  1. 5 match today: 4 Huttball (1 Quesh) and a Void... Starting to bored with huttball.
  2. I was thinking during 5 match today "why can't I enter stealth although Im not in combart"...
  3. I know noone uses it but an option simply as in the "Planetary Destinations" would do it.
  4. That, or a controller as they can be in PVE. In Sin's case, it's mid-field controller.
  5. [OFFTOPIC] I value contributors of the community and completely aware of the state of the game/trolls who may discourages them. For that, I try to cheer them up every time I have the chance. Because they can keep the info for themselves and be #1 ranked instead of sparing time and energy for sharing. [/OFFTOPIC] So, what do you expect from a healer?
  6. Sorry but, you're confusing two different threads in one of which you're irritated by an OP. I repeat: I am not that guy and I want a whole different thing? Getting big hits without dying into objectives is not easy mode, as anyone can imagine. If they try getting naked and throw themselves into the fire, they die and counter resets. But if they really delve into objectives, with the help of mechanics, they can earn it by their sweat and sacrifice. Hence the title :] Sacrificer. You also completely undervalue the potential for people other than you. After all, you may skip that medal if you don't want to obtain it. So why bother preventing others to have it? I'm 99% sure this will change at least some of the selfish DPS into supporters when the math made well, just for the thrill of it. You're mainly DPS aren't you? And never tried to save the only node by yourself, while the team is in bad shape? *That* is what should be rewarded instead of Imma-9999-crit-hit attitude. If I see someone took that medal in a WZ/Arena, I would vote MVP them, wouldn't you? You can't control other's damage completely, and you definitely can't control the mechanics! That is the part you don't understand. It will be counter-produtcive to eat damage when the number is below the line... So they could earn damage/prot medals instead of eating damage and Die trying, so this will precisely to change some of them into supporting role to earn the new medal. I repeat: When the math / mechanics are done correctly. Do I have to do that too?
  7. That is because I'm slightly undergeared Guardian tank, due to leveling alts. But I meant this: Tanks have to deal with controlling the environment as you said, so we need our minds focused on the right thing at the right time for there're many things to direct attention. If I ever have to use my DCDs pre-big hits (like un-interruptible big damage skills of bosses) to counter them, that means mostly healer can't keep up. And there is a spectrum of reasons rather than 2-sided line. - Tank may be undergeared which means both easier (low hp fills fast) and harder (low mit. causes spikes) to heal at the same time - Tank may not has enough mitigation values in current state but can save with DCDs in the right time - Tank may not hold aggro enough (which this is not an issue for me) - Healer may be undergeared but is a good healer which means low healing outcome - Healer may not know when to use appropriate heal types (DoT or burst or middle value heals) but is ok rather than awful - 1 or more Dps may need heal as well due to an AOE attack, at the same time when Tank's DCDs are in CD. I know and am agreeing with you, although you should consider that they have cooldowns so we need them in the "right time" among other things. A good healer doesnt allow their tanks to pop DCDs "wastefully=wipefully"; in return tanks can hold aggro well. It's a team effort after all. Tanks and healers serve each other.
  8. And for regs, too as a mid-fielder. This comparison [shadow section only] may help for a beginning player.
  9. Excellent guide! Thanks for the effort. As soon as I return to my Guard, I'll make use of it. Voted 5 and subscribed.
  10. You can open Cooldown text (as in countdown) in the preferences menu. The icon can also glows if you chose to.
  11. Great Idea man! It's a torture to find people for World Bosses, and when you do it's almost always the wrong people who are not prepared for that. /signed
  12. That. And for tanks, getting the most hits is "the" issue in pvp, since you cant really taunt a player into attacking you.
  13. Im in between tank and dps shadow, currently at lvl 29, so as soon as Im 30, ill test both in WZs. But as far as I saw from others, DPS shadow is highly capable of guarding nodes "until the help arrives" even alone thanks to evasive (stealth, stun, speed, etc) nature of it. PVP Tanking is underrated and left aside by the EA/BW in current state of the game, so even if you're a Guardian/Jugg it's undervalued by the players also. So if you really want this for the sake of playing an evasive tank, do it but don't expect much. In case you wanna try: If you can team up with a pocket healer (any would do), it will definitely enhance your experience since your role requires protecting, not getting every killing blow. Shadows/Sins = Light armor so they rely more on evasive tactics; such as kiting (for ranged skills), taunting from afar, Crowd Controlling (requires keybinding), interrupting, Guard Swapping (also keybind), hit and run, etc. It's basically the speedy controller in the team rather than a stand and fight tank or a damage dealer. But at level 55 you gotta gear up right for your needs, so check guides. So, whether it's viable or not depends on whether you'll enjoy this play style or not. I'll definitely give it a try.
