  1. Well i agree on the oil stick but for the rest of the animations there is no chance, BH is better. You can Shoryuken jedis in da face and it's priceless About companions i was speaking only from an aesthetic point of view, not their real efficiency (concerning this, Trooper companions are the best in the game). My personal taste, of course.
  2. IMHO Animations: BH > Trooper Voice actor: BH > Trooper Story: BH < Trooper Companions: BH > Trooper Overall look, i prefer BH over Trooper. About the weapon, Vanguard rifle is better than Powertech pistol but Commando big silly gun is just silly and i prefer Mercenary's 2 pistols. Also, consider that 90% of the BH's moves (expecially Powertech) come from the suit so the weapon is not that important. my2cents
  3. Here is Pa'tong, my second 55 character, Powertech tank With helmet: http://oi41.tinypic.com/14npysw.jpg Without helmet: http://oi39.tinypic.com/vh4yae.jpg
  4. Empire > Republic I agree on the post above anyway. I'd say also best voice acting for BH (male one, best in the game by far) and better animations. I mean, you can Shoruyken with BH. Priceless.
  5. Sith Warrior: 9/10 Pretty amazing, it's everything i expected from playing a ****** Sith Lord. Marvellous characters, some of the best companions in the game, Bioware puts a damn good show on this story, it's near perfection. Bounty Hunter: 6/10 A bit insipid, i expected a lot more since the character itself it's a bold dude who can kill a Jedi with a blaster. Best voice actor in the whole game anyway (male BH) and decent companions (Blizz!). I love also a lot of the standard replies he gives to NPCs... But overall, the story is just barely sufficient. I'll vote only for these 2 characters, i have also ad Assassin at level 42 and it's the worst story by far, boring as hell. Jedi Knight is under progress, i thought it was the classic and boring "white knight" story instead it's great since now (lvl 36) Trooper was the one with least expectation of them all (yessir/nosir all the time), instead it's going to be one of the best, i'm level 24 with a Vanguard and the story is amazing!
  6. In fact, i've never had a single problem to drop off aggro with my Marauder, even before the tank's taunt. So Force Camouflage has different mechanic of the other threat-out CCs?
  7. Thanks for the tips Anyway, most of the time - when FPing throu group finder - a lot of people doesn't even wait for me to pull, cuz they are heavily geared or else, and it's frustrating sometimes. We are not wiping in the end, but makes me feel useless Also threat reduction CCs, some people don't even know they exist (on their own class).
  8. They complain about Powertech DPS, as tank it's a great class even if Jugg is better (so the "pro" said) for endgame tanking. Also, Assassin is considered the worst tank at the moment. I'm not into nightmare operations or any hardcore endgaming, and my PT tank is absolutely viable and great to play. I'd follow the original plan if i were you then.
  9. I bet the new villain will be the Sith Emperor, aided by his most trusted men, the Dread Masters. The Emperor has become an entity of pure evil and madness, planning to destroy everything (he's been totally twisted after thousand of years of dark side corruption) and becoming so an enemy of the Empire. The Republic will gain more power after the events on Makeb, and the Empire is weakened by internal fights between the remaining Sith Councillors. Pubs could win the war soon if the Emperor menace wouldn't stop them. This give the chance to Darth Marr to wipe out the council a rebuild a new Empire similar to Malgus's vision: open to alien races, changing to a theocratic Empire which worship the Emperor to a more dictatorship and nationalistic Empire, with the Sith to represent the very core of it but out of its political power. Marr will be at the head of the Empire, of course, the new council will be sithless (or few of them will be allowed, like Nox) but presided by Marr. I suppose Marr will purge the old fashioned Sith, new and younger ones will rise, some to be war heroes and fearsome champions of the new Empire (Wrath), others to be cunning politicians/scholars and models for the citizen of the new Empire (Darth Nox). One common goal and true feeling for everyone, both Sith and Imperials: rise of the Empire and fall of the Republic. Well, my imagination went a little too far i suppose...
  10. I think lightsided Sith remains Sith in any case, they are called "lighsided" but this doesn't means they are Jedi or that they refuse to be Sith... It's just about moral choices, a LS Sith could be honorable and not necessary evil, or sadistic. And still remaining a proud Sith, using the dark side of the Force. Lord Praven [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Praven <- SPOILER JK STORY] from the JK's story is a perfect example of a lightsided Sith. He's not a typical Sith, but still a Sith! And using the dark side of the Force just like all the other Sith. So, canonically and lorewise yes, i think it's right for a Sith to be considered Darksided, even if he behave as LS during the story. my2cents.
  11. AOE threat generation is a problem for me more than a single target (boss). Take for example Mandalorian Raider's last boss, when he's on the corners with the turrets i have to keep aggro on them all (so i have been told) and it's damn difficult to do it. Also on trash, if mobs are spreaded, i'm taking care of the elites but the other ones i leave to the group. I don't know if this is the right way or not. Also, a good group make our job easier... BTW i dind't know about +30% threat gen on 5m range... I will try it, but this way i'll be missing Rocket Punch right? Since it's 4m range.
  12. http://magnumultra.weebly.com/uploads/7/3/9/8/7398532/6662041.jpg This one? It looks more a pistol than a rifle, even if it's technically a rifle. Jango had pistols. That's why i said when you think to BH's weapon, you think to a pistol rather than a rifle. Aesethically, i'm totally fine with pistol for Powertechs. I still don't understand why you people want to look like Vanguards...
  13. MMm, how about no. I would never look as a Vanguard and, moreover, 90% of our moves comes from the suit not the weapon so i really see no use for a rifle to a PT. Pistols are BH's trademark, they are inspired to the Fetts duo and they were using both pistols mainly. my2cents
  14. Back to 1 month ago. I rolled a Mercenary and, shortly after, a Powertech. My idea was to go with the Merc, he has amazing good dps, healings, cool animations and 2 guns style which looks totally awsome. Alongside i was playing with PT as well, even if it was my secondary choice. It was around level 20 that i changed my mind... I started to love PT "bold" style, to crush things face-to-face, use the blades (specced AP for the levelling), and fire, fire everywhere! Result? My PT is 55 now, respecced tank and extremely funny to play... Even as a tank, it's kinda quick to take down things when it comes to solo-dailies... I'm still amused with Merc even if i definetly prefer PT's style. It's all about style. Try both, and go for the one which you feel better.
  15. Playing throu my BH's story, i found out that LS/DS alignement is not about being good or evil, instead it's more like honor (light side) against avarice (dark side) choices. Personally, i've been playing light side with some dark side choices during the story.
  16. Whaaaaat...?! SHORYUKEN! Best move in da game. J/K, but seriously i think it's much better looking than the Trooper's Stockstrike.
  17. On the Alliance? Anyway, SWTOR's BHs are stictly connected with the Mandalorians which are - historically - enemies of the Republic.
  18. I want to see Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo from GoT) as a ****** Sith!
  19. KBN  What you suggest me to do then? Should i keep the Str ones or should i go for Power? Considering my gear... Also, if i have to go for another full set of augs the cost will be very high... I have 2 millions left
