  1. If I'm taking my frustration out on you, then I apologize. I expected a gearing system as simple as 6.0. I made a couple of stupid choices before I understood the system even a little. I find this system of gearing frustrating. Like why doesn't fp boss drop a piece of gear higher guaranteed? Such a simple addition would make gearing so much easier.
  2. No. this gearing system is not defensible. It's a disaster. Anyone who defends it is either trolling or just plain blind
  3. We should not have to go to an outside source to understand how to gear. That is a fundamental failure of a system.
  4. Disappointing answer but thank you very much for taking the time to clarify for me.
  5. This! You need 500 of 5 different currencies for every single piece of gear it seems. I find everything about this process of gearing confusing and frustrating. I still don't even know or understand how you get purple 336 for hyde and zeke. Is ops the only way?
  6. Yes, thank you. I just haven't run op's since I've been back and didn't know if that is the only way to get purple gear for hyde and zeke to break down.
  7. Do the bosses in fp not drop better gear than you wear?
  8. Help again please. I've been running flashpoints with my level 80 but all the gear drops are always the exact same thing I'm wearing. Is the only access point for better gear the vendors? That will take years!
  9. I just want to say again how grateful I am to everyone for all the helpful posts for a confused returning player like me. I also find it so sad that the gearing system is so convoluted and confusing that people are having to hold my hand and walk me through it like this. Anyway, thanks again everyone
  10. Thanks for the help. I haven't decided yet how deep with content (nim) I'm going to go yet. Thanks for the info. Why did they have to change it to something so confusing
  11. Thanks for taking the time to type this and help me. Doesn't seem simple.
  12. We aren't trying to shoot the messenger. Just frustrated this keeps happening without an explanation on why it can't be permanently fixed.
  13. Gearing at max level was simple and straightforward when I decided to take a break from serious playing. Play how you want and upgrading gear was simple and easy. Now gearing seems to use 100 different currencies and has no clear or logical way to upgrade easily. What happened to gearing? I've tried reading some of the official articles but they read like physics or old stereo instructions and I feel reading them like I got a 3rd-grade education. I do all content but prefer Solo, FP, or PVP. What is the easy way to get to max level gearing so I am prepared no matter what content I want to do? Thank you to any and all who post to help me.
  14. Thank you for these changes. Without a doubt a step in the right direction.
  15. I'm a DPS running fp to level faster and keep getting tank gear. I get almost no dps gear. I'm level 72 at the moment and was just curious. Sorry if this has been asked but didn't see a thread about it
  16. Thank you for helping me figure out what I was doing wrong. I was going to the page where you can change disciplines. Right above the 3 disciplines is your 2 classes. I was clicking them to change not the loadouts. If you click your other class on the screen with the 3 disciplines it completely resets your bar and loadout. If you just click the loadout it switches fine.
  17. Yes and no. Ideally, you could hit the loadout you want and it would load the class, skills, and equipment we had saved. But it's not working like that. instead, you use a 3rd loadout to do the switching on so the other 2 stay saved properly until it's fixed.
  18. I also had to figure a way to do this. Try to explain the best I can. 1. First loadout for my warrior tank. Save it and name it 2. save a 2nd loadout exactly the same. Don't name it yet. 3. Switch to other class ( Hatred assassin) on the second loadout. 4. name and save this one for the 2nd class. Then create a 3rd loadout exactly the same as this one and name this loadout SWITCH. Now at this point, you should have 3 loadouts with all weapons and skills saved. The 1st should be your primary class, the 2nd your backup class and the 3rd should be a duplicate of your 2nd class. Now any time you switch classes you do it on the 3rd loadout. That is very important. Because when you switch from the 2nd class back to the first the loadout will do exactly what has been happening, resetting. Now you have tried to switch back to your warrior tank. it all reset. Now that you are back to the warrior class on the 3rd loadout, load the first loadout of your warrior tank. Everything should now be correct. Now. resave the 1st loadout to the 3rd. when you switch from here on out, save your current loadout to the 3rd loadout spot, switch classes always on the 3rd loadout. then load the proper loadout and then resave it on the 3rd one. The 3rd loadout is the key. the first 2 loadouts you never switch on. they are the saves of your 2 different classes. . by switching on the 3rd loadout your class loadouts are never saved over. Just make sure you always switch on the 3rd loadout and resave it. Hope this was clear enough, sorry if it wasn't, I'm not real good at explaining stuff like this.
