  1. *IF* I intended to continue PvPing, I would go thru the effort of getting gear. I suppose I could have taken the legacy tradeable WZ Comm thing and sent it to the next character to buy gear...but truth be told...I would rather spend those comms on something I will actually use...The common data crystals. Because once the mission is done, I won't ever PvP again. That is my choice. As I said earlier, I hate this game's idea of PvP. Always have. That's my personal opinion. Does it mean I think all you guys who worship PvP and only do that all day long are wrong and are complete idiots? Nope. Not at all. You enjoy it, so by all means...play it the way you want to play. I just don't understand why BioWare decided to do it this way. It is an issue, even if some people don't see it as one. Yes...I can deal with it...20 WZ matches (less if I get lucky and get on a team that wins) is a grind...but it's doable...I just wish I had the option to DECLINE. That's really all I want. Right now, the only options are to leave it flashing in the Companions and Contacts window, let it sit in your quest list (tracked or untracked) taking up a spot, or just suck it up and do it. Yes I hate this game's version of PvP...but because I really like Forex's dialog...I suck it up, and grind out those WZ Matches. I will not do it on Impside...I actually dislike Pierce. I would REALLY love the option to decline for him.
  2. That's all well and good if those people were interested in continuing with PvP after finishing the 20 warzones. If they aren't...why would they go thru all the effort? It's a waste of time for both PvPers and PvErs to have this mission. I am not anti-PvP by any means...I don't want people to think that. Not everyone is interested in continuing. Personally...I admit...If it wasn't for Forex...I would never bother with this game's idea of PvP. I've tried, I didn't like it. I don't like the mechanics. Never did. That's my personal stance on it. I won't ever fault a PvPer for their stance on it. HOWEVER...The mentality of a lot of the ones I encountered last night...just drive home the fact that I don't want to PvP in this game beyond the 20 matches to get Forex....Some of them are ok...but there are a few....that make me wonder....
  3. My main problem with this is that it's not fair to either PvPers or PvErs. You have a bunch of people who are not geared for PvP, most of whom have never even stepped foot into this game's idea of PvP with a bunch of people who were already upset with how PvP has been treated....since launch. To me it's just BioWare adding fuel to an already existing fire. I've done the quest twice so far on 2 different characters, and run across some very angry PvPers. SO much so that just because I was ineffectual in one (I came in late, and was unable to really do anything but die immediately several times because of being ganged up on) I was insulted and immediately blocked. This is one of the reasons I personally do not like to PvP anymore. The mentality of a lot of PvPers has turned me off of PvP. I used to actively PvP, but when you have immature children crying because you "suck"...It makes it not a whole lot of fun. But you are also cramming a lot of inexperienced and undergeared people in with people who have been doing this a while. I've talked to a lot of people so far and not many have enjoyed doing this mission...Most of them have not found it a fun addition to the game.
  4. We are recruiting for both our Republic and Imperial guilds. We are looking to recruit all levels, all classes, and all skill levels. We are a casual guild...but we intend to do the Operations at least once a week. We are open to PvP as well. I have no special rules or requirements for membership, but I would appreciate it if you are interested to register on our forums. We have a Teamspeak server that I host personally. We do not discriminate. We are an LGBT friendly guild. If you are interested, please contact me in game, or via our forums at Argonia Station, or PM here. We have been in operation for over 10 years. We are not an Elder Scrolls guild. (I created the name years before TES came about, but didn't know about nor play the game until around 2005) We started officially online in 2003 with Microsoft Freelancer, and have grown into a family. Rep: Sural, Arikka, Kal'ia, Jural Imp: S'ural, Ailak
  5. Yeah. For the most part I love this game, I love my guild....BUT...It's CS Responses like the one here by Joveth that make me SMH in real life.... There is honestly nothing that makes me WANT to do the World Event. Ooohh..>A modable legacy bowcaster that I can't even use on my main, nor any of my companions...Not even any of my alts can use it..... I think more thought needs to go into these world events before release...and definitely more thought needs to go into the rewards for these events. If you don't bring out things for everyone, you are going to alienate portions of the playerbase...Which is *NOT* a good idea...We are the ones that provide them with the continued ability to receive a paycheck...They push people away, no money coming in to pay for development....or even their paychecks...So they should really watch how they respond.... :/ I am still going to remain subbed for F2P, but others may not.
