  1. Any form of aoe is already weak on AP and from my testing all 3 aoe abilities have a similar damage output. I am just asking for Thermal detonator to provide aoe damage like shatter slug while the retaining the main damage for the focused attacked mob to stay the same for role playing reasons. A free shatter slug damage ( applied only to non direct attacked mobs ) every 15 seconds will not make not make AP op.
  2. I finally got Fanged God form to see how carnage compares to Fury/Anni. While my end dps is 20k or a bit higher for both Fury\Anni carnage was floating near 18k and even dipping to 17.5k from time to time. That is quite a nasty gap. This was on a 3.25 mil dummy.
  3. For daily heroics: Nothing beats Pyrotech. I love how I can gather 15 or more mobs in tattooing heroics and melt them.The high aoe damage and carbon stun results in everything being killed before Kontor overload is finished.
  4. My experience so far with unranked pvp is whichever team has the most operatives wins.
  5. Currently TD is a single target ability. For role playing reasons can you please give it aoe damage or maybe even bake shatter slug into it? You are throwing a bomb after all.
  6. I am sure powertech is in the top 3 dps spot if not #1. Advanced prototype being better in single target and pvp while pyrotech becomes the leader in the slightest hint of taking damage or aoe situations.
  7. Had my real 1v1 encounter with the operatives today on my AP PT, couldn’t kill him no matter what I did. Also the stun followed by the heal while eating away chunks from my health was shocking tbo. I can understand that you may be good at survival, healing or dps and maybe at two things......but not everything!

There are a few things you can do on the dummy that you cannot use in real encounters like how some Annihilation Marauders gets an unlimited buff or some sort , your dps meters from bosses should matter. Dummy parsing is a tool that is for YOU to compare rotations and equipment ( e.g. alacrity vs critical enhancements ) Also do not forget the items that are sold next to the dummy to apply armor debuff and limit your dummy’s health.
  9. This is exciting, I’m hoping that VR AP will be the go-to single target dps spec now.
  10. With how bad PT’s survive at pvp, if anything we need even more dps buffs for them.
  11. I am all for redistribution of damage if it will make deception competitive in pve parses.
  12. Returning to Swtor after Warcraft, I find the game GREAT! The story is very well written, gearing is easy and fast which makes you do harder ops for the challenge, the customization and role playing is crazy good, the classes are interesting and there is a good amount of both solo and group content to keep you occupied.
  13. http://parsely.io/parser/stats For scaled content look at 3.25 million, for 75 content look at 6.5 million. This should give you a baseline on how X class should perform but remember the type of the fight makes a huge difference in Swtor ( St, Aoe, Can you take damage?, melee fight, ranged fight, static fight, mobile fight, fights that are drawn out, fights that require burst...etc ) I personally play Powertech and so far it has not disappointed on the meters.
  14. How about if energy shield heals you while your being hit or the first 6 seconds? I know it would work even better with AP but then again it is supposed to be the pvp spec. Speaking strictly pyro ( or even AP at half the cooldwon) reactive healing or 6 seconds every 120 seconds would be a great defensive boost.
  15. I did a couple of dummy parses, it’s as if power yield is higher than energized blade and my initial burst is like pre-nerf pyro meteor brawler.
  16. Are you talking for pve or pvp? I will be farming for the veteran ranger and powerlode tactical if it is good for pve.
  17. I came to swtor from wow and as amythic raider I am not planning on going back. here are some things that excel in swtor: 1. More serious tone is swtor: they just added foxes as a playable race, pandering to cuteness. One look at Darth Malgus explains what swtor is. 2. Classes and gameplay: Wow has hit an all time low with class and gameplay. Spells have been pruned beyond belief and the combat is slow, clunky and boring. Where in Swtor the abilities compliment the class, combat is fun and hectic and the classes really make you feel like your role playing them (e.g. Bounty Hunter makes you feel like BH). 3. Gearing: Swtor throws gear at you and you can easily get to full 306 in a week or so. In Warcraft I got my max level weapon a week before a major patch. Also they have now around 4 variation of each item so good luck on you guys who like to min-max gear. With max gear in Swtor I can enjoy o every aspect of the game instead of it being a gear-marathon. 4. Raiding/ops: I find Swtor MUCH better than WoW here. WoW content is all about consuming, while you may think that it has a lot of content it doesn’t. As soon as the next major patch , older raids ( even the older ones from the same expansions ) immediately become obsolete. SWTOR’s scaling is awesome and keep every older ops relevant. Also the daily reset on story mode is fantastic. 5. The Grind: Warcraft always was a second job if you wanted to stay competitive. Grind for materials, gold, gear, herbs.... it never ends. Legion and now BFA have items that have an endless grind so it slowly becomes about who spends more time in game vs skill. SWTOR’s only grind is for credits for high end augments and cosmetic stuff. 6. Cartel market: this one is crazy good, insane awesome cosmetic gear and the game even gives you the currency to buy it. Wow’s " market " is nonexistent comparatively. 7. Solo gameplay: Swtor has a ton of things you can do solo. You can even do older content and get renown/conquest points. Wz’s and ranked matches pop up relatively fast. Traveling to other planets with your own ship is an immersion beyond anything that WoW can offer. I am extremely happy in Swtor as it’s an MMO that caters to both casual and hardcore players in a near equal way.
