  1. My friend and I played through KDY (Republic version) once without issue. We tried to play through it again, however, we are stuck at the shuttle. When click the shuttle, it shows the cutscene of the shuttle traveling to Kuat, and when the cutscene finishes we are back in the Republic ship hangar in front of the shuttle. We have tried relogging, resetting the instance, deleting the quest from our journals and starting over - nothing works. We are not attempting to skip the cutscene in any way, but the glitch happens anyway.
  2. Has anyone found a fix for this? I'm stuck here myself and I can't progress at all. EDIT: I figured out a fix. Since it's been months and still hasn't been fixed, I'm going to assume it will continue to remain unfixed and will post the fix below: 1) Travel to your stronghold (assuming you have one). You have to do this to get out of the room, since you can't access your abilities and there's no exit. 2) Do NOT click the "launch" button next to the story. It will put you right back in the room. Travel to your ship. Land on Iokath. 3) Travel all the way back to the factory. As soon as you get inside, right click on your portrait and reset the phase. 4) Click the power core terminal, and this time the power cores should be spawning properly.
  3. I heard that the issue with the transfers is because of the legacy system, especially with merging them if the character is being transfered to a server where they already have a legacy. Bioware doesn't want to accidentally mess it up, because you know if they do, there will be people on here screaming bloody murder that Bioware should have waited. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
  4. People are getting bored and quitting for lack of stuff to do. On dead servers like mine, you have to wait around a half hour to get into a warzone during peak time, and that's queuing solo, most people don't have that kind of patience. It's impossible to do the operations, because on a dead server, there's usually one or two guilds that actually do them, and they aren't willing to take fresh 50s into them due to lack of gear, so we're basically screwed in a catch-22 scenario. So the only thing left to do is level alts. I enjoy doing it, but most people don't.
  5. Oh, but he does, because he needs the attention. That combined with his cyan colored posts seems to be doing the job quite well.
  6. You should call your mom and dad and tell them that you scolded a forum poster for posting an old link. They might give you a sticker of a little yellow star with a smiley face on it as a reward. Anyway, thanks for the link OP, haven't seen it yet. Trust me though, the wannabe forum moderators are FAR more annoying than any old links.
  7. Not much of one. For the most part it seems like each faction has their own areas to quest in. Occasionally there will be an area where both factions have quests which can lead to some unavoidable PvP on populated servers... The Czerka base in the dune sea of Tatooine comes to mind.
  8. Manaan. You guys should take the top 10 planets suggested in this thread, and do an in-game poll that appears in the main menu for all of the players to vote on. Not many people come on the forums.
  9. Thanks for the podcast, it was enjoyable. This is the kind of communication that I'd like to see more of. Keep them coming. Also, please ignore all the raging morons who are spamming the video with thumbs downs, they are a very vocal minority that doesn't speak for everyone. And yeah, this is coming from someone on a dead server. I know you guys are working on it, I'm enjoying leveling alts while I wait.
  10. Hmmm, good point. What about if we kept the current system, but only one player can be the "defender" at a time (per capture point)? Maybe a shield logo or something could appear above his head to indicate who is "defending". Only that player gets defend points. The first person to enter the capture point zone is the defender, and if the player leaves when there's another player there, it will switch to the other player. This will prevent players from standing around it in groups to farm defend points, but still reward the player defending the point. Another idea (I thought of this after I finished typing all that): The +500 defend points are divided amongst all of the players defending the point. If there is one player, they get all 500 of the points. If there's 2 players, each gets 250, and so on. Just tossing around some ideas here.
  11. Bioware should handle this like how DICE handles it in the Battlefield games (since Alderaan Civil War and the Novare coast are pretty much the same as Titan mode from 2142). You get defend points for killing an enemy player in the capture zones, not just standing there. Pretty simple.
  12. I used to have this attitude! Then my server died.
  13. I really hate F2P games. I tried coming back to CoH recently, and found that half of my characters were locked because I had to "buy" the class that I had played, despite the fact that I had paid for the actual game years before. I quit and never turned the game on again. What a mess. I don't think EA would let SWTOR suffer the same fate.
  14. Yeah, we're pretty invested in our legacy, and we don't want to wipe out all of the progress we've made since launch. We shouldn't have to. I just really don't want to start all over again and level another character now, or at least for a while. I've almost got my second 50 on my server, I don't want it to be a waste.
