  1. Thermonuclear shot. Didn't you take that talent? It blows up the whole wz and does a 2 sec knockdown to the corpses.
  2. Thanks. It looks like I need to level a bit (I think I'm around 20). I put my scoundrel on hold and levelled up a shadow (currently 30). Looks like I was doing things right, but simply didn't have the skills to occupy all the extra time sitting around firing the free bolts. Maybe I'll play him like the gunslinger after closing on melee range and crouch until I get the appropriate skills to be a pugilist. Energy management wasn't the issue... as I said, I have a level 50 gunslinger (and a 30 commando, which uses the same mechanic). I was using quick shot, too. It was simply feeling clunky, and I figured I must be missing something important as a result. I must say, the limited range took some getting used to.
  3. I soloed this at 29 and it was a stupidly long fight. About 18 minutes. I recommend at least level 30 or 31.
  4. My scoundrel rotation seems to be stealth in, shotgun to the back, blaster whip for upper hand, that 'P-something' ability for energy regen, then quickshots and blaster whip until dead. Sometimes I also do the DOT (vital shot?) if I remember. Basically, I feel like there's a lot of wasted time where I'm not doing damage or winding up a high damage shot. What am I missing? I play dps classes a lot... and this doesn't feel like I'm doing it right. It just doesn't have the feel of a dpser. Any min/maxers out there that can enlighten me?
  5. Well that was an interesting fight! But more importantly, it was incredibly long at 29. I don't recommend it until you're at least level 30 unless you bring a friend, but now I understand the game a bit more. No, I didn't record it Minor spoiler: Major spoiler
  6. Gunslinger is very, very squishy, and has to rely on heavy damage and a little guile to keep things from killing you or your companion. Occasionally, you just have to let your companion drop while you open up as much dps as possible, in order to kill the elite before it kills you. Even reasonably geared at 50, you'll run into 50 elites giving you a lot of trouble if you don't pay attention. Slingers are very squishy. Ask any pvper. But don't leave them alone, or they'll put out some serious hurt.
  7. Excellent! I didn't catch that reference. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw the Big Trouble references, too. I recorded the quote "It's all in the reflexes".
  8. Han and chewie also snuck up on a probe droid, AND used cover to kill it.
  9. Awesome I've been doing something similar. It's cool to see some of the female dialogue. Good voice, too.
  10. Turn off his aoe taunt. that'll share some damage with you. The companion I'm really liking is akaavi. She dominates on damage. With worse gear, my gs kills faster than with risha. btw, check bowdaar's skills and make sure Guard Stance is turned on! Invest in the best shield you can find...it'll last a while.
  11. "If you know something that can save my life ... or ... just spare me some pain -- see, I don't like pain -- you better start talking."
  12. I can't agree. My gs is extremely easy to level. Sweeping blasters and a few grenades with bowdaar will crush groups of 3. I can level standing at the gtn.
  13. Gs seems like a gunfighter and brawler in one. I cam clear a room or hallway really fast, and finish off single mobs in style. Kicks, punches, pistol whips and grenades... You got it all I often play without any cover, just running around shooting stuff.
