  1. redownloaded the client and been playing for a few hours. it is still very much the same game and that isnt a bad thing its just got some new features I am not sure if i will continue to play it beyond a few days.. got on did some hard modes with my juggernaut tank and it was fun. After i get home tonight i plan on spending the majority of the evening just playing and trying to find a new guild then i guess we shall see. thx for the replies.
  2. thx for the replies... Basically I was really enjoying the game and yes there was eternity vault but my guild had it on farm pretty quickly and while the hard mode of it was still a bit challenging for us it just got sorta meh after a few weeks of it. Finding groups was god awful on my original home server so the group finder being added to the game will at least help in that regard. I personally cannot stand just standing around trying to find a group at least with a group finder it does the hard work for me I got spoiled on wow for that it has basically ruined traditional group making in mmos i believe lol. I am debating on if i even want to pick up my old characters or if I should just start a new one from scratch I never did a healer in this game so im debating doing one this time. Another quick quesiton is the group finder available right at the very start from the first instances you can do? So if for example I get a jedi sage up to lvl 13 or whatever it was to go into that first instance I can go about my merry way questing and just use the dungeon finder to find a group and be teleported to the dungeon when a group is ready? If so thats fantastic. I really want to give this game another try I love the star wars setting and I am feeling a craving for an mmo as of late. I am redownloading the client now gonna take a bit longer but hopefully tmrw I will be able to jump in and see how the game is now.
  3. 55 views no comments? come on nobody out there who has an opinion? help out a returning player. If it means anything to anyone im a pretty avid game streamer as well been helping out the war-z community alot lately by streaming the game and just doing merch give aways and stuff if i start playing this again ill do that here as well like i did when game was new just dunno if i wanna get back into it or not
  4. Hello all. Well back before this game came out i was a huge supporter both here on the forums and in the community at large. I awaited the game anxiously. Well the game came out and me and the guys i play with were extremely excited and we played our little hearts out for weeks... well then basically we found out that the game didnt really have an "end game" and we were sitting around with max level characters with nothing to do and broken pvp/raids to take part in. I decided it was in my best interest as a player to instead of linger around and be upset to just part ways with the game. Well its been many months since then and I can already see the game has undergone ALOT of changes. So as a returning player I have a few questions. Are there any populated servers left? If so would it be in my best interest to just transfer over my max level characters to a new server? (I have a max sith warrior and inquisitor) If not should I just start up a new character on one of these more populated servers? I looked around but i couldnt find the answer.. did they ever put in a "dungeon finder" into the game? Whats new that I should check out? In your opinion is this game even worth trying to get back into or should i allow them even more time to "cook" it? I reupped for a month if nothing else to just get the cartel coins.. i wipe my arse with 15 bucks so its no big deal to just give em at least a month to try and recapture me as a player. Any advice at all for someone returning? Also if on one of these higher population servers if anyone has a guild they would like a returning player to try out for awhile hit me up everyone i played this game with has completely moved onto other things so I will be going it solo till i find a new guild.
  5. Well its two conflicting ideologies. Story is great companions are great it smooths the leveling process.. but do you know what happens at lvl 50 for pretty much everyone? That goes entirely silent, your "crew" your "story" everything just stops as if frozen in time waiting for that next chapter. The problem is what they give you to chew on while that next chapter is coming needs alot more attention.
  6. i think the point here is that yes its obviously clear that mmos can and will continue to always have bugs months even years after their release. But I think its also true that alot of what we are seeing now is the result of a rushed released where they were under so much financial pressure to get the game out the door that they were obligated to just get the core game working and had to fix all of this basic stuff after it was out. Sadly this is the nature of the beast when the money men want their money if you tell them no they simply take their money elsewhere. I can pretty much guarantee you that the lead developers on this game wanted to keep it "in the oven" for a bit longer, even another 2-3 months longer would of probably of done wonders for this game instead it came out and they are now doing damage control. Things like kaon under siege and such are great and alot of fun but honestly instead of having a "content" team and a "bug" team why dont they just merge the two and get this **** up and working as well as i know it can be 2x as fast. The PR guys will always put a positive spin on things but they are not retarded over at bioware and are not blind to the current state of things. 300 million dollars or not if something is simply not ready it is simply not ready and it was really close. I am willing to hang in there for a bit longer i trust bioware i know they have the talent and the means to make this great.