  15. YOU. DO. NOT. GET IT. Our servers are DEAD. I just shut the game off after waiting a half an hour to queue for a warzone SOLO. All of the major raiding guilds have fallen apart, there's not enough people to do warzones with, all there is to do is level alts by yourself on barren planets. It's so frustrating, I'm sure you're happy and are having a good time on a server that actually has people to play with. That's all I want! And when we come and complain on these forums about having to wait another 2 months or whatever it's going to be for the transfers to happen, we hear it all, "QQ" "STOP TROLLING" "CALM DOWN ITS JUST A GAME"
  16. Yeah, Bondar-Crystal was full nearly every day back in December, I always had to wait in queues to get in. Now the server is always light, and there's never more than 10-20 people in imperial fleet. There was definitely a drop-off.
  17. What about us that don't have a community in the first place? I'm glad you're enjoying the game, probably in a guild that regularily runs operations/flashpoints/warzone groups, etc. But for those of us who have not found an awesome guild, we're stuck with nothing to do but do dailies and level alts. I'm on a lighter population server, and the "communities" of players that you speak of that do run the high end content, already have their A-teams picked out, so even if we join the guild, the chances of us being able to run with them are zilch because we're so undergeared, and they're trying to complete hard modes and such. It's really not fun when no one wants to invite you and there's no tool to bring us together.
  18. None any more. An update last month broke my game. The game is running on the wrong aspect ratio, and as a result, the game world is stretched out, and I can't play longer than 10 minutes without having to shut it off due to motion sickness (it's really disorienting). My sub runs out this month and I won't be resubbing. I tried getting help in the customer support section, but after giving the Bioware reps my dxdiag, they just gave up. Bioware, give us an option to change the aspect ratio in the graphics settings, and I'll come back to the game. I'll have my friend who's still playing let me know if that's ever added. It's been fun.
  19. No. I leveled my first character to 50 and did only a few warzones on the way up. That was before the brackets of course. I just played my first and only 1-49 warzone yesterday. It was awesome. I came at number one on my team. That's an awesome feeling I never get on my 50. The reason I was able to do that well is because everyone was at the same level, there were no players that were untouchable to me due to way outgearing me. Oh, and by the way, in response to you implying that I like 1-49 warzones because I "destroy the majority of 10-30s", I played on my trooper that is level 18. And I was destroying lvl 40s.
  20. All I want is a "Casual Bracket", where gear is a non-factor, and everyone's stats are predetermined based on class, and the rewards for this bracket are cut in half, or even into a third. I don't care how much the devs diminish the rewards, I just want to have fun.
  21. That's a terrible analogy. A better analogy would be, "that's like putting a quarter in an arcade machine and only playing the first level, because the second level sucks."
  22. That would be true if the lvl 50 bracket PvP was skill based, but it's not. It's gear based. Go play a game like Battlefield 3 if you want to see a game that is truly skill based. LVL 50 PvP is gear based, and that ain't everyone's cup of tea. It's certainly not mine.
  23. I'm definitely a casual and there are those of us who do care. We care because PvP is a nightmare for us. I don't have as much time to play as a lot of other people, and I don't have top-notch gear like so many PvPers seem to have. I'm slowly working on it, but it will take time. In the meantime, being successful in PvP is pretty much impossible for me. I have been leveling a trooper on the side, and I jumped into a warzone as a level 18, and wow, was it a blast! I was even able to kill people over twice my level. The great thing about the non-level 50 warzone brackets is that most if not all the players are on the same page as far as gear goes. There was no one dominating because of their gear, it was 50% player skill and 50% strategy. Unlike the 50-bracket warzones, which are 75% gear, 20% strategy, and 5% player skill. All I want is the option to queue for "casual warzones", in which gear is a non-factor, and the awards are cut in half. I just don't enjoy the current 50 bracket warzones because there's so many players I can't even touch. Am I asking for a lot?
  24. You want to ban half the players from this game? This shouldn't be an issue. I don't PvP much, but is there a system that replaces a dropped player with someone who is queued up? There should be, if there's not. Banning players for logging out is an insane idea. People have connection problems, for one. But most importantly, you're suggesting that everyone who leaves a warzone is some kind of a super-troll who's number one goal in doing so is to piss you off. That's not the case. I just logged out of a warzone 4 minutes into it because my team was getting beaten so bad, it wasn't fun at all. So I left. I left because it wasn't fun. And I should be banned for that? The other people who play this game are not mindless drones to ensure that you have a good experience, they're players just like you who just want to have fun. If they're not having fun, they'll correct the problem. And that means leaving the game.
