  2. yeah this is completely correct, the Ossus and Oricon story achievements are new, and you have to actively log onto a character that has completed those missions to get them to trigger, the game doesn't automatically scan your legacy and grant them
  3. that was one of the biggest complaints about gs6 lmao honestly if people put as much effort into actually playing the game as they do into whining on the forums, this whole debacle never would have happened awesome change, some of the later daily areas are really nice but extremely tedious to unlock on large volumes of alts, and cz-198 farming was getting dull

  5. the overriding factor that makes me think case isn't stored at all and all of these different displays are in fact different implementations of string processing is the aspect of name uniqueness simple example, currently there can only be one Steve per server, regardless of how it's typed in the character creation name field (Steve, steve, STEVE, sTeVe) it doesnt really surprise me that name displays in chat have minimal processing, because the chat window itself has minimal processing; the only time you don't see exactly what you type out is if you type a word that's on the game's profanity filter with said filter enabled
  6. are you galactic rampage and taskmaster are an enormous amount of conquest points, if i'm paying attention during those weeks, I set my personal guild invasion to medium (2m points) instead of small (500k) because the amount of extra points from just playing the game is so colossal
  7. honestly no the vendor that's just a singular dumping ground for all of the legacy versions of the galactic command sets is bad enough as it is, and that was only one set per class per tier throwing over two thousand items onto a single vendor is pure insanity

  10. the salt upon your wounds is that they're never going to make this change two styles was their compromise from what initially seemed like adoption of ff14's "you can play every single class on one character and swap between them as you choose", and the selections are permanent choices to make you think clearly about which two classes you're going to play
  11. honestly at this point the absence of conquest objectives for these zones seems intentional for comparison I still frequently do the CZ-198 dailies despite being rep-capped and having next to no use for noble decurion gear or conquest comms, but it is a very quick and easy daily area that gives decent amounts of conquest points
  12. the annoying part in it was constantly having to go back to a specific location to hand in otherwise useless currency for rep tokens that essentially do nothing, and were in fact vendor trash themselves once the rep track was completed I can almost guarantee between the 7 objectives a week and other content such as flashpoints and operations, I'll have no issues getting the 1500 blueprint fragments required for the achievement before GS6 is over, and hitting the "sell junk" button on any vendor in the game is far less active effort than what I just described above

  14. im mostly surprised it took them four iterations of mostly-useless seasons reputation tracks to realise it was a bad idea actual reputation factions are cool because of the rewards you get at each rank and the tangible rewards you can work towards seasons reps were just annoying busywork
  15. yeah unfortunately this is still an issue barely that, unless you've got perfect memory of which legacy name associates with which undesirable player the only option is randomly unblocking people to reopen spaces a note system like what exists for the friendlist would be a great addition

I can't even remember if Altuur has companion conversations, he definitely doesn't have achievements for them like Fen, PH4-LNX and Amity do Fen's were just conversations, PH4-LNX was the first set to actually have goals even if it was just "go to these places and find and click a quest object" and I've already voiced my opinion on her story, Amity's story was trash but didn't even have an interesting concept in the first place so really, what rock have you been living under where the galactic seasons "story" "content" has been enticing in any way, shape or form and why were your expectations so high for GS5
  19. group finder ops are dead because story mode ops have been nerfed so hard that tanks (and arguably healers in some situations) are considered optional you DO NOT need a 2T2H group setup for storymodes

  21. nah fundamentally the reason why Shan has been dying and SF hasn't is because Shan's component servers were originally West Coast, and they moved both server hubs to the same provider in an East Coast location (iirc its somewhere in Virginia) with next to no technical differences between Shan and SF, the NA server population condensed to where there was already more activity, since SF had 5 component servers vs Shan's 3; and the slow trickle of people paying for transfers from Shan to SF is something that EA has silently been encouraging for the past 6 years and counting merging the two servers would cut off that revenue stream and as some recent announcements have shown, they're evidently trying to engage more playerbase spending

  23. yeah, PH4-LNX was a cool concept but sorely lacking in execution maybe if she'd been introduced in proper content, we could have explored her history with Czerka and the implication that she's a heavily modified GEMINI and possibly the last one in existence, but their format for seasons missions seems to be locked at 3 very short missions
  24. a former Jedi Master named Reniah who split from the Order over unorthodox views and developed her own following, also had the ability to easily form Force bonds and accelerate the growth of other Force-sensitives power and was eventually discovered and turned to the dark side by Vitiate; this was explained in the 7.3 update Long-standing guilt over her brother being abandoned despite also being Force-sensitive
  25. the New Sith Wars start almost two thousand years after SWTOR's timeframe, the devs aren't just going to snap their fingers and radically change the entire game the Black Hole pits us independently against a rogue Corellian criminal organization the Dread War is a storyline that spans from launch content to Oricon, following the Dread Masters' attempts to build their own empire, involving two daily areas, the seeker droid storyline and almost every single operation in the game up to the point of its conclusion (EV, TFB, SnV, DF, DP and technically KP because the territory losses Karagga is angry about are caused by the Dread Masters, and technically technically EV because the only reason the Empire was on Belsavis was to break the Dread Masters out but EV otherwise has no connection to the storyline) Makeb primarily focuses on the Hutt Cartel as antagonists with minimal Republic/Empire interaction, and the other 2.x content is the Shroud and Czerka the Forged Alliances flashpoints look like Republic vs Empire at first but they're actually a Revanite plot, and the Revanite focus continues through to Shadow of Revan, and Ziost is more about Vitiate than the backdrop conflict of the Republic invasion; and the Ravagers operation is a completely standalone raid against a group of Rishi pirates the return to the main faction conflict on Ossus in 5.10 didn't even last that long, the 6.x update content took sideways swerves into chasing a rogue Malgus and the start of a Mandalorian civil war that currently sits on par with the renewed faction "war" in terms of story updates dedicated to it not sure what insane faction war MMO you've been playing but SWTOR sure isnt it
