  1. Yeah I think so too. I've seen some serious competition from Pubs that I haven't seen here since I transferred my sniper here awhile ago, but can't really say why (not counting Hoth Ski Patrol who was always the exception and not counting solo ranked either). Better than Hacks seems to do well in solo ranked and seem to be good all around. Faced Exodus in group ranked the other night. They beat us pretty bad, but we were a pickup team. They're also frustrating to face in regs too, especially because of their really-hard-to-kill healer Jolly'Oh, but it still seems like players like him and his Sage-friend, Troll'Gee, are still the exception Pub side.
  2. Lol...yeah...Boss is no doubt the king of the regstars. No one runs more pug stompin, afraid-of-arenas teams than Boss does.
  3. And it continues. Imps who were on the Harbinger just a few weeks ago are now on the Bastion. I realize it's too difficult for everyone to transfer b/c of raiding and all but regs really are a lot better Imp side Bastion and way, way better on POT5. Try to transfer if you can. I simply couldn't stand it anymore so I left. And, that post by Elfanger is correct. Things will swing back and forth. The Imps' time will come again.
  4. I'll just say it: some of Goof's players are very rude in warzones, constantly berating people if they lose. Whenever I was on my Vanguard, which was rare, and saw certain Goof Troop people I generally just left b/c I knew I was going to be accused of something. Kinda hard to want to root for these guys. Want to know a classy guild? Hey I'm MVP. They rarely if ever berate pugs in warzones. It's why they are so respected. I'm done.
  5. You missed my point entirely. Having played against the best on the Bastion (I have basically left the Harbinger because I can't stand how bad Imp PVP is here) and having played against Goof and others in the first two weeks of arenas, I would be surprised to see them do well against the teams I mentioned above. Loss after loss after loss will send them into regs. You see, the grass is always greener....right? Mark my words, it will happen.
  6. Mark my words, remember this post and bookmark it for what I am about to write SHALL come to pass: Goof Troop will become a Regstar guild on the Bastion. You see, it's a pretty badly kept secret that Goof Troop is going to the Bastion to queue ranked Imp side (i've heard this from multiple people, including a Sentinel of theirs today). I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet. However, once Goof's teams face MVP, Vullesh's team, Core, Don't Panic and OPFOTM's team etc. they will do exactly what the OP here is frustrated that Ghost Infantry did: they will queue for regs on the Bastion because they either won't get many pops or they will be repeatedly beaten by the above listed teams. Oh they'll have excuses as to why they became Regstars on the Bastion but it will happen.
  7. Imps lose all the time on the Harbinger. Very balanced on the Bastion. So, like others said, it's your server.

    Solo Ranked Q

Solo ranked queue is also dead on the Harbinger. I wait about 15 minutes on the Bastion, sometimes more, sometimes less.
  9. Nice story you've told yourself there bro but it isn't even close to reality. Pretty sure you were always the one who ended looking like the idiot on the forums. If only you knew how many jokes you were the butt of in Mumble conversations.
  10. OMG. Really? You have the gall to say that? When I read that I literally spit my coffee out knowing your past. No one in the history of SWTOR has made themselves look more like an idiot on the forums than OPFOTM. We all remember the many deleted forum posts of you appearing like a total dumb ***. Lukewarm Tauntauns, your old guild leader from Ascendancy, and a few other zinger posts from old Harbinger days have all made you look pretty stupid. We're the ones who have had far more good reads from your brainless antics on the forums than this guy. Hardly any one takes you seriously.
  11. They seem to have multiple teams though. Don't always face this comp. They've even used Sages
  12. The REAL problem, and one that is entirely self-inflicted, is that the Australian guys, including the OP, had this "brilliant" idea of combining the best PVPers from both sides during the Australian evening into Condemned. "No one will be able to beat us man! It'll be so cool!" Problem was you failed to think this through to completion for a PVE server. Where exactly did you expect any real competition to come from once you executed on this idea? Did you not understand the new matchmaking system? Rather than let rivalries form--which should be allowed to happen--you combined all those players who could've actually been the backbones of the very teams you are wanting to play, into one team. Makes. No. Sense. And now that your rating is high, the new matchmaking system will ensure that you are the LAST team chosen to play against those whose ratings are lower than yours if there are multiple teams in queue, hence why others in this thread got arena pops the very night you were sitting in queue. Solution? Go back to your old guild, practice what you preach, form teams not composed of the server's best and play.

    well....

