  2. Do not worrie, we will all become old for the time beeing to self craft a full set. I see this content as a great life long goal. It's a very creative, interesting and inovative crafting system, it's worth that few years 24/7 gaming to craft that full end game set. Specially that it also has incredible benefits vs the one that you can farm out by a few hammerstation run. I suggest everyone to keep up and do not afraid to sacrefice your real life to achieve this great goal - it's really worth it. I can just bless the one who intruduced this system.
  3. At 2. day after 6.0 the half of the playerbase had full 306 gear set by running hammer station a few times, on the other side we have the existing crafting system - now prove that the one was not full drunk when he intruduced this new system
  4. I see Your point of view. I will make a test how blue crafted gear is goes true ZW bloster. If it can reach full 306 stats (marginal different) in that case your scenario can be absolutely playable. Since lets face it, in pve you do not have to have top tier gear, ZW where it's batter the most even if we have bloster. I will report back after I made a full blue set and tested it in WZ.
  5. No, I mean you would be able to build up two lines of schematics in your recipe book: - bound to legacy - free to transfer / sell - bound to legacy: would not need any matrix at all. Not a single one (or ok, maybe 1 for yellow 306, but even that is overkill for a casual crafter who want to dress up a few alts) - free to transfer / sell: would need the existing recipe due to matrix shards Why? Because it's clear like sky, that BW has a business-driven idea in their mind and to let crafting be profitable would step on it AKA they will never allow it from this point. My idea would not disturb their business-driven concept, since we already can farm out tons of 306 by running pve content that is bound to legacy.
  6. Well, I guess I realized why you (devs) made this terrible nightmare due to crafting But how you did not figured out the following solution: - craft without matrix : bound to legacy - craft with matrix: bound on pickup to legacy Welcome.
  7. Clear. And sure, due to a giant mmo like swtor bugged lines can escalate fast. But it seems they found a solution to filter them out by the help of the community. They introduced Resource Matrix that is works as a bug magnifier! Since we need 8 Resource Matrix / craft, I see bugs every wear. But out of joking and cynical mood, honestly speaking, the game went into a very bad direction. They forgot to think from the perspective of their customers. All I see that they are aiming with every changes, ideas for the weekly meetings/presentations to get the green light (and money) over and over again by EA "with this we will be able to force them to spend their money by buying cartel packs" It's all good it's a company, not a hobby, but they went too far. This mmo (from the perspective of investment) died at the 2. week after its release. They made a bad decision to generate a WoW clone with SW franchise. I remember how they had to close hundreds of servers basically few days after the release. Let’s call it on its name: it was a disaster from business perspective. And for 10 years no one had balls from the management to admit, that making a WoW clone was a fail and all they do is hitting a dead horse and they had to rebuild the whole game. They rather started to run after their money. Introducing a very aggressive in-game shop. (making kids gambling addicts is easier than rebuild an mmo I had to admit) If you read till this point my long text, probably you are asking yourself, that "than why did you subscribed?" Well, if I want to play skill based pvp there are a lot of great games for that, if I want to play tactical games, I can also find a bunch of top ones, same with sandbox, conquest games and so on... When I subscribe to SWTOR I want to relax with it. I want to ride on different planets, gathering some resources, crafting some gears from it, running a story line if it seems interesting and not just a time trap (there are some) You know, floating in the atmosphere of SW after a long working day without moving my mind - since here in SWTOR (WoW clone) you do not have to use your mind, you can turn it off. So, I bought 3 month (will use just a few days actually till my holyday, than maybe some WZ after work, but well, let it be 3 month...) And what I see?! With the new crafting system, they disabled the one and only fun, relaxing part of the game from my perspective. I was wondering: what they want from me? Standing front of GTN and buying cartel packs? That’s what they left. Since I hope no one believes that I'm having fun by running hammer station for the 1200th time, or that I see any meaning in guild conquest in SWTOR, or we would have any meaningful pvp in this game. For that there are other games. Why they messed it up this greatly? But well, I of course know the answer, : the concept seemed great on the meeting / presentation where they begged for more money, for the green light, kneeing front of EA
  8. But for a year? In that case I do not even want to imagine what giant list of bugs they have
  9. Yes, " referencing the same variables" that’s what we do as well in most Houdini Vex expressions to reach a so-called procedural game asset / or any kind of procedural 3D model. You know the sad part of this story, that we have 2 options here: the game is left behind (I doubt that they do not have any programmers on the deck and this mmo is running in auto pilot, since they releasing new maps, story lines, so there is definitely a team in the background. 2 option: they left it like this with a porpoise, by generating a gold sink trap. - I never would cheat our customers like this. Honestly, never. I have no idea how a big gaming company can allow something like this for them self.