  14. No I am not. And for anyone who's up for supporting the team, and getting hit "for the team" is... Because if you read the whole thing, i said "be it while you protect a node, etc". And don't hink getting hit like 1k dmg, i said make the number big. So be it, getting hit a big number without dying while you're into objectives. Previous topic had a discussion, read it: So maybe this medal leads people into supporting their team instead of being number addicted.
  15. Didnt read above but I assume Everyone explained why this is bad, so I may have a useful suggestion for you to use before PVP. Simply, find a lower level mob to kite (circle around it) and pull it without hitting it. First try to keyboard turn and see the reaction time. Then same thing with mouse right click + A/D. You'll see that kiting will be faster and smoother. You can practice it by simply using your speeder or on foot. Find a tree and circle around it without keyboard turning, make zigg zaggs, etc. Then add pressing button to that against lower level mobs. It's really simple when you got used to. For that, you'll need keybindings: So watching SWTOR: Key Binding Guide: How to become a Non-Clicker may help. 6:40 is keyboard layout. Good luck on PvP.
  16. Im glad that you find them useful. Even if you're trolling, cheers He deserves that.
  17. Since so many players rightfully complaining about PVP in SWTOR, as in this thread, I wanted to offer my thoughts for the community to at least start a productive communication instead of ranting carnival. This is one of the suggestions I made in linked topic: In addition, damage taken count may be shown in the chart after a match ends. EDIT: So be it, getting hit a big number without dying while you're into objectives. My intention in this suggestion is to buff pvp tanking that is dying in swtor, with a simple medal while offering the benefit to both dps and healer roles. Supporters win so everybody win. Maybe it draw more attention to pvp too, who knows?
  18. TL;DR: Read the colored part. If you liked it, support my suggestion in this topic. But what everyone agree is being treated like a scum is unpleasant. Yes, pvp is competitive by nature but is also a "team work" which means helping the noobs in your team for everyone's sake is better for the team. The trouble is, over-competitive people treat all as if this is military, or worse; They resemble to bad middle school coaches who just want to make it up for their bad lives, in games. My suggestions: For the players: Try at least once, just once, to treat your team as they need, (if you know better) lead them in the WZs / Arenas, like a boss you claimed you are and prove us that you really matter by learning to win "AND" lose "with" your team, not against your team. Train potentially PvP'er noobs, at least direct them to youtube videos, pvp guides, useful info, etc... Take initiative instead of being an arse. For Bioware/EA: There may have dailies to "Play x ranked matches" where x is between 10-15 in addition to "win x ranked matches." They can change the pvp level system to 10-19 / 20-29 / 30-39, etc in spite of bolster system since high level players have more skills in rotation than lower levels so instead of bolster, low level players don't have much to do. This way Qs may pop up less at low levels but it can lower the tension between different leveled players. Also, there may have additional medals for solely supporting the team instead of making the highest damage or taking the most kill for we have enough already. [NEW MEDAL] An example would be for taking damage for the team and it may be titled "Sacrificer". It is simply whatever the amount of damage taken in a match both ranked and regs. Make it achiavable when you play for the objective, or simply make the number big to obtain.Since noone wanna die, noone would dare abusing it for it would be counter-productive.
  19. /thread. Either OP is a troll or should know better.
  20. FYI from a tank: We use DCDs only we have to so it means low life (<35%) or danger so it depends on healer. If I speak for myself, I don't mind popping out 1-2 DCDs in a boss fight, but if the healer cant keep up with me and if I spent all my DCDs and in need of attention, that usually means, well, lets say a healer in bad performance. This is from the Tank's Thread:
  21. Yeah! Nerdserking kills. I can't stress this enough.
