  1. I've been playing this game since Beta, had this new computer for about a year and suddenly getting the C7 Error that something isn't compatible. I updated all Windows updates. I have done a clean install of my nvidia drivers and rolled it back one driver after having the problem. Nothing seems to work. I have linked to my DxDiag below. DxDiag Anyone have any ideas?
  2. This is probably one of the most stupid things you have done. I had to change my bank accounts and therefore my account number and card are different. So my subscription must have ran out this week. I try to log-in to swtor (even though I've been a paying member the WHOLE time) and now my log-in doesn't even work so I can just easily update my payment methods? It seems to log my into swtor (because it show my name in the upper right part of the page, but anytime I try to check My Account or buy anything it wants me to log in again and it fails. You really don't want my subscription that much? I go to the store. Pick my subscription I want and it wants me to log-in, but log-in always fails in this method. I try to call-in and its busy. I mean really? ***.
  3. Well this is one of the dumbest things I have read in a long time. I have seen the bug (one of the members of a system made group told the group to stay in a spot and he ran up, ran back and boss died apparently)...so to even suggest that I as a group member could have been banned for him doing that is just ridiculous. Don't try to police things that innocent people can be blamed for. I'm glad that there has apparently been more harsh penalties for things that have been going on, but let's not get crazy here. Make things, test things, test things, test things and fix things....lastly, treat your paying customers with respect.
  4. Yeah, fully augmented 174 is just garbage compared to pve blues 178...and I think 190 gear is the cap for using bolster now. They should really consider a turn-in at 50% value or something at the very least. I know most pvpers will just say, " its easy to grind comms now" but the more you piss people off with wasting their time the less they que...and the more YOU end up waiting for ques. Hell, here is one better. Make you free 60 level toon...it comes with blue 188 legacy bound gear....it's better than your fully augmented top tier pvp gear before 4.0. I mean that is just ROFL.
  5. Kind of a dumb post when you see how many MASSIVE HEALS were in that wz tbh.
  6. In mid level pvp now I jump on my 62ish PVP geared toon...that formally had nice PVP gear and BOOM...my gear is garbage compared to some guy that never PVPd in his life. Awesome! Is there some like "Return my gear for some reduced price" type vendor? Sure your expertise is same...but Mastery is bolstered to nearly 1000pts lower than garbage looted gear. WhydePhook do I keep gearing up?LOL
  7. BOLSTER FROM TERMINAL ON FLEET Mastery 3502 Endurance 3351 Power 1237 Expertise 476 ONCE INSIDE WZ Mastery 4808 Endurance 4774 Power 1645 Expertise 1936 I'm going to pop into some WZs carrying some different level gears to try and figure out whats the new gear level cap for the best Bolster I guess...since the terminal is kind of sheeeet.
  8. This is seriously ridiculous. So, if you haven't done the line of quests you are basically COMPLETELY wasting your early access. If you level up to 56 somewhere you can't que for it, you can't SOLO it with this lag...i even dropped it and went Tactical and que'd...got a group, went in and still laggy. Total waste. I think your update has good content, but I want my money back for realz.
  9. Not sure we could handle some intermediate or 3rd tier like 55-59 or something...ques can be slow at times even now, if we add another tier it would get worse imho. Maybe if we also go the super-mega servers it would help, but until then I'm not sure more tiers will work well.
  10. Always thought it cool to pick out Color Crystal for different classes and realized my Sage never showed his lol...at least you can save money on the Crystal...don't need to waste money on rare colors LOL.
  11. TBH, reading through the responses I think they have actually proven your point or answered your way of leaning away from it. I personally built my first toon (back in fairly early Beta) as a healer Sage and loved it, but have since then leveled up multiple 55s on several servers (on the two servers I play on I have one of each healer). With all the changes made to the healer classes I hate healing on my Sage the most. The bottom line for me is that I am constantly battling my own Force more than, or equally to, healing people. It's just a HUGE part of the Sage healing right now...it definitely wasn't always that way. It's just too much of a hassle. The class needs to be looked at IMHO. Most of the other classes have escape routes, etc that are similar or equal to ours, but those classes also have a way of rebuilding their "action" type bar quickly or with a higher regen rate...ours can punish you easily for use. I'm sure people will post about "your just doing it wrong" etc, but admitting that the play style basically revolves around managing your Force proves the point I believe. I got tired of it and play another healing class when I want to heal.