  10. Well, I guess it's not a secret, that the main goal here: is to make cartel coin buy-up the one and only real beneficial in-game eco act. And it's logical, and I have no issues with it. They are a company, they work, they develop this game to generate income for living, not for punishing or making crafters happy The thing is: - most of the dedicated players gathered up way too much in-game credits AKA it's very hard to force them to buy cartel packs for selling the items - for in-game credits. So, they introduced the new crafting system. It has one porpoise: burning down as much in-game credit, gathered up materials as possible. Play FP / op if you like pve Play warzone if you like this kind of arenas Leave crafting / or jump to this train, but be prepared, that you will pay with your whole bank
  11. update: the lag is gone since a few days. positive
  12. Thanks so much for your answer! Lot of infos here. Oh my god... so the game is dead, just they are gathering up some subscription money untill ppl are willing to pay it Thanks again for your informative answer, that pointed out a sad fact: Some gaming contents as crafting for example are close to a scam, rather than an in-game content. (side note: I'm not a programmer, I'm a visual artist, but I'm working with Unreal Engine, I also working with VEX expressions due to procedural game assets in Houdini and I would not be able to find a way to make a "bug" like the mentioned above crit chance mess - it's close to impossible if not the cat in the office the one who is writing the scripts/codes to mess up a simple parametrical expression line as crit chance till crafting attempt - and if it's not a bug, in that case it's a scam, since I can clearly read: 75% crit chance till crafting missions. And the cherry on top: we just get amps as: + xy crit chance till crafting, that everyone is calling "bugged / broken" - same story here: it cannot be bugged, it's impossible to mess up such a simple code line)
  13. my lvl 50 companion has 75% crit chance VS my lvl 1 companion has 1% crit chance I made some experiments and my lvl 1 had a bit more frequent crit rolls till crafting as my lvl 50 companion. Till 10 crafts my 50 made 1 crit my lvl 1 made 2 Do anyone knows what 75% crit chance means? Do we have (lets say) 3% crit chance and 75% means 75% + as 3% turns to 5.25%?
  14. some update: I was able to RE 286 purple mods Now I need 8 matrix to craft them, So if I get it right it will cost me 8 matrix to RE to the next tier IF I RE the mext tier for the first roll right? How many matrix I need till 306? IF I RE everything for the first roll? (side note: lol) To quote something from my first post: I was able to gather up a full 302 set by doing FP 4 hours / day and it took me 2 days as 8 hours gameplay - hard to compair it with crafting. What is happening around crafting? It's a prank?
  15. Thanks for the matrix drop info! So being in a guild is a benefit. I see the amp effects and their meaning, it's sad to hear that they are broken. I was hunting for all crit chance amps that is not an easy task, since they are in the 3. tier that is very rare in the top slot (that we can modify) +8 crit chance on top of a lvl 50 companion crit chance seemed great on paper, but it seems (as you mentioned) it's broken, so meaningless. + speed is not what I would go for. Even numerically it seemed a marginal destructible amp stat, it really has no role to gather or finishing a mission 4% faster. It would be 70%... in that case maybe I would call it beneficial. And yea, it could be that I was just daydreaming about unlocking hidden layers of crafting by maxing out some of these (marginal) crafting amps - I just tried to find a meaning for them : D
  16. Thanks for the info Steve. Clear. And it seems grindy! Specially with the % drop 60% to 20% ....wow such a large step is a no brainer, specially that we can farm out 302 gear in two days and from that point you just dress up all your alts in the and buying random ger for tech fragments, that all will be 100% at 302 or above. Anyway, I will try out to salvage out a 306 schematic, just as an experiment, since all my alts can craft / gather, but if it turns out a mindless grind trap it could be that this new crafting system will be my ticket to a new mmo. But it also could be that there are some fun hidden layers, since let’s be honest, it’s a brand new system, so a team was working on it for weeks, they had to get several approvals by the management, and it was tested for several month on PTS - so I have hope.
  17. Thank you so much for the info! So basically, I should buy the tier 268 schematics from crafting vendors and by item destruction I have a chance to salvage out schematics up to 306 from it? And yes, I read that the cost is a bit out of reach, but I did not even reach that stage Apropos cost; Where can we get / gather / loot the matrix cubes? They are random drops of FPs , or random gathering drops? My issue right now that this crafting system seems not complex, but a bit messy, but it also could be that there are some hidden layers as: - could it be that if we max out (let’s say) related crafting critical chance OR efficiency amplifier stats than we can gather matrix cubes with great chance? - or with the same above-mentioned way we can make looted tier 270+ gear salvageable for schematics? Or I should not expect (complex) logic like that behind the scenes?
  18. How we can actually get 303 schematics/crafting recipes? I was able to gram a full set of 300/302 gear in 2 days of gameplay (running flashpoints with my lvl 75 char) he started in old 260 gear. I was working 8/10 hours a day (rl), so calculate with few hours gameplay in night hours. Now with a great effort I reached 700 in some crafting and gathering skills. Now I'm wondering that where we can get 303 schematics? I count as 303 is the base / the origo after 6.0 and logically with crafting we go just for stat variations, amplifier variations. - I could not find any schematics at crafting vendors - I deconstructed about 100+ looted gear/item modification that all were trash/for scrap items: "cannot learn new schematics by deconstructing the items" Do I miss something? Thanks in advance for the info!
