  1. We run HM TFB and NiM EC, or should I say we would be, if we weren't having so much trouble finding people who can commit to two nights. Tuesdays either 8 or 11 EST and wednesdays, the same. We've got > --- < that close to the dread guard the last time we ran properly before we lost our old 2 back in early novemeber, and since then we've geared an alt healer to fill the hole and have been pugging, to no success. So basically, time to try the forums. The SWTOR reddit mods suck and don't like raid team recruitment posts (And they wonder why they aren't popular) so yeah, here I am. Hopefully you need me (A raid team) as much as I need you. (Raiders.) Please? We have a vent, and a website, and everything. oh, and someone who makes stims for the group. Thats nice.
  2. Confrimed, just fyi. http://www.facebook.com/starwarstheoldrepublic?ref=stream
  3. Ding Ding Ding. Kephess was the easiest boss to learn of HM EC. Tricky mechanics, but not too many of them. It's a one screw up and you're done sort of boss (Wooo taunt timing!) We already know how to one shot every boss in the instance when it is performing as expected, this added mechanic is a waste of our time knowing that it couldn't be normal. Would rather bang our heads against TFB HM than waste time wiping on kephess.
  4. Buff casts every 6 seconds, and has a .5s channel Buff adds 12% damage, 12% mittigation Buff stacks LINEARLY Tanks have an 8-12s timer on their interrupt typically as far as I am aware (IANATank, I am a Sentinel) That is BAD. If you split DPS, you have a greater chance of managing the debuff BUT you have a greater chance of getting wiped out by the damn barrage This really is just a poor, poor choice on the part of the devs. Anyone know if this was on the PTS?
  5. Well, that was a rage quit for a group that previous had this on farm. Who decided to green light this decision? It's mentally deranged. That is INSANE.
  6. Participating? You've COMPLETELY wasted the time of the players who use lightsabers/vibroblades with this event... The last event was useful for everyone, this one just leaves a bad taste in my mouth and honestly p***** me off...
  7. I liked my level 14 matrix cube, so this is an emphatic HELL NO to your suggestion. That's not even a fix, you don't even know why the are disappearing, it likely has nothing to do with the shards, or any of that!
  8. Two shot this guy tonight. Two of our DPS were half asleep during the first attempt. No bugs. Last week we had to heal through the turrets, and we still one shot it. Needless to say, I've never heard of that one before.
  9. Use force stasis as your opening crush instead of Exhaustion. It has a longer CD and gives you some bonus focus. Other than that, yep, that's it in an instant. PS: Keep awe on one of your hotbars where you have easy access. Mass target AOE was the only good thing about my focus build, it wasn't very punchy single target.
  10. Not hard to play, hard to play well. Now focus, THAT was easy. Well, except for the fact that guarded by the force has just taken half your health and thrown it out the window Saber ward and rebuke are great additives though if you need a little healing and the healer is busy, however.
  11. Damage type and attack type are two entirely seperate things. This becomes quickly evident playing a consular/sorcerer I totally forget the names of the skills, but it's certainly not a regular move. PS: White flytext = Normal damage, Yellow flytext = Force/Tech/Whatever damage, As far as I've been able to tell.
  12. http://i.imgur.com/Pbmx3.jpg Slash crits make me happy. That's a wicked damage spec, and the slash crits make a lot of damage waiting for Cauterize to refresh. Very utility, Very squish for AOE's. I respec'd in to 7/3 tonight for HM T+Z... Holy crap what a difference. Way less output but I didn't die afterwards (Still learning that fight <_< ) Probably going to try 3 points in to defensive forms and drop the swelling winds talent when I respec, see what happens.
  13. 322HPS tonight covering 4 people (the DPS group, including another sentinel) I can say several times that well timed zen burns have kept the healers free to focus on the tanks in our NiM KP run. 20% of a players health in about 6s is NO small number. There were several close calls that we worked through, and a few BRez's where the bonus heals made a big difference.
