  6. Hmm level 37 sih inquisitor. Have you tried selecting an advance class yet?
  7. It really depends. What us your goal for crew skills? Making credits? For an achievement? To help leveling easier? Want to be able to have access to gear, Aug etc? Also depends if you're familiar with crafting. If you're new to crafting, try picking up the gathering first. Generally speaking, you can never go wrong with slicing
  8. There aren't many ways to get credits. You either 1. Work hard and spend a lot of time (ex grind heroics) 2. Spend rl money (buy cc and sell cartel market items on gtn) 3. Play the gtn (with A LOT of patience) It appears you're trying to play the gtn but having little success. The key is to buy items that are rare. Do it go buy cheap junk items. Also the best time to buy is when things on the cartel market are on sale. Ex the visionary packs were on sale couple weeks ago. When it was on sale I looked up the marsh hunter acklay (gold mount from visionary pack). No surprise, the prices dropped cause supply increased. I bought the acklay mount for 1.9mil and now it's on the gtn (2weeks later) for 2.9 mil. I bought 5 acklay so if I sold them all now I would get 5 mil right there
  9. Welcome back to the game! Leveling has changed in that leveling is much faster. You only need to do calss story and the planet arc in order to stay up to level. So leveling is very fast (no more grinding fp, yay!!) and because of the fast leveling, I personally havent used any mods until level 60 or even until i reach end game at lv 65. If you feel you are under geared, just level up another 2 level or so and you'll be fine. I never bought mods and i just level and pick up gear from loot and i do just fine.
  10. Aug 9 for early access if you qualify (must be a sub by july) and Aug 11 for everyone else.
  11. It's appalling how some veteran players have become such jerks to newcomers (despite the fact that they were probably once noobies as well) - we all have to start out somewhere. When i was a newplayer, i quickly learned that the general chat is not helpful (or friendly) to new players most the time. The best thing to do is search up a guide online (i used to use dulfy) or to find a guild that can help you out. When you ask a noobie question on gen chat, you're basically asking for trouble. Hope this helps
  12. I've queued with a full 4 player group. What message does it say when you try to queue? We might be able to help you if we knew exactly what the declining message is
  13. Nice to see that there are still players who know what they're doing on the pub side. It appears pvp on pub side has been getting better and it's probably cause many players are playing pub toons for the dvl event.
  14. Just don't pvp. Most people are in it to win a warzone. If you couldn't care less about winning (of if you DON'T want to care about winning) then just don't play them. If you're in there with the attitude that you don't care if you win or lose, then you're negatively impacting the team. So to answer your question of how to take pvp less seriously - you aren't even taking them seriously considering you're new and already considering to leave. so the solution is don't play pvp if you aren't interested in helping your team win
  15. What server are you playing on? if it is a fairly dead server, get out now! since you're doing the champion level (with valor 5), you also need to do all the flashpoints. It's going to be a pain to queue for flashpoints on a dead server. yes you can do some fp solo but i believe there are a few that dont offer solo.
  16. I don't have all day to play the game, so I only play up to champion level. the first two levels (heroic + legacy) you should definitely do. You get rewards for simply leveling a character, and you are going to level your character whether this event is going on or not. I am not all that interested in getting another companion so i'm only doing up to champion because most achievements are convenient anyways.
  17. I would reccommend starting a new character because there is also the dvl event (you get rewards for just playing stuff like fp, leveling up, playing wz etc). Since you're a subscriber you also have a lv 60 token which you can use and it gives you a lv 60 toon and kicks off with the kotfe story, but no dvl rewards with the lv 60 token toon
  18. I'm surprised no one ask this but does anyone know why there is suddenly a bunch of life day stuff in the middle of the summer?
  19. if you jump off a really tall place (top of the alderaan mountains) you'll die and the plague will be gone. Alternatively you can go to a warzone and you'll probably die there as well and spread the plague.
  20. Here's a downside, the prices on the GTN have skyrocketed for almost every single item. Remember when you thought that 10 million credits you made back in 2.0 was worth a lot? Well it's not worth as much as you think it is today I returned because of the episode 7 movie as well and it came to me as a big surprise when i looked up some new and old items on the gtn. Also speaking of credits, what's up with gen chat. it's not even gen chat anymore, just a bunch of spamemrs trying to sell credits. these are also coming directly in my inbox. Hmmm, is this where people are getting all their credits from causing all this inflation?
  21. I'm in the same position as you. I was actually so disappointed when they made this DVL their new "event". However i open 15 packs and finally got a tulak supplementary, and cathar honor sword. Yes not the full set, but now I have a reason to continue this "event". I don't consider this a real event, cause it's just a bunch of content which has been available since day 1. Just BW lazy way of keeping players entertained while they work on chapter 16 and kotet
  22. Players have constantly asked for same sex romance options and it seems they put all that suggestion into the creation of Theron and Lana (among other very minor characters), so they are very unlikely to be going anywhere.
  23. Yes it is crucial for sent/mara to know other classes and their abilities. I made a rookie mistake of starting my first swtor character as a sentinel. If you are in the same position, I would take a break from the sent, play some other classes that you aren't familiar with and return back to the sent when you are comfortable. I've played through all the classes and find that sentinels are one of the more difficult classes to play, ,but once you get used to it, you can 1v1 almost anyone. So yes - very rewarding class to play but takes effort.
  24. Very helpful for new or returning players thank you! Although I have never seen people use, or don't use (anymore) more than half of these acronyms/abberviations
