  1. My general take on an APAC server is too late. Being located in East Asia I'd prefer it. My lag rates are horrible. But I have so much invested into Shan that there's no practical way to move everything. Sure I could move individual characters, but a 12+ character legacy... um no. Sadly I expect I'm not alone. So basically it will be a few night owls and the old veterans left. Makes me wonder why I continue to subscribe.
  2. Credit wise I think the quick travel costs are annoying, but I can live with them for now. But for new players they can be brutal, especially in places where you HAVE to use it like Tatooine. To be fairer to the non 80 characters Maybe set it at X value times a level calculation so a level 5 might use it free but a level 80 might pay 2400. Also, making crafting actually worthwhile might reduce costs. Not just gear. instead of having to get fabricators and what not make some stronghold decorations directly craft able... X banner needs some resources and maybe a few credits. And lastly on money, Make something I want to spend them on. That 15 million on Dantooine... it seemed too much at once. The casino was less a money sink and more a time sink for rewards I have 12 of. Maybe a temp vendor selling cosmetics like emotes, basic color dyes, titles, or gag gifts. (drop a bomb and everyone turns purple.. like the glitter and snowflakes) If nothing else how about a money tree for new players. Characters under level 10 can go to a certain spot on the starter world and do something and get like 50,000 credits that someone donated. I've thought about just going to Korriban or Tython and randomly trading credits to nnobies but I was afraid I'd get pegged and a gold spammer. GTN wise It might have already been suggested but with the prices and lots of junk to wade through, I don't usually bother. So having negative search filters would really help. "blue -dye" Having wildcards like the old * in windows functions would also help. "*decur" for example. Having a widget that gives you information like Min price, Max price, Average price, and quantity for sale like I've seen for other games would make it more useful. Having more categories to pare search results would help mitigate all of these. I like the suggestions of reverse sales. I post that I'm looking for X item and my offer and it either automatically completes the trade or at least has a searchable market (buy and sell tabs). I also like the idea of being able to package armor sets so I don't have to search of every individual piece.
  3. Same thing here. I should have checking this first. Been on the splash screen before server selection now for about an hour now.
  4. Honestly I wanted access solely for the Statue decorations because I kinda enjoy playing space Martha Stewart. But my biggest takeaway was "Finally after years of letting my CC balance climb there's actually something I want to spend them on." All that being said, I think I would have preferred an in game solution. It would probably still be worth CC points, but having a quest line to follow or reputation line to achieve would have given more to do than run the same 10 year old heroics for the 4th time this week.
  5. While it is true that the new launcher does indeed connect to the server faster, the launcher itself takes longer to get to a ready state where I can input my account info. And I still have a daily one time password required. So for me at least, there's not real improvement with the new launcher.
  6. Please tell me this will be revamped later. It feels like a clunky ezweb.
  7. I noticed that too. My comp not only quit healing me. They seemed to quit healing themselves. They were getting killed by 2-3 trash mobs.
  8. At the risk of derailing this thread... Thanks for a level headed and honest attempt to help. I'm not sure if it will help salvage things for me personally, but hopefully it can help someone more on the fence.
  9. Bioware, you finally broke me. I was able to tolerate running the same heroics 3-4 times weekly just to get my main characters for each faction geared. Now not only can I not really gear my alts, I have no clue about what my main toon has. Manaan doesn't drop the matrices I need so likely I'll never will catch up... and I no longer care to try. Little new story delivered late, changes few wanted, crap gearing, and a plethora of bugs... you know this really IS the perfect way to celebrate 10 years of SWTOR.
  10. TL:DR answer. I try not to. It gives me a headache.
  11. Thank you for answering a question I had about the new gearing system. I had wondered what I was missing (realistic expectations of what to expect out of Biware) Now that you mention it yes. No matrix drops on Manaan. So it seems my choices are 1) Do the meager new content primarily for rep. 2) Do select missions for 100th time this year alone to reach conquest 3) Do the same group of missions for the 100th time this year to get gear that will get dated the month after you finish leveling it . 4) Give up and do little beyond login bonuses till the next story drips You know, the more I think on it. This really IS the perfect way to celebrate the 10th anniversary... persistent bugs, minimal story, cash shop reskins, and little communication from the developers.
  12. I was JUST thinking that. We're in summer reruns season.
  13. Tat is easier, at least for the imps. Besides the crawler in the Dune sea, the Black Box heroic area also is a search zone. Kill sand people and search. :-)
  14. Whoever suggested that it might be a beer cooler following behind you on your adventures... Now, THAT would be an awesome pet. Especially if it hands you one periodically.
