  1. This is happening to me as well.
  2. But this doesn't "solve" anything. Bioware needs to stop making rewards such as these usable only in personal strongholds. It's nonsensical!
  3. I hate it that close quarters has been removed. Ugh! It's one feature that always made the sentinel more interesting to play for me. Please bring it back!
  4. Well my in-game ticket was never responded to, but I figured out the issue. I have my SWTOR settings folder that's originally in the APPDATA folder on my Dropbox, and I have a symlink pointing to it at the original location. This is so I can use the same settings on my desktop and gaming laptop (which I use when I'm away from home). I do this for a lot of games, and never had an issue. Been playing SWTOR for several years now without any issue like this. Well, it seems that SWTOR was unable to create the "Keybindings" folder along that path, although it never has trouble creating *files* there when I've created new GUI settings in the past. In any event, when I deleted my symlink to the folder and restarted the game, it of course created a new folder along that path. With that new local folder there it was able to create its "Keybindings" folder and save my settings. Then I just moved that folder to its corresponding location on my Dropbox and recreated the symlink, and now it's working the way it should have in the first place. So for anyone else who might have this issue, just manually create a folder along the SWTOR settings path (C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings) named "Keybindings" (where your "GUIProfiles" folder is), and that should fix the problem. It doesn't really make sense why it was an issue in the first place, but there you go.
  5. 14 hours later - no response to my ticket. Ugh, Bioware. Seriousy - ugh times a billion!
  6. Thanks for the info. Yeah that is exactly what I'm doing, but it is not working at all - even after restarting the game. I have opened a ticket in game.
  7. Save them how? Did you read my initial post detailing how I have tried to do that, and none of the buttons are responding? Exactly how is this supposed to work? For me, none of the buttons are working at all while every other aspect of the same seems to be functioning normally. This makes no sense.
  8. I'm trying to import my keybindings to the new level 60 I created. So I go to one of my previously existing characters, open up preferences, and go to the "keybinding import/export" tab. Everything that I click on does nothing. First of all, there are absolutely no freaking instructions on how to use the feature at all, but it appears to be easy to figure out. However, unfortunately, none of the buttons on the window seem to do anything. We have a big rectangle labeled "key presets", where I suppose all your saved files should show up. Beneath that is a box I discovered I can type in, and at the end of that box is a button that kind of looks like an old 3.5 floppy disk. So I type the word "keys" in that box and click the disk button, but nothing happens. So I try clicking "apply". Nothing. I click "OK" and the window closes. I go back in and there's nothing in the "key presets" window. The word "keys" is still in the box where I typed it. I log into another character, and the same thing is happening there. How in the holy F is this feature supposed to work?!
  9. Sorry to res this thread, but YES please fix the fading issue with the banner or let us turn it off ourselves. This is so annoying!
  10. Just want to add that I am seeing all the above as well. The UI showing that 0 items are craftable when you in fact that all the necessary mats, until you actually initiate the crafting anyway, is especially annoying.
  11. I second this, but I want to take it a step further. I want the game to have an interface that will show me an accounting of the credits that each character in my legacy has, with a grand total for the entire legacy displayed as well. It would also be great if it would track the source of my income, as well as on what I spend the credits. Basically, the functionality of the "Audior" WoW mod is what I'd like to see. Thanks!
  12. Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I totally agree with this idea. Right now the RE system is frustrating, not to mention less than zero fun. Indeed - it is anti-fun.
  13. I wish there was a "like" button to press here. This is great news indeed.
  14. The cool downs worked fine for me during beta, and the initial launch of the game. Then when they were changed prior to this patch, I wasn't a fan of that but I learned how to deal with it. With this one I don't have any problem with it at all. I definitely don't have a problem with the flashing, although I feel for those who do. It seems clear to me what is on cool down and what is not. I also think it's a matter of after playing for awhile, I kind of get used to the general length of the cool downs of each ability I use frequently, and just occasionally refer to the UI for confirmation of that. UI customization is desperately needed in this game, regardless. I also wish they would allow us to pick which style of cool downs to use, as I don't really want it to change yet again. It works just fine for me as is.
  15. /signed How in the world is this not in the game to begin with? I paid a ton of creds to change Kira's hair with customization 6, and then they give me this "Kira's Folded Hat" that makes her look like some goofball Time Lord reject that covers up her entire head. Whoever designed this hat needs to be fired. Right now. Ok, maybe that's going overboard? Why don't they just give me a "Kira's Nun Outfit" to match it while they're at it. Seriously - this hat is rancid. I wish I could burn this thing in game and watch it turn to ashes....
