  1. I got a reply from a Gm and he stated that it's a known issue that they're working to fix asap
  2. I am able to chat again, and it was almost exactly 12hrs since
  3. I am running into the same issue. I was linking items to guild chat and then it just stopped. I reset ui, set ui to default and deleted swtor settings as was told by my support ticket. This did not work, so I uninstalled and deleted settings files again. Reinstalled the game, quit guild and rejoined.
  4. I don't honestly see what the OP's problem is most of the stuff is buyable on the cartel market, and that which is not, I never see anyone wear in the game anyways whens the last time anyone saw someone wearing a bk-11 combustible armor set? the voss one is obtainable with voss rep gold triumvirate armor(silver can be purchased on gtn) the new trooper armor is obtainable with OP's CE on emp side or section x rep on rep side that leaves 3 things that really stand out, the helm of avarice (whice I have yet to see be worn in game) the new pod racer speeder from bounty rep and the bounty rep weapons(which are just graphically enhanced primordials and comparable is available on the gtn for less credits) as far as pay to win? the lvl 42 purples? 40k credits a piece, 42 purples on gtn? 25k I don't see pay to win in any part of that for an alternate argument, someone can argue your CE rewards were the start of pay to win, which didn't stop you then, so...?
  5. I like how you were going with the small CC appearance options, but they should really expand further at the moment, humans are extremely customizable, and all the other race have about 1/4 of the options, even though most are using base human face models(chiss, miralian, miraluka especially) I often find myself playing humans exclusively, just because of the appearance options lacking from the other races. It would also be nice to create younger and older characters There are models for young teenage characters, and from time to time, they show up in the story on the reverse, there are old wrinkly characters, and i'd enjoy playing some of those as well(my main personally, I'd prefer him to be wrinkly and gray) I know this could pose continuity issues, for old age you could make them only usable after chapter 3, younger characters is easy... 'the force is strong with this one'
  6. I would like to see these as well, but I'd like to take it a step further. darside currently displays corruption as you progress, it'd be nice to see some sort of purity display, maybe a faint glow to the face or something it would also be nice to be able to purchase a permanent glowing eyes adaptive helm or something like that red for dark side, and gold for light side
  7. This is just a simple item I would like I personally like wearing jedi robes a lot, but I often don't like wearing the hoods but it's basically a choice of hood or helm at the moment It would be great of you added an adaptive armor item that when 'displayed' would hide the hood of robes alternately, it'd be nice to have an option to hide hoods added to the UI, but I'd probably be more happy with the invisible helm personally.
  8. My suggestion is to add a new feature to the user interface for missions such as daily/weekly quests This could help ease the stress on the fleet instances, as many people would not need to return as frequently. It could also be used to complete the final turn-ins for flashpoints, without the need to return to the fleet every time
  9. Being a person with limited time(12hr workdays) I often find myself with times where I need to break from questing on a planet to jump back to the fleet It gets pretty extensive to do a simple jump back and forth, considering all the travel and load times It would be really nice to have a new Priority transport, where you could set any quick travel location as your homepoint, and quickly return from any location
  10. I know this is mostly for the RP aspects of the game(and would really only affect consular/inquisitor and jedi knight/sith warrior), but it would be nice to be able to switch your dominant hand as a Sage, my saber is really just a flashy off-hand for RP purposes, it'd be nice to have my dominant right hand casting this could also be a style fix for some people from a programming aspect, you could probably write a code that mirrored the model and skeleton, which would probably be the easiest implementation
  11. aye, it amazes me sometimes, this game is ran by bioware, it has to have a decent backing of support staff, but why is it smaller mmo's get addressed on the forums by staff on a frequent basis, even to the point of the head of operations speaking to players and letting them know if it's possible or if something's in the works bioware has a really bad case of leaving us in the dark...
  12. jedi sentinel/smuggler armor is often leather guardians wear heavy plate for defensive purposes, and consular wear lightweight cloth robes leather armor is not available too frequent, but it is there, especially a lot of cunning gear it may not be called leather, but has the look, there are also a few cartel market options
  13. simple answer, just because it worked for one game does not mean it will work for another wow is not swotor is not lineage is not warhammer is not anything else the actual effects are based on the mechanic of the game's engine itself if swtor used lineage's engine it would probably work great, but it does not, and that's where your problems arise if this was to be implemented, the only way for it to be unbalanced, would be fore you to have a 'soft' target for those 4-6 seconds, after which you would automatically re-target your original target, the range would have to be limited, close to melee range. at that point, it would still be more of a CC than 'aggression' like you call it and as for your slurs and slanders, no, I don't dps, I heal, offensively, it would help me keep people alive, defensively it wouldn't really have an effect on me, unless again, you're using it as a CC and forcing me to stop heals to attack you, at that point, there are just better options
  14. with the advent of each new cartel/contraband pack, comes serious oversaturation of some lesser items, that eventually just get dropped and lost. it would be nice if these useless cartel items could be turned in for some type of credit that could be used to purchase cartel coins(recovering losses, and options for f2p players to acquire coins) or cartel market certificates, or similar obviously, to prevent this from being exploited via collection system, it would have to be all unbound items only
  15. In SW media, characters are seen riding all sorts of beasts(several that are already within the game) it would be nice to be able to actually purchase one of those creatures the mechanics shouldn't be too different from current mounts, the only thing I see causing an issue would be the creatures' running animations I personally would love to adventure around on a varactyl, and then there's always the iconic tauntaun
  16. Taunts have no effect on pvp in WoW as well, or at least they didn't for the 4 years that I played RFO taunts did not have any effect on pvp and that was a pvpmmo the only one I have heard of it actually controlling a player's actions is L/L2 SWTOR's taunt effects are brilliant, IMO, it's a debuff in pvp, you're distracting another player with a taunt, causing them to do significantly reduced damage to their targets, unless they attack you. actually controlling characters actions like that is overly exploitable, everyone would roll tanks in pvp and spam taunt/spikes or taunt/cd's, it would cause some serious balance issues also, 4 seconds in pvp is an eternity, and worse not only does it force you off your original target, but you have to chase your new target down, by then it will have worn off, if you're not already dead on the ground, you lose additional time trying to reaquire your original target
  17. The system is brilliant in idea, and it worked amazing to a point in wow, until it simply got OP and ruined the point of lower level content. I understand if that is why you made a standard HQ item set for the level, so that it's a nice boost for an alt, but at the moment, those levels it's friendly for, are blown through too fast for the items to interest anyone. I like the fact that it's 'inheritance' or 'birthright' my first suggestion is to play on that a bit more. have each specific class vendor only accessible by that specific class, and make the tokens BOP instead of BTL. The gear itself could still be BTL, but you'd actually inherit these gear pieces from your other characters. second, i'm suggesting a change to the gear pieces themselves, make them adaptive/moddable. This would not kill the need to find better gear constantly, as you'd always need to mod it(I know, there's a set already like that for standard coins, with this, you could eliminate the coin set, or just make it an alternate way of purchasing it) alternately, you can make it level-scaled, but to avoid the problem that wow had(the items classed as blue quality items for your current level), make them scale in quality as a green item, so you're never overpowered and there are always higher powered options I also suggest adding a small experience bonus, not too much, but maybe a 1-2% bonus per piece, or a set bonus that grants an experience boost
  18. Actually, it's more like your co-worker gets a raise and asking your boss for one as well