  14. There is a caster inside the shield bubble that drops that lightning shield on the melee group if the aggro is too much on the melee. This can be avoided with threat drops or interrupts. We choose the latter as to guarantee safety. 3 one shots later, we know it works.
  15. Not likely. Sounds like bad luck to me. It's not like the old raids are challenging... Our second attempt as a group we 1h20m KP NiM (Of course, no title, YAY! -_- )
  16. Well that's damned annoying. I don't think I could be more mad at bioware for this. With the amount of bugs in the current ops for a large number of players (In my group, 4 of 8 typically don't get AOE affects on the bosses) I think taking this out in the patch was really not a smart move. While it does encourage the avoidance of repair bills which was probably unintended (And rightfully so) it was a way for groups who otherwise have no issues (We've one shot every boss in EC previously) the chance to avoid a costly wipe when it truly isn't our fault, like the one time Toth decided he would just chill until 10% then freak the hell out. I can't be the only one annoyed by this, and I hope you reconsider and put it back in with the next patch, OR fix the VFX issue, whatever it might be (I know, easier said than done, I'm not trying to degrade the work you're doing) I've watched the game grow since beta, pre launch, and 1.1, and it's been a fantastic trip. This is certainly not one of those OMG FIX THIS OR IM UNSUBBING threads, we see enough of those in a day that I'm sure there would be less than a million subs left Just felt like I should air a concern, that even if this was unintended and by all rights a "bug" that it should certainly have been left in if only to aid players losing money to other bugs. Now, if this was a stand in fix for KP reset bugs, you can pretty much disregard this, but that's not the feeling I'm getting.
  17. MELEE OFF TANKING! Only issue we had was a lag spike causing both of us to completely miss the balls o' doom (We had been flawless up until) causing our Shadow to get dropped instantly. No time for him to even pop defensives once the lagg cleared up. I told the other sentinel to IMMEDIATELY drop threat, uber'd to pick up aggro, and busted out both my DC's and kept guarded for a last minute save my ***. Totally worked. Dropped stormcaller first (They do NOT auto enrage when you do this, fun fact if you didn't know) because the melee dps were totally OTB (I was about 1400 that fight, other guy was probably 1200ish? ) and we basically all stacked on firebrand, dropped alternating AOE heals through the next missile phase while our ranged and healers stayed shielded and just chilled with the ads. INCREDIBLY easy to heal through once the lightning shields are out of the way. That was fun.
  18. Really fun strategy for story mode for my group (And we one shot it with this new random attempt) DPS SWAPPING! We would start off on zorn, then when toth leaped (It is timed as well as percentiled) we passed off to toth due to fearful, and would do that the entire time (the three melee. The one ranged was on Zorn the entire time) It was actually ludicrously easy compared to the normal strats we attempted before. We just kited zorn around for his last 15% and the enrage was easy to deal with.
  19. No no no no. One of the Ads that spawns drops the shields, and is SUPPOSED to drop them on the tank. If the DPS has enough passive aggro, the first one falls on your face. You need to interrupt (Whether it be with a leap to get to the ad, or a kick/snare) the cast bar you'll see above the left (Atleast, it was left for myself every time) ad or it'll have a chance of screwing you. We wiped to this 6 times before I noticed it. Didn't happen again.
  20. Uhhhh nope. Ran this wednesday evening, one shot it, no turret respawn, and I hit the button the INSTANT we crossed the field. Tower tank was WAY out. (Hell, last week he hit a mine on the way in somehow. that was funny. We 7 man'd the boss. )
  21. It did not. We were working towards a 2hr NM run this evening (Our first attempt at it since 1.2, been doing denova mostly. ) and we got screwed by G4-B3 and gave up and just HM'd it to clear. We were about 30m invested in to the op by G4 (WAY ahead of time, it was nice. ) and I warned everyone we were probably screwed, and yup, screwed.
  22. I want to say it dropped for me off the trash on Voss, but I don't quite remember, it was a loooong time ago.
  23. Or a guardian that knows how to stay at range. Or a gunslinger/smuggler with some well timed snares. Or.... You can beat anything with the right strat.
