  1. Focus trooper first. Requires more healing but neutralizes bad mechanic.
  2. I gave 50 million credits to my guild, plus all of my grade 11 mats. So no, you cannot have my stuff. I retained 50 million credits in case a miracle happens. Given the brewing discussion on religion, maybe a miracle will happen!
  3. Last day of sub. The game is dead to me.
  4. Precision mechanic is hinky. Give Precision some damage as well as extend it's duration by 2 seconds. Master strike feels considerably underpowered, give it some more front end damage. Resource bounces around like a yo-yo and can take some time to ramp up. Give some additional resource building to Force Leap. Jumping into combat at start but with no resource available is pretty boring. Sentinel could use another ranged attack like Twin Saber Throw or a reduced CD on Force Leap. Guided by the Force needs to be fixed. Remove the 50% loss in HP after it wears off. Do other classes have this penalty for their bubbles? Could give Sentinel another remove stun CD for PvP. Clashing Blasts continues to highlight when it's on cooldown. Make the highlight only show when it's OFF cooldown.
  5. I don't care one way or the other on the slot machine. I really don't. However, it wasn't handled well by BW or the player base. Players have already articulated several responses. Seems like something should be done by BW in response to the negativity. There was a message to the player base prior to the nerf that basically said it's working as expected, but they'd take a look at it. My guess is there was a lot of positive cash flow at that time to get one. Yes, it was a mistake to release it in its original form, yes it was premature to say it was working as expected; and yes it was a mistake to nerf it so drastically without better communication. Players also made mistakes like spending real cash on hypercrates thinking they'd get one (it's RNG based), not being careful about the BW wording ("working as expected, but we'll look at"), and abusing the heck out of it in the early release. I know the forums represent a small segment of the population, the ardent supporters, the folks wanting to learn more about how to play the game, and the SW fans. However, we're also paying subs, buying CC and such. We may or may not be a representative cross section of the player base. That doesn't matter. The amount of complaining (at one point it was the ONLY topic on page 1 that wasn't stickied) warrants a response for customer relations. Full disclosure: I have a CCSM. I bought it off the GTN. I got max rep, some cc coins and quit playing it pre nerf. It wasn't fun to me and I already made nearly 100 million credits from the SOR expac so I didn't want it for profiteering. I was after the hoverchair. I've unsubbed, but not over the CCSM.
  6. They're not assertions, they're observations. I spend a lot of time on the GTN and its volume is considerably lower now than two weeks ago. There may be no correlation, but here is likely to be a strong one wrt number of peeps actively playing. Giuld observations indicate a fair number of peeps moving...
  7. I've seen a lot of people taking leaves of absence from one guild and another guild basically folded with peeps emigrating to other games. No hard numbers but some anecdotal observations on the fact that there are fewer players on. Many students have also left for school, so the game population has been reduced. You can see this reflected in the GTN, too.
  8. ^This. I think the ranged classes are much easier to level, particularly Trooper.
  9. Some of the purple enhancements do really well around that level, especially during "leveling" events like 2x or 12x xp periods. I think the 96 rating purple (was it level 27?) has good stats that can carry someone through 20 levels pretty easily. Hilts aren't too bad for coin, but the market isn't huge for them. I actually made some coin on the orange craftable lightsaber given the mats requirements (15K-20K), but the market can be slow.
  10. Give it to your guild. I've got about a week left on my sub, so I'm shuffling stuff over to the guild bank. If you don't like your guild, ship it off to peeps on your friend list.
  11. I attribute the drop to the end of the holiday break. I used to see this happen in other MMOs. Other possibilities include people migrating away from a buggy game system. The elephant in the room has gotten excellent reviews and typically has more responsiveness to beta bugs. Another possibility is that crafters got burned out and as prices bottomed out peeps slowed down or lost interest in the bear market.
  12. I've always thought that canceling a sub is the ultimate way to remove credits from the game. Good luck with your ventures!
