  1. ^^ this... whether it be 10,15 or maybe more.. both healing and damage should be reduced a little. Sent/mara gets caught in a 4s stun without a dcd up, or cc break, you are in trouble, doesn't matter how many people are hitting you. Waiting for resolve to fill up with this class means you are dead. If you somehow, through a miracle do survive that long, and break cc... rooted
  2. I would like to know the logic behind how the doors work. If we didn't have doors I don't think anyone would cap the objectives. But there are times where it sure feels like it favors one side.
  3. Paying money for a game that's broke and expecting people not to complain is pretty silly.... If the dev's listened to complaints and looked into these issues, we might see more tweaks and small fixes more often. The only reason you can make a topic like this and "be right" is because they aren't tweaking and fixing issues with the game and therefore we are stuck with it like it is, or we move on. It's pretty obvious already.... The forums are here for people to talk/discuss/complain/whatever they want inside the rules that are laid down, who are you to try and regulate what people can do here? I have an idea.. if you don't like what people are talking about on the forum, don't spend your time here....
  4. No... where they fail is to make tweaks more often to fix the OP things players find/figure out they didn't foresee. It will never be balanced unless we make every class the same (not good). But they could perform small tweaks much more often and keep things from getting so out of hand. Nobody expects them to get it perfect when big changes are made, but it's completely pathetic that small fixes aren't implemented more often. Oh and if anyone thinks snipers suck, play melee against one. Things have counters, and they counter melee harder than anything else in the game.
  5. Or just plain dead in 4s And some classes don't really have a stun... they have a disorient or another ability that can be broken on damage, or like for my sentinel, a channeled stun that doesn't let you lay out big damage unless you have your team to help (which is a good thing, since this is after all, a team game). But classes with multiple stuns that aren't broken by damage, and that don't have to be channeled make resolve and/or the high CD on the cc break useless.
  6. Pure DPS classes should always do more dps than hybrid classes that can off heal. Period.... facing a class that can equal or out dps you while doing some decent healing is ridiculous.
  7. Sent's are squishy and watchman is still a joke in pvp. By the time you setup damage you are dead. And overall, resolve is a joke and needs to be re-worked. CC is out of control
  8. I don't remember the last time I played a wz with a full team. Last night we started one 3 players short, they left before it even started. Quite often start arenas with less than a full team. I figured this was normal. Republic loses 9 out of 10 anyway...
  9. Yea.. I get this one over and over and over as well. Getting very old..... (Bastion)
  10. Warzones are something you can just join with random people, and potentially work well enough together to win. Arenas on the other hand are really mean't to be que'd with a team you created... even if you just pugged something together, at least you have the option of the comp you want, and setting up communication before hand (skype etc.) which is really 100x more important for actually winning arenas. I love both types of play, but if I'm que'ing solo, I really don't want to play arena. Separating these que's is the only thing that makes sense, they are two very different activities.
  11. dead long before a full resolve bar....
  12. Couple ideas.... DR something!!! I would say just reduce the amount of CC in the game. It wouldn't hurt, some classes just have too much.. but it still wouldn't fix getting cross CC'd forever. I think things should DR, or the resolve bar should fill up faster. Or at the minimum put the break on a 1 min CD. WoW is revamping for WoD and removing a lot of CC...because it was out of control in WoW... too much and the game isn't fun for anyone. Just enough to cross CC and land a kill is skillful. There is definitely a tricky balance. But the resolve system plain and simply sucks.
  13. With the state of some other classes in the game, I don't think it's fair to say that Sent/Maur are in a "great" place as some have stated in multiple threads I see. Their survivability sucks even with multiple def cds. If you can root one, and pew pew him you win. The bleed spec is fun, it's what I play mostly but the ramp up time is not the most pvp friendly kind of spec. It uses a lot of focus and honestly the dots don't really hit that hard. The changes did help however so I'm glad for that because it's a fun spec to play... but they need something. I second the force camo root break being standard.
  14. Not exactly related, but all I have noticed is that when I use stealth on my sentinel, 3 out of 5 times I am seen and attacked from distance, even if I don't have any dots on me. Just started happening since 2.8 dropped. Not a fun time for me.
  15. I understand that. It took me almost 2 years of playing wow to get a real grasp on pvp (made duelist last season). So I understand pvp, and mmo's... and I also realize I don't have every class figured out in swtor. I have been seeing so many people talking about hacking though so it got me wondering/little paranoid, is the game really setup to where you can be killed in 3 seconds with 70% worth of damage mitigation defensive cd's up, or why are there classes that can't be stunned, rooted, or slowed... My last question about snipers is definitely a l2p issue, I won't deny that, that's why I asked for advice... but some of these other issues strike me more as either poor design, or possible hacking.. or maybe something else indeed... which is why I'm here. But if you guys are saying there really isn't much hacking going on.. that's a good thing. I'm glad to hear that. I also know there will never be actual balance in this game (or any other mmo) unless you make every class the same... and nobody wants that, but it seems there are blatant issues that could be fixed to bring things to a better place. Again I'm newish to swtor so I'm not going to go on a rant about all that just yet. From what I gather about the current state of the game I just need to finished leveling my Guardian