OP is right. PVP aspect of the game is in trouble. I play on four servers. Only one had any noticeable boost in the PVP population but arenas already dying. EA is basically making every mistake I learned in my MBA classes not to make as a business. No wonder they were voted the worst company in America for the past two years. Rudderless. Clueless. Leaderless. HBR case study needs to be written about why they fail at everything.
  14. Transfer to the Bastion? Ranked pops during Oceanic evenings have been pretty good there. But it's not likely to recover here. Imp side during 3/4 of the day is back to being horribad. Goof Troop, WOX and that new Ninjas team are dominating ranked. No other real competition.
  15. So I was in a Novare Coast match this morning against a very strong Midian premade on my under-geared and neglected Vanguard (I generally play Imp on this server). It was frustrating to watch a pug team of 8 beat these guys. I think the Imp team had over 4 million combined damage and about the same in healing. Yet somehow they lost. A certain Sage from Goof Troop, who can be a total jerk, and whose name begins with a K and ends with an X, did, however, a fantastic job of directing the team to counter Midian. He was constantly directing us and telling us where to go, telling a Scoundrel to stay in stealth to block caps, telling us to expect an attack at west and not south, etc. Even though we were out-dps'd and out-healed, and there wasn't a premade amongst us, we somehow won. Question: On POT5 and Bastion the Imps are generally the better at strategy. Why do we Imps here just barrel in? Is there anyone with a brain on Imp side?
  16. Just wondering, is Wrath of Xedrix a dead guild? Never see them online anymore. Or, are you just waiting for 2.4? For much of the summer they would run two or three premades at a time. WOX was everywhere; now I rarely see them.
  17. I play on POT5 and Bastion too. While I have no doubt your guild would beat any guild on the Harbinger, nobody here is claiming they are better than Casual, MVP and Don't Panic.
  18. This is also untrue in my experience. Goof Troop has two healers, whose names I have forgotten at the moment, who have healed me on my Vanguard way more than I am used to receiving, and I hardly play that toon and I can guarantee you they don't know me.
  19. Although I mostly play Imp, I have been in quite a few warzones with Goof Troop people on my Pub toon. While I generally do not like facing them, little of what you write is true, especially the hacking accusation, which is just ridiculous. Most of them play objectives, especially those who play at night. And while definitely nothing like the better guilds on POT5 and the Bastion, a few of Goof Troop's players are nonetheless very good. Nor have I had a problem with High Valor.
  20. I actually think things are improving for the Imps, although this might just be the lull before 2.4 hits. I easily won five matches tonight against some inexperienced Pub players in 55s and didn't lose once in lowbies. We even beat a very good Pub premade (although, to be fair, they had the worst four Pubs on their team I've seen in some time).
  21. One thing that cannot be denied is that the amount of PVP is down, like way down. I made a note in February 2013 that there were usually 9 to 10 instances of each level 50 warzone on the Harbinger and 3 to 4 on POT5 on a given weeknight. We're down to 2 to 3 of each on the Harbinger and 1 to 2 on POT5. So we're talking about a roughly 66% decrease in warzones here. HOWEVER...the reasons why this is are just conjecture. I've seen just as many premades leave the game as pugs.
  22. Yeah, definitely some good players scattered about. But... can someone please explain to me why there are PVP-only guilds on this server that only do PVP? Saw a chat where someone was creating a new one of these. Why? Isn't this sort of like fighting to see who is the tallest sixth grader?
  23. There is simply no way Imp side TOFN could possibly be worse than it is for the Imps on the Harbinger.
  24. The number of people PVPing right now is low. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the lowest it's been since right before the first server merges back in the spring of 2012. I play on four servers and all of them are suffering right now (at least in terms of PVP). Bioware could jump up the number requirement for a match to start but I doubt that will happen. The PVP aspect of this game is not dead, but if arenas don't revive it, it will die.