  12. I think that is the key here...Resolve isn't bad, but when you combine all the different things that seem to alter your movement and/or ability to do anything useful then to me it should affect Resolve as well. It seems like in most WZs you are walking in quicksand and/or totally CC'd most of the time. Some of it needs to be minimized to let more people enjoy the fluidity of just fighting.
  13. LOL. This is 100% accurate. Not only is it narrow minded, but it's the kind of comment that when Devs take to heart eventually lets us all lose subs and games struggle. I mean when you start excluding players that aren't like your or like to play the same type of classes as you get ready for some rocky times.
  14. If at any point we find that healers or classes that can choose between healing or dps specs are useless in pvp, than I would say we have other issues in the game. The normal progression in games is to go more levels, more dps, more damage type trinkets, etc...which to me means you eventually hits a point where healers (or non-immediate spike dps classes) are left behind until a tweak happens. It's fairly common to see that in some of the posts you are probably just dealing with a poor skilled team vs a highly functioning team, but DPS focus spike in a 4-man match can be brutal. The few PUG games I tried on my healer made me want to shelf that toon for good. PUG will almost always be worst or the worst, but it really shows its colors when everything is dwindled down to 4 vs 4 and its OBVIOUS who the target should be.
  15. Well put. All together and easy explanation and a knock against the Test Center. I haven't seen an MMO that has quite figured out how to implement an accurate Test Center yet. They claim they test in-house also, but glaring problems in every MMO I have played get through. I know it can never be 100%, but this game it would be obvious if you just tracked how many were on and where they were...you would know some of these things barely got touched.
  16. All MMO's add damage, add damage, add damage. Having a good healing balance is needed to make fights anything more than instantaneous kills. Everyone is so use to the team full of MonkeySmashing jedi's and instant deaths to their opponents, that now you see a good engaging fight your ADHD kicks in.
  17. I think content and loot drops are a huge reason for subs dropping. Not only are there some glaring issues with continually buffing classes (ie dps gets very large and unhealable, making healers near to useless especially in pvp). If you are suggesting continually buffing classes, that has to be in defense or armor as well or the spike in dps just gets out of hand and players at lower gear levels feel that pain more than anyone. To me the biggest issue is content. There is absolutely no reason to leave the fleet much anymore. People run Dailies/Weeklies, but its just one grind left to do. If you aren't in a big guild you can only PUG so many Flashpoints and WZs before you start to go mad because its just really a clusterphook. I think you have to give people a reason to venture out to planets again. Some of this new cartel system should be out in the real world as very rare drops. I know the system is capable of it as a lower level toon of mine received a XP bonues consumable as a class reward or something in the first couple of days of Cartel going live. This not only gives people a reason to venture out, but also presents PVPers with the opportunity for Open World pvp...which is hard to find in most places. Section X gives us a bit of it now and I don't see many guilds having fun with it...even on a PVP server, but it's nice to see it present anyway. Lastly, I think the WZ system needs some additions to giving the majority of the players the ability to have more fun without giving away the grinded out War Hero gear level. We need some more levels of ranks. We could use valor as the basis. and set up pug wzs by valor rank. If you que for lower ranks you get penalized by losing valor. Losing too much valor makes you lose the ability to use some of your gear. It's just needed for keeping people that PUG wz's interested...and yes the majority of people are PUGGING...so the system needs to be geared and focused on that majority.