  7. i hate having to spend all of my in game time in the fleet....
  8. in the legacy system put in 30-40% experience gain by rolling an alt of the opposite faction. that would convince me to do it.
  9. i think i saw the reference to "prothean" stuff a few times
  10. eve online still has all of the values the reviewer wanted... thats why im still subbed to it as well
  11. no... i think that was a major oversight you are going to be in the same areas for the same level ranges forever unless they completely redo the process of leveling. Im working on my 3rd 50 as well and the only saving grace is that its a different main story.. done the sw.. bh and now working on the agent... im hoping the same thing will get me through my 4th
  12. if im not mistaken the lvl 40 pvp set has the look you are looking for.. cept for the cape.. you cant have everything but it does have a tenchcoat/robe sort of thing going on with the hode
  13. yea i know people have been stating it for months. All we can really do though is keep stating it and hope we are heard.
  14. Hello all I have been tanking in MMORPGs for as long as there has been a tank option. My tanking experience has ranged far and wide and even into the realm of armada tanking of eve online. I like so many others before the game came out and with my own beta experiences decided to make a sith juggernaut as my primary character for this game. Leveling 1-50 was simple and easy and i did it purely as a tank all the way through. No real complaints. I have since completed all of the hard mode 4 man dungeons, all of the regular 8/16man options, all of the hard mode 8/16man operations and have cleared 8 man nightmare of both operations and am currently working on 16man nightmare operations. Let me first say that a juggernaut tank is 100% capable of performing the role of primary and off tank in any group situation. Be that as it may be I have also since rolled a bounty hunter powertech tank and am in the process of getting it geared and have already decided to make that my primary character until things turn around for juggernauts. This is more of a "quality of life" sort of complaint i suppose. Boss tanking is utterly irrelevant to my complaint because as it stands ANY tank is fully capable of holding threat on a single primary target with ease. The problem i am having is how much harder it is to hold threat on 3+ mobs at a time as a juggernaut. My guild's dps has learned that you work your way up the chain from regular mobs up to the primary target of each pull. For my powertech tank that is AMPLE time to establish threat on anything of concern for the pull so that by the time the DPS start working on them there is little worry of aggro breaking. However I feel that for my juggernaut it is a constant worry it does not seem to matter how much time I am given (unless its an absurd amount of time that just isnt feasible) once my equally geared DPS guild mates lay into the primary target I am locked into a constant battle for threat. It is not an IMPOSSIBLE battle but lets just say I find that i must be MUCH more cautious about taunt placement on my juggernaut then my powertech. I am still able to do it but when the other tanks are allowed a "misfire" of a taunt and still be able to maintain meanwhile my juggernaut has to perform near flawlessly it can begin to wear on the nerves very quickly. After much discussion with the other tanks in my guild and just some stat crunching in general I determined the primary problem to be just the utter lack of DPS output of the juggernaut tank. Without a in game parser its hard to say for certain but I would place my powertech's overall dps to be approximately >>TWICE<< what my juggernaut can pull off and my powertech is in mostly t1/t2 while my jugg is in mostly t3 with some t2. I am sure I am not alone when I think a change is in order. It is very much possible to tank all current content as a juggernaut but the real question is since it is so quick and easy to go 1-50 with another class why would i want to stay with my juggernaut when i could easily stay with my powertech and do the same content putting in about half the effort to do it? I really like my juggernaut but as it stands right now I think i am going to permanently shelf him until such time as the general threat issues are addressed. If a DPS increase for the immortal spec is not in order then perhaps a buff to the tanking stance giving it another 30-40% threat increase would probably produce the same results. TL;DR version: I am a t3 juggernaut tank... my aoe threat makes me cry. So i switched to power tech and now i am happy. Retiring juggernaut till its addressed.