  13. I don't read this as a slot machine thread, I read it as a thread explaining a market fluctuation based on conversion of jawa junk into grade 11 mats when the vendors came online. The OP's observations are noteworthy. I can add that after the slot machine nerf the GTN fluxed upward very quickly which indicated to me that either only a few individuals were influencing the market or a couple of mavens bought up the mats anticipating later returns. The prices for the mats seemed to have stabilized at intermediate levels, so people are still getting jawa junk somewhere...
  14. To the OP: I think your request belongs in customer service. I'd be pissed too if I spent real money on hypercrates for the slot machine.
  15. The credit sink is the difference between the 100,000 credits and the rep tokens, 52,500. The difference, 47,500 credits, is REMOVED from the game. The profit you make from the jawa junk is made from other PLAYERS. See the difference? {This was a response to MeNaCe-NZ, not Psandak.} The prices on purple items has certainly dropped on Ebon Hawk (8.5-12K for midlithes, 18K for autoimmune regs, 21-25K for circuitry, 8-12K for doonium), but most of the green mats have remained pretty steady at 1.3-2K per each, except those in biochem. The crafted items have dropped in price but there is still good profit to be made. For example, I've been selling a steady stream of relics for 125-140K each (that's 70-90K profit on each), mods for 60-100K each (profit @ 30+K each), etc. So if you're not making credits in this market, you need to rethink your strategy. Note that those relying on crits for their profit margins haven't really penetrated these markets. I've been sending my companions on gathering missions for green mats and just buying the purples.
  16. Frankly there wasn't much profit to be made in droid armor. I sold several pieces, but the market was pretty slow. Sure, it's mostly dead now, but as with all markets, you have to diversify. At least on Ebon Hawk other goods in cybertech are doing OK, but the real profit was in artificing.
  17. I suspect it will be lost. You should set up an alt as the guild leader. Then you can switch your mains to other guilds. That way the stronghold will remain.
  18. I agree with the OP. I've tried Korriban several times now and pugs just can't get past the second boss. The disparity in difficulty between FP (Rishi) and HMs (tython which was bugged and Korriban which overwhelms most healers) doesn't teach good skills. Add to this that the rewards are pretty blaise, and well there's no reason to run them. Believe it or not, I enjoy running pugs, it used to be fun. I'm a pretty experienced player (7 years in WoW, raiding for 4 years), but probably average in my skill set. I should be able to clear the 60s, but I've pretty much given up on them, and this has been a disappoint to me.
  19. Increase the failure rate (loss rate) to 40 or 50% per coin = credit sink. Problem solved.
  20. ^This. If a company releases an expansion for Christmas sales, then they should support that broken expansion through the holidays. I know plenty of us worked through holidays. This exploit was known shortly after release yet it's taken a month to fix. Most retailers have a warranty or period for return. I'd love to return my expac for a refund but it's no doubt too late for that. I've canceled my sub. That's my ban hammer.
  21. This sums up a lot for me, too. I canceled my sub this week, but still have a month left on it. I'll just donate my stuff to the great guild I've been in as they still like the game. So the rest of you peeps can't "has" my stuff. I'd love to see 12x xp instituted again as I'd enjoy seeing the story lines before my sub expires, but they're not compelling enough for me to slog through the same old side quests on more toons.
  22. The class stories in SoR were rather disappointing. They were basically do this set of 2-3 very minor side quests that make you an errand boy, then go back to the SoR story line. I was also disappointed in how several of the main quests on Yavin became dailies. They weren't very good quests and they were rather dull. I guess that defines a daily quest.
  23. Sort by price, high to low, scroll down until you see a large price break, purchase at the break if so desired. Also do a quick check on list sorted low to high as you can sometimes find a low priced gem.
  24. Not quite right on this boss. As a DPS if I'm blowing my defensive CDs and popping heals to stay alive, then I'm not DPSing. I've seen that happen several times. Healer gets overwhelmed, everyone goes into survival mode, DPS drops, wipe.
  25. Check GTN for pricing. Some of these vehicles were selling below their manufacturing cost. Otherwise don't forget to purchase some low cost missions. These can make it much less expensive to craft a vehicle in the end.
