If I got a EU game time card would it work if I play on US servers?

So game card time would still fine?

I don't sub by doing the recurring sub fee since I'm able to get game time cards for a little cheaper else where. Am I still considered a sub and would I get the perks of the galactic strong hold on the 16th (or what ever day it is)?