  19. Hmm, I just made a thread due to the same issue on my side. And as I see you made Yours on 11.23, that was nearly a month ago Funny since thats the one and only English EU server right? So no way for asking a free legacy transfer. Or do we have other English EU servers? In that case a free transfer by support could be a solution.
  20. I started to lag a few days ago. It escalated fast, yesterday I recorded a funny WZ where I had 15 sec lag spikes constantly (of course I will not upload it to YouTube, since we will get some bonus days to our sub time to compensate this matter, so in return it would be rude to upload an unplayable stage) Now I cannot even log in. I was asking around in game yesterday, that how many of us has this crazy lag and it turned out that it's not on my side, a lot having the same issue - Well, it's not laggy, it's unplayable. If I open the dev tracker forum section, I can see well that some new cartel market items arrived, that makes me super exited, but unfortunately, I could not find a single word about the above-mentioned issue. How many of you are facing with such lag? Is it pin related? Is the server under ddos attack? I'm writing here since I do not want to face such an issue till my holyday gaming time, if it's not something that is priority to solve, or it will be not solved in the next days, I rather be patient, make a pause due to SWTOR and play something else till these lag issues exists. in before its hardware related: Ryzen 2700x, Asus Crosshair Hero VII, 32 gig RAM at 3200, RTX 2070 Net connection: 500Mb/sec
  21. that's an interesting article! specially the "There's history here" part
  22. Just take a look that what empire Blizzard was able to build up back in the days... simply becouse their game offered a bunch of new aspects, simply by generating incredible amount of subscriptions. Now take a look how many subscription SWTOR owning right now... not too much to be honest... since the game can not offer any new, fresh, challenging content. They copy the (for now) obsoleted WoW, but well, they do not even care, since cartel shop that brings the income, not the new contents. (By the way, SWTOR is a kind of a "Prospero" in a way, since they still trying hard with brand new story lines but in the same time it seems if they would make it as a hobby : ) since the focus is on microtransactions) I subscribe to swtor like 3 month / a year since there is not much to do beside running the new single player storyline and that's it. But I would subscribe non-stop if they would be able to keep my interest with in game elements. I understand that the existing scenario if far the best for them: - low population, just a few servers : means much, much cheaper hosting - the few who subscribe for a short time spending buying as many cartel packs, like if they would be subed for 2 years... and they even leaving due to lack of longterm interesting content, so they do not even lag the server with their nonstop existence : P - and they do not have to bugfix the tons of changed, messed up code lines that a real multiplayer new game content would generate. So due to profit, it's much, much better way, than the classic old school game development (new content generates subscribers)
  23. (sorry that I quoted just a part of your post, but I wanna answer exactly on this) But why it should be banned? As I mentioned it, you can be earning them as a quest reward (optional quest reward) Just it would be not rl money related. What would you miss? - the excitement that you spend rl money on a random reward? - the fact that you would be probably limited by opening boxes, since you have to make (lets say) 50 FP to open 50 box? - to support the game development by buying cosmetic items? The trading aspect would stay in this case, since you can play out the above mentioned scenario of yours (trading in not needed rewards for one needed reward) But well, it's all just our personal feedback, our personal opinion, probably it will count a great zero when anyone who can will make a decision due to this subject.... I would like to believe that EA will turn out with a solution, that they will try to develop a super complex crafting system in their games, that has no rl money involved, that will appetite and fulfil the wishes of their RNG fan player base. That they will focus on even more interesting cosmetic item sales that can offer in game playable contents, serve their income, but would never serve a p2w scenario (lets say great guild or personal ships that has a bunch of playful interactive elements) But lets be honest, even if anything will happen it will be the following: - 18 + in EU - 21+ in USA They already know well, that even if it's 16+ right now a bunch of 10-12 year old players hanging around... not much would change...
  24. Do not misunderstood me, I do not lobby to ban RNG rl money related gambling from MMOs becouse of my own addictive personality, but becouse all others who never in their life meet up with addictions. I know well, that just once, just once you have a weak period in your life and if you step on a trap till that stage you done. You open up the door and it will stay open, no matter what opened it up.... And yea, you are right! Playing MMOs is an addiction as well. This time I do not wanna write a novell again with my terrible English, beside, let me share a short story: My wife knows that she is living with an addictive husband, she knows that MMOs are the part of my addiction. As a surprise she buys me a bunch of subs / games, since she knows that I like them : ) She also knows that I can work, earn money, stay myself, behave in a best way with our daughter, be a good father, a good husband even if I play out my addiction as a gamer. There is no problem with it at all! BUT she is a clever woman and even if she do not plays these games she knows better than some players who are playing them that what lies behind these innocent lootbox openings : ) So as I mentioned, she buys me games, subs as a surprises, but she would leave me with our daughter immediately if I would start to buying and opening "loot boxes" in daily bases. She would immediately know where it leads... From the other side, as a gamer, I hate that nowadays gaming companies started to turn lazy as hell! They are making way too much easy money by these P2W microtransactions, and by selling the RNG boxes....I want them to bring us contents, to fight for my subscription by surprising me with new, creative never seen contents.