  18. I saw a cartoon where a bounty hunter picks up a saber and goes to town. Yes a saber or a vibro knife would be an awesome alternative to a bounty hunter. Imagine having " rapid slashes “ vs " rapid shots ", while I would lose my range I would be happier lore or playstyle wise. And for a bonus effect each slash heals you for 2% of your health, that would be the ultimate icing on the cake.

  20. For Pyro: 1. Replace deadly onslaught with FLAMETHROWER, 2 GCD channeled cast and you stay mobile with same total damage. ( Lore reasons ) 2. Make Searing wave refresh Incendiary Missile. 3. Visual effect: give Flaming fist, Vent heat, Determination and Jet charge a visual effect of opening A couple of thruster flaps on your back with a small dustoff ( e.g. Titan 6 when launching ) effect. 4. Power yield: make it start at 5 stacks and slowly deteriorate to 1 for the full 30 seconds, taking damage adds a stack to a maximum of 5. 5. (NEW ability) survivability: Jet dodge, makes you use you jet pack to instantly go to your selected movement direction for 15 meters. ( just imagine rapid shots while flying backward ) 6. (NEW utility) PVP/PVE survivability healing utility: Carbonize and Electro dart removes all applied dot(s) to whomever it stuns and heals for you 15% of every enemy cleansed up to a maximum of 5 cleansing .( basically 15% to 75% of your health )
  21. Hello everyone, As a fan of pyrotech - PowerTech here are my suggestions. I will be breaking them down to two sections, gameplay and the visual. Gameplay: 1- Increase thermal sensor override to 3 abilities: Pyrotech gameplay is unforgiving once you hit above 50 heat, you always have to be vigilant on your heat levels and with the amount of things you have to keep track of this would make mistakes more forgiving. 2- Make searing wave refresh Incendiary missile: it spreads the dot just give it a refresh ability to make micro managing dots easier. 3- BRING BACK FLAMETHROWER: it is an iconic ability in bounty hunter lore. Replace deadly onslaught with a channeled 2 gcd mobile flamethrower. Same damage but it will satisfy the BH role play. 4- Make Power yield start at 5 stacks: let it start at 5 stacks and deteriorate by time to 1 unless damage is taken, each tick of damage will bring it back to full and make it go through the whole 30 seconds at 1 stack If no damage is taken. PY is a buff that is unforgiving at hm ops, sure you can face tank stuff at story mode but hm can get you insta-killed. This will make it more forgiving as even if you don’t want to take damage you get a nice 2% ( dropping off from 10% ) for the full duration in a worst case scenario. 5- New ability Jet retreat: this ability will throw you back 20 meters instantly to avoid danger. 6- Kolto overload: this ability is weak from the get go, make it a passive that auto activates at 35% health and increase damage reduction to 50%. The heroic utility stays the same. Visual: 1- Vent heat: Can you please make a couple of flaps that open from the back and visually vent heat like the smoke that Titan 6 emits before launch. 2- Flamethrower: as mentioned before, replace deadly onslaught with the the old flame thrower. 3- Righty\lefty: let us choose which hand has the gun. 4- Hide gun: Give us a brawler stance without a gun, Rapid shots can be activated from gauntlet. 5- Allow gauntlet to have weapon tuning ( can be installed in shields ). 6- Superheated Flamethrower: give this the gauntlet animation ( small flame jet ) of consuming flames. These are my personal views and ideas regarding Pyrotech. Thanks everyone
  22. As long as I get my daily 8-10million for an hour of gathering nodes and undercutting by 100-200 credits, I am happy.
  23. Coming back to swtor from WoW and being a mythic raider, I love the new gearing system. I can now enjoy the finer aspects of swtor like finishing all the solo missions, wz’s, role playing vs the endless grind and rng for gear. I can join ops for the fun and enjoyment it brings me instead of feeling obligated to raid for a specific item that may or may not drop.
  24. Sadly while marauders are a ton of fun they are far from being the best dps in the game and Sorcs outshine them at parses.
