fewer deaths.