    7k smash,...intended?

Large overall damage isn't necessarily game breaking because it may be AOE and at a level that can be healed through. Some of the spike damage is of legitimate concern, but I still don't find them game breaking either. I just find that the basic rollface player chooses it and then the WZs are filled with them. When facing a full team of players that can jump to you when trying to knockback or escape and (if there are 2-3 of them) destroy you easily without very good gear, then I think something needs tweaking. I don't think they need that much of a change, but generally if you see too many of profession X in WZs then there is probably an issue.

    Pub's on POT5

So you probably have a fairly full guild Imp side and are pugging on Reb side? Pugs are horrible on every server tbh...both sides. You just probably get a bit more jumpysmashy-rollface jedis on the Imperial side I guess.

    7k smash,...intended?

lol...and because everyone's get out of jail free card is on the same cd as the smash...which is what, up every time you jump pretty much?
  21. There are some good points in here about how this system works...some are right and some are a bit off, but the overall point is that there are people very unsatisfied with the system of pvp. While one person points out that the Bolster system works (because if your gear is lower than your level, etc then you can get a bite, etc), the real point is that they have many skill level boosts in the tree and more "options" available to them at higher levels. Now that may not be so bad in what is mostly PUG groups in PVP at the lower levels, but the "49ers" group mentality, where groups are totally gearing out their 49 level toon and quitting wzs to keep it there is not a new phenomenon. I am just hearing a lot more of it. I play on a few servers and am in a few vents and trust me...a lot of people are doing it. I personally don't think its the end of the world and don't think the system is that far off, but like I said earlier...it just points to an unsatisfied player to me. I think PVP WZs should be a valor based system. If you que for lower valor wzs you get dinged valor and can end up losing the ability to wear some of your gear (thats for 50s and lower). At some levels you can make the spread of valor larger, but I think it would help with some of the Ranked type teams farming what is mostly pugs and some of the lowbie pvp going back to normal. It's a system that would need tweaks, but I think well worth saving pvp for the average player.
  22. Repub side is easy. With a fairly decently geared companion you can do everything but the Heroic 4 easily and in minutes. Imperial side is bad and buggy. Not only does it take longer to do the way its laid out, but there are a few missions on there that take me longer to do than the WHOLE Repub side alone. The Air Strike codes that drop off Marksman (sometimes) when there are only 4 marksman or something in the one building where all Imperials are crawling and the respawn timer is long...bleh. I quit running these on the second day. The Chained Leaders in the small outside prisons...never worked for me once. Seems like it wasn't tested at all tbh. I do like playing the Repub side of it and find groups for the Heroic 4 fairly easy, but I don't think I'll run the Imp side again until it changes or is fixed.
  23. Turning off XP and ganking in lowbie PVP is just like Ranked War Hero teams rolling PUGS...the fix for these things is not to turn off XP or alter the gear. The answer is to use Valor ranking for WZs. Make a few more tiers of WZs based on valor rank. If you que for lower ranked WZs you get a loss in Valor which would eventually make you lose the ability to equip certain levels of gear. To me this is really the only answer to this mess. If you add more gear or tweak more gear you are just adding to the crap pile we have atm. If you continuously allow ranked teams to play down (usually because there aren't enough ranked teams to play) then you will keep seeing people leave and not ride it out. This is why people like the lowbie pvp, because in reality the Bolster is fairly effective in making it not a total wipeout in a pug group...which lets face it...most people are PUGGING in these wzs, so make PUGs more enjoyable by leveling the playing field a bit more or giving negative results to the people that like to beat people with lesser gear. If you argue that "player X on my team has less valor so I can't play with him now" well, its the same argument for most players/subs in this game when they are faced with fighting for gear against people that have nearly twice the endurance, boosted damage/defense and a organized team to boot. Valor was established as a marker for pvp. USE IT.
  24. Bottom line is this: This game has too many CC's and this does nothing about that. It actually just allows you to be vulnerable to CC's longer (or giving you less Resolve than before). I like the idea of controlling combat if played smart, but frustrating players just trying to pvp is something you aren't measuring in your excel sheets. It's a BAD solution to an overall issue that prevents good fluid pvp. The conal Overload change is another bad decision. To make a Sage/Sorc now have to actually do more to use one of its CC's is just bad. It's like giving them one thing and taking away another...The players they are usually knocking back can jump back to them already, this just gave them less ways to knock them back. AND why in the world is the Light, Medium, Heavy armor not being looked at? Why would anyone choose a Light armor toon in this game atm? You get no extra damage, no extra speed? Whats the reasoning behind the armors? Bleh, this announcement...while its exciting to see ANY changes being made...is just making it easier to do something else.
