  1. Comp healers have been buffed back and it's far too much. Running around as a level 14 bounty hunter I literally cannot die. I've tried pulling three groups of mobs but Mako can out pace their damage by a long shot. It's just not a game anymore because I can't die and therefore I can't lose. I can literally beat the game by making a cup of tea or if I'm feeling rather adventurous I could press the number 1 key to see what happens, then press it some more. People wanted to remove the grind from the game but going through the entire story just pressing one button is nothing but tedious. I was quite pessimistic when Heroic 2+ missions were being targeted as too had to solo, and maybe it's just me but are some people too stupid to know what the 2+ means in Heroic 2+? It's intended for 2 or more players. Buffing comps to the point that Heroics can easily be done solo makes them far too powerful for the story class missions and has no doubt ruined all of the solo content as Mako can even solo all of the story bosses. Heroics 2+ missions were not hard to solo in 4.0.2 but you did need some good gear and a decent comp, which some people were complaining about. Doing the Heroic 2+ missions rewarded you with gifts for your comp so they wouldn't be under powered for long, so what were people doing with these? Selling them on the GTN? OMG I think that's it. Farmers were complaining about the time it took to farm these gifts and sell them while everyone needs them to make a quick turnaound, which has just gotten a lot quicker thanks to the buff. Like any RPG it's not about the destination but the journey. Quite a shame really as I only had my bounty hunter left to complete in order to achieve the Legendary banner. My sub runs out in a day or two and I won't be resubbing which means I also won't be back to listen to all the bickering below. Enjoy the so called game.
  2. Level sync actually makes all content available regardless of how quickly you level up. You might be 30+ leaving Coruscant/Dromund Kaas and the next planet would still be a challenge.
  3. I would really prefer it if the patch could be downloaded a week (or more likely a day) before the release date, then have a day 1 patch on the date which would be considerably smaller and still ensure QA do their jobs up until launch.
  4. 1 - It will definitely add to the immersion, but creating a whole new "class" (with adjusted timers etc) for one or two missions would not be productive. I can't remember which companion it was but one of their talks led to a mission that I joined them on. It was one of my first classes so I sort of expected it afterwards on other classes but it didn't happen. Even something like that would be an improvement for me. 2 - I've always thought comps should ride alongside with you, instead of going *poof*. 3 - The legacy system stopped at level 50, so it would need to make up for it since then. If they could do it then sure. I'm always looking for a reason to play SWTOR. 4 - Is probably the best idea I've heard. The robot who follows you around is obviously soloing the FP, you're just tagging along. Making a group of 4 with your comps instead would be fantastic. Would I sacrifice some tankiness and leave scourge behind to bring another damage dealer, HK maybe 5 - I don't buy stuff off the GTN so I wouldn't know. Although I do have an unhealthy obsession about collecting all the lightsabers 6 - See my Adapative Action Bars (tl;dr: i agree) 7 - You just turned my legacy storage, storage into a tower defence game! It is brilliant. You could have your companions covering different sides against different oncoming enemies. Needing to select which companion is best suited for which role. Sorta like Corellia, at least for the JK. Would give me a reason to upgrade their armour. Hey, that could be in the companion missions! It's all coming together.
  5. I would very much like different sheath and unsheathe weapon animation that could purchased. Similar to emotes but gets your weapon out too. They shouldn't just be "emotes" but actually equip the weapon on the character, like the Z button does.
  6. You seem to have misquoted me there. I said all travel abilities, like Quick Travel, Emergency Fleet Pass and the numerous ones that takes you to various planets and your ship. I never said mounts, but I assume people would put them on the same action bar. Having the mount abilities visible is possible with the conditionals I already mentioned. If the mounted buff is not present and you're not in combat, then hide the action bar. That way it will always be visible when mounted and invisible when you don't need it. This. Dismounting by pressing the button is a waste of time imo.
  7. If you need to use a button when in combat, then don't put it on an action bar that disappears in combat.
  8. You wouldn't take a few hits in a single frame, even if you did you wouldnt be able to react to it within that time. Pressing Alt+Z (i think) enables or disables the UI which occurs in the next frame. They wont need to redraw them like Ctrl+U does, just don't render them until necessary. I mistakenly mentioned PvP in the OP without explaining. I didn't mean when entering combat in PvP. I meant in PvP, either flagged or in a PvP arena (as you're automatically flagged). There's no distinction between being in PvP combat or being in combat with PvP flagged. I hope that clears that up. There may be little need for it, but it can be quite handy for some. Having an action bar that emerges when you have a debuff that needs cleansing or a complete overhaul when changing spec from healer/tank to DPS or vice versa.
  9. It should be well below your reaction time. The UI needs to be drawn every frame so it should appear instantly, save for the usual server lag. I guess it would depend on how the conditions are programmed but I don't want to go into detailing that.
  10. That would be your prerogative. If you want an action bar to remain visible and hold your main combat skills then you don't need to apply a condition on them. I'm not saying you have to utilize the option for all action bars. It's up to you when they are visible or not. Just to clarify. There is no combat skills action bar. You can put abilities on which ever action bar you like. If you set a condition on it appearing then it will be visible or hidden depending on that condition. All of the action bars are identical, the only difference is what you put on them.
  11. I know there are already some "Temporary Ability Bars" but I would like to take it further. I would like action bars to become visible under certain conditions. If you're out of combat then an action bar could appear showing all the travel abilities like QT, emergency fleet pass etc. When in combat you can't use those abilities so the action bar could disappear, freeing up some real estate on screen. An other condition could be the presence (or lack) of a buff. Only showing an action bar that appears when the Heroic Moment buff is active, which of course has all the heroic moment legacy abilities. Another condition could be setting it depending on which planet or zone, flashpoints, ops or even in a PvP arena (like the huttball ability). If all action bars had this option to become visible on certain conditions and the maximum action bar limit was increased, then it could even create a small demand for action bars on CM/GTN. What do you think?
  12. All the knights abilities are cool, why can't we have them all at level 1.
  13. As you have pointed out reasons why force push is usefull I dont see any reason explaining it, so on to force pull. Force pull is used by shadows because they lack force jump, which someone noted is the knights signature ability, that guardians have instant access to when they use force push. Instead of force leap consulars get force run which shadows can use to get into range to use their myriad of AoE abilies. Sages dont have force pull but guardian pull or something that lowers a friendlies threat (which I have never seen used in that way) but is also usefull to pull friendlies out of danger, which is the same mechanic but a compley different use which is brilliant considering their different ACs.
  14. There is a small group of bandits near the space port on Tatooine that is pointing a gun towards the head of a guy kneeling down and begging for his life, it seems to work though because he's been there for months. My point is that ambience, or atmosphere if you don't speak foreign, is lacking in this game despite the huge cost towards voice overs to create an immersive experience.