  16. Agreed - it's particularly ridiculous that items do not auto stack when you put them in the cargo hold.
  17. You're missing the entire point. We're talking about the problem with guild placement that has caused this issue. We're not coming from a place of individuality here. We are guilds who participated in the pre-launch guild program to have our guild pre-created, and for everyone to already be a member from the get go. Now what we're being told is, essentially, "Hey - forget about that and start everything all over again. Everyone re-roll all their mains and alts, create the guild yourself, and manually invite everyone in as if the pre-launch guild program didn't exist at all. Thanks!" Ok, yeah, that would allow us to play as a guild eventually, but it doesn't address the problem, or afford a preferable solution. It also doesn't address the fact that it should not have been this way to begin with! Bioware failed - they created too many guilds on too few servers. That is what has caused this issue which has been ongoing since day one of early access! I don't understand the point of your post. As if you think you're being helpful by pointing out, "Uh - hey dude it's raining. Why don't you have an umbrella?" You're like Forrest Gump, who says to Lt. Dan: "But Lt. Dan - you ain't got no legs." My response to your post: "Uh, yes, Forrest, I know that!" Thanks, but your post, and the countless others who have posted similar ones, helps zero. Less than zero, if I'm being honest....
  18. Does anyone remember the 1st season South Park episode where the kids wanted their pet Elephant to make love to the pig? There is a scene in that episode where the kids are at the bus stop with the Elephant because Kyle wants to take it to school for show and tell. The bus driver says the elephant can't get on the bus, and will have to take the "short" bus. The camera quickly pans over and you see utter lunacy and chaos going on in the "short" bus. Whenever someone does or says something that I consider less than smart, I always think of them being a member of that "short" bus in that episode. I can picture them there - enveloped in their own world of chaos where I'm sure the things they do make sense to them, but unfortunately to no one else. This is a perfect example of such a situation. This whole guild deployment situation seems to have been planned, and executed, by a group of folks who live on the "short" bus in that episode of South Park. I refuse to believe that someone did not see this coming. They had to have known this would happen, and what they should do to stop it from happening, and yet did nothing to make this situation not occur - or be less of an issue than it is. Observing other MMO launches? Beta weekends? From where I stand nothing was learned by the devs from those "observations". Nothing. At all. There is no excuse for the queue situation we're in now. More servers should have been put up before early access started, and fewer guilds deployed on each. There is no way they didn't know this was going to happen. I refuse to believe it, and I am extremely annoyed and disappointed. That is all. Oh, and one more thing. Don't you remember that song by Loverboy? Pig and Elephant DNA just won't splice!
  19. I didn't pick my server - my guild was placed there. Now the server remains full almost non-stop. If the queue doesn't go away, I want my entire guild moved to a low-pop server - not just me. We're not kids. We have jobs, spouses, children, and less than endless time to play. We *shouldn't* have to re-roll to play. Personally, I've been lucky and have been able to play, but the rest of my guild has barely been able to log in at all. We've been waiting to play together, as a guild, for many months now. Bioware was supposed to have learned from previous MMOs, and from beta, but I don't see how any of that has made this a more positive experience. It really seems to me, and this may be my flawed perception, but it seems like they moved more guilds to the servers than they knew they had the capacity to handle. It at least seems that way on Shadow Hand, because it was full from the beginning of Early Access. I think they established too many guilds on too few servers, and that sucks all the ***** in the universe - twice! They had more than a rough idea what their population needs were going to be. I mean - seriously - this is rancid. We spent months staring at our guild on the web site. We just want the play experience we've been anticipating to come to fruition. We want to be able to log in the server, be pre-joined to that guild with our first characters, and be able to play as a guild from the get go without all these ridiculous queues. I do not believe that they didn't know that any given server was over pop cap, or ridiculously close to it, at the start just from guild members alone. Every customer is the Emperor of every business, and I am most displeased with Bioware's apparent lack of progress. And I am NOT as merciful as Vader. Resolve this, or it WILL negatively affect the business. That is the bottom line. Two days, and your grace period expires - as does mine.
  20. Wow - the sense of entitlement that a lot of the community has over this game is astounding to me. I pre-ordered, and registered my code, on 8/6 and I'm not in early access yet. I honestly didn't really expect to be - although I am disappointed that I'm not in as well as we all are. However, I'm just happy I will get in tomorrow or the next day. It seems to me, though, that a great deal of the community here is populated with clones of Veruca Salt. (The character from Willy Wonka - not the band lol.) You don't care how - you want it now? Seriously - the lot of you just needs to settle down. You will get to play when it is your time to play. Until then...what did you do with yourself on this day last week? How about doing that instead of continuing this embarrassing display of nonsense. That would be great! Thanks in advance....