  6. Short of the occasional discovery on the GTN.... Head Piece: Potentially Alderaan, could drop anywhere. Chest Piece: Gree series (Coruscant) Pants: Taris Bonus Series Boots: Tatooine (Could drop anywhere) Bracers: Enemies of the Republic Final boss (Coruscant H4) Gloves: Republic's Most Wanted (Coruscant H2) Belt: Enemies of the Republic Final Boss (Coruscant H4) Now this is not a guarantee. But these are what people say they got them from. The drop rates are pretty low....if you want to farm...be patient, and don't expect to get the pieces right away.
  7. 50s. You can solo it easily without even a companion.
  8. The gloves can drop from one of the bosses in Republic's Most Wanted (Heroic 2 on Coruscant) Tho it's like ultra-freaking rare....We farmed it for a couple months and only one pair dropped. The headpiece, I am not sure of....It's level 27...so it could drop from Alderaan/Balmorra I'd guess.
  9. I've played off-tank (Tank Assist, or whatever you prefer to call it) and did some Main Tanking here and there.... So far...this is the only game I've EVER had trouble with tanking. Threat control is almost non-existant for a Guardian Tank. Everyone can out threat gen you. Including your companions set to their non-threat generating stances..... I mean...really? I've NEVER seen a game where a Cloth Tank can out tank a heavy.....Something wrong there I think. I too switched to Vigilance, and am less frustrated...tho it does seem that my aggro radius is quite large.....larger then anyone else's... I have found my Guardian's role....Secondary DPS, and the guy who bails the healer out when they get the attention of the mob, and the main tank either didn't notice, or taunts are on cooldown. Also we seem to have a pretty fast Interrupt....so I do that a lot too. Maybe one day....Guardian Tank will work better....and I might go back to it...but for now, Guardian DPS works.
  10. From my own experience: My main (Artifice) gets plenty of Wind Crystal from Treasure Hunting. My Alts (Cybertech and Armormech) get plenty of Silk, but hardly any Agrinium (or whatever the spelling is for the purple UWT Metal) Also on grade 6....I end up spending nearly 100k creds just to get a small amount of Corusca Gem. And that's without the Crafting Mission items...since people gouge them anyway.
  11. Ok. I've been in the MMO world for nearly 10 years now. Been thru a couple Betas and game launches....but no...I am not an expert...I am just observant. Several games I've been a part of had really horrible launches...Bugged games, unreliable servers, community explosions (not the good kind) and several of them just probably should have either been shelved or gone back to the drawing board.... ToR's launch, while not perfect...has really got to be one of the smoothest I've ever seen...I played most of the day on launch day, completely forgetting that it was a launch day...It was quiet...and other then a Queue here and there, and a few complaints which...well...should be expected....nothing stopped anyone from playing.... Yes there are a few bugs that probably should have been resolved in Beta or even during Early Access...but overall, I have to applaud BioWare for a good job. Please note: I've been around the Star Wars forums for a while...registered back when the forums were first opened before Beta even started...and I've been passively keeping track of the game since then. I never saw anything that made me fall in love with the game. I was actually (and still am) disappointed by quite a few choices that were made....but I won't go into that....I mean this thread to be a genuine compliment towards BioWare. I haven't had this much fun in an MMO in a while...Few things need to be tweaked, but overall...darn good job people. Bravo Zulu.
  12. They are only inviting blocks. When did you pre-order? (I pre-ordered on November 26th, so I should either be in the last batch tomorrow, or sometime on Friday.) All this info is posted....
  13. Looks like my estimate was right. I figured that I'd be able to start on Friday...and well...it seems that either I will be in the last batch on Thursday, or I will be in on Friday. (pre-ordered Nov. 26th)
  14. Unless something changes, I will be with the Tenites on Grand Master Zym or whatever that one is named....Eventually.
