  1. Greetings! My gf and I have been away from SWTOR for about 2 years now. Just came back because we were bored of the other games. I main a PT tank and she mains a sorc healer. We are familiar with all the raids except the newest one. We're not super hardcore, but we enjoy learning the group makeup, tactics, and just relaxing and raiding. We use Discord, but I'm sure we'd DL a different voice program if needed. If you're a fun, relaxed group that might need a tank & healer for a second ops team or whatever, send me an in game note/pm to Lunch-box Good gaming to you all!
  2. Apologize if this got answered earlier in the thread. I've been out of SWTOR for about 2 years, just came back. I enjoy PT Tanking. Am I just not getting it or does a lot of the tank gear with low Endurance values? I have begun working through the process of command and upgrading gear, but man, it seems like if I have gear value the same as my GF who is a healer, and she's beating me by 5k - 10k Hitpoints. I understand that defense (avoidance), shield & absorb (mitigation), but it seems odd that equal gearing has tanks on the low end. Like I said, I may be doing something wrong. Just curious if I'm missing something.
  3. This happened to me when 4.0 first dropped. There is a mechanic that if you kill the waves of adds that spawn too quickly, the mechanic won't happen, and therefore, you're stuck. Basically, after the first or second wave, when the adds spawn, there is a machine that shines a light on one of the adds (my guess is that it buffs it or something). If you kill the adds before that light thing shines on one of them, the mechanic can't happen and you're borked. Took me a few times to realize it. Hope this helps.
  4. This isn't new. In fact, a thread like this shows up about once every 4-6 months. The Scam Debate
  5. My friends and I think it's a bit ridiculous too, but we've turned it into a game. Who can spam the other's mailbox with Ice Scrabbler Jerky recipes? We've filled our guild bank, and now turned to playing hot potato through the in game email. I had like 20 messages last night, and I thought, awesome I sold stuff. Click "Select all", then "retrieve all" and error ... inventory full. Lol ... they got me. I laughed and mailed them to someone else.
  6. It's an ability "notification" for the scoundrel / operative class. I think for operatives is called "Tactical Advantage" and scoundrels its "Upper Hand", however I reserved the righ to be wrong. Basically, it's a proc that those classes get. When something procs, and they gain one of those abilities, the toon makes a little laugh.
  7. Bought a custom huttball stand. Placed it and thought, "Man, this thing is hilarious!" My friends and I ran around blowing each other up. Then we all decide, "It would be awesome to have a bunch of these all over, we could just keep blowing each other up." So I ran back over to my GTN, spent 2.2 and 2.5 million credits respectively, and bought 2 more stands. Picked them up out of the mailbox, right clicked to use them ... "You have reached the maximum limit for this decoration" LOL yep, reading is hard. Didn't notice the 1/1 for maximum number of these decos. We all laughed at my stupidity. Was a funny day.
  8. I get that. It's not that I don't like PvP, I'm just terrible at it. But my guess is it wasn't the initial death by PvP that made you so mad to come post, but it was the continual flag, which allowed you to be killed over and over. So, I'll pass along a nugget of fun that someone told me. Use the GSF tutorial to lose your flag. Click on the GSF button on your mini-map. Then when the big GSF menu comes up, in the upper right hand corner is the "tutorial" button. You load in, then you hit ESC, exit GSF, and when you load back in from wherever you were originally, your flag is gone. No having to go to your SH, or going to fleet, no waiting 5 minutes. I know this doesn't help your original problem, but in the event that you get yourself flagged on accident again, at least you can get unflagged real quick like.
  9. It's one of, if not the rarest drops in the game. That's why it's so expensive. Allegedly, it drops off lockboxes, any mob over lvl 50, and Treasure hunting missions. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=470534 What people may not tell you is that it DOES NOT BIND on use or pickup. I've given mine to numerous people in my guild to let them get the achievement for using one, and then they give it back. So, you could save up, buy it, use it, then sell it when you're tired of it and you get your money back
  10. I run DPS comp with any toon I'm running. And 21/22 times that DPS companion is HK. Stuff just dies ridiculously fast, and that "Assassinate" ability he has thins out a pack of silvers really quick.
  11. It is on the Esstran Exports (however you spell it, the newest Cartel Reputation) Vendor. IIRC, it's 1 cartel certificate and like 25k or 50k. I'm half asleep at the moment, so forgive my errors. Not on the Oricon vendor. Won't find it on the GTN.
  12. If I'm not mistaken, I think it's something like 1.5x the amount of xp needed for the level you're on. So say you need 100k xp to get from lvl 10 to lvl 11 (I know those aren't the right numbers but for ease of demonstration), I think you can have about 150k rest xp. I know for a fact there is a cap, I'm just not 100% sure where it lies.
  13. I think that if stats weren't tied to crystals, it would be a great idea, and something to look into. But since they chose to put stats on them, I couldn't see them adding a second "crystal" place holder to dual bladed sabers because then, for example with the +41 to "x stat", the saber would have a +82. Still think it would be a cool idea though
  14. My group downed UL last night but after quite bit of frustration. We roll with the 1 tank 5 DPS setup. These were some of the results we had: 2x : DPS in the "Off-tank" wing of the cross (behind) was one shot killed on a green cross (65k+ hit both times) 1x: Lurkerling evaded (our guess was an invisible rock?) 3x: Rocks fell but had either no or non-corresponding reticles which would kill one or more members. We had a few other bad pulls with just plain bad RNG, but we should have been able to work through. Eventually when we did down him, we were under the impression that the adds were supposed to de-spawn. Nope. And then invisible walls made it impossible to kill the adds from range, so we took more damage (lost a few due to stupidity) to adds that weren't supposed to be there. Overall, really weird fight last night, especially since I had just did this fight on Wednesday night with no problem. Only thing I can figure is maybe the hot-fix on Thursday morning (?) undid a few of the new changes implemented in 3.2.
  15. not sure it's a matter of no one cares. i think it may be a matter of the subject has been discussed in numerous other places at quite some length. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=807046&highlight=blood+hunt http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=805039&highlight=blood+hunt http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=800119&highlight=blood+hunt+hard+mode http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=796756&highlight=blood+hunt+hard+mode
