  1. Can't really say for guardian but for your shadow in pve you should be at 110% accuracy(slightly higher than that is fine like 110.2%) and you can lose quite a bit of that crit and put it into alacrity. Around 3200 crit is what you want. For pvp 105% accuracy is fine, really don't need more.
  2. You should use both honestly. Blade of the elements on opener then switch to awakened flame after your first cloak.
  3. Versatile Hilt/Armoring, Lethal Mods, and Adept, Quick Savant and Initiative enhancements to get your stats where they need to be. I do not however know the exact bis 306 ones are or the amount of each augment (crit, alacrity, and accuracy) to use. Should also be using crit crystals and accuracy/crit stim

  6. For me it all depends on your team. I don't hate odessen. I've had some pretty good matches on there. it's just you have to play objectives. if you don't, you lose. simple as that
  7. More than likely, if they do anything about assassin/shadow dps for 6.0, they'll overbuff it then overnerf it like they normally do.
  8. I can understand infiltration needed to be toned down a bit but not as much as they did. In the most practical sense, the only really raid utility infiltration brings is it's burst dps. In most cases that I've been in, you're not going to stealth rez someone in the middle of a MM or even VM pull, so don't call stealth rez a raid utility. You also shouldn't call infiltration's mobility a viable utility. Yes it does make a difference with being able to have more dps uptime on the boss, but it doesn't make a huge difference as some may think. And then now with the change to one of our utilities/abilities, effectively reducing our DR, is just absurd. Yes serenity needs love in the DR department. But infiltration shouldn't have to suffer for it. I love my shadow, and I'll continue to play my shadow till the game shuts down, but it just makes no sense that they finally had infiltration in a fairly good place, and then nerfed it to be less than desirable in raids again. Seriously, other than infiltration's burst and it's(current, not future)DR, what does the spec bring to the table for progression raiding?

  10. Do you accept regular recruiting as well or are you just looking for a rdps for progression right now? I have nim experience but just started playing pub side, so my toons are relatively low in level.

For me personally, I always pictured my force user toons, (consular, knight, and inquisitor) as being really young, my inquisitor being the youngest at 16 when she was brought to korriban, then my female consular and female knight being 17 when they arrive on tython. My warrior I picture being 19.
  12. I could been wrong here, I haven't done any pvp since 5.0 dropped(been away for a while) but I believe all 3 specs are plenty viable for unranked. Idk what is best and by how much though because I simply took an extended break from the game.
  13. You're complaining that they made a stance a passive ability? You're complaining that they removed shock and lightning from hatred even though you shouldn't have even been using either in hatred? And they removed phase walk and blackout, they didn't touch shroud. Overall, I don't like that they removed phase walk, but quite a few of the changes I'm ok with. Especially when you consider that right now, deception and infiltration are the highest parsing specs in the game, followed by IO and virulence. Edit: And we didn't quite lose shock and force lightning since tank assassins keep both abilities.
  14. Mercs are over performing but we all know when BW nerfs them, they will over-nerf them so let them have their 5.0 moment of glory.
  15. Because of infiltration's new ability, there won't be a new guide yet, plus no one is going to have a full set of BiS Tier 1 gear yet. Probably in early January there should be updated guides.
  16. You shouldn't be using TK throw at all if you are dps. It was always just a gimmick for dps shadows. Now I haven't done any heroics, flashpoints, wz's, or ops since 5.0 dropped this week but for just messing around, I can say I like infiltration's ability to just pretty much have none stop burst against random trash mobs. I know they'll end up tweaking the resource management in a later patch but overall at first glance, I like the changes to infiltration(for the most part. Losing pw still sucks)
  17. Since they are taking an assassin ability and make it for sorcs only, how about lowering the cd on force speed for assassins only?
  18. I really don't see how assassins and shadows having phase walk makes them too mobile. In 4.0 the cooldown on force speed was increased to compensate for gaining phantom stride. Now that phasewalk is being taken away from assassins/shadows will it's cooldown be reduced? Especially since deception/infiltration so heavily relies on using phantom stride for the 2(3 with utility) static charges so for them to use ps just for mobility is a dps loss.
  19. All 3 specs are viable if you are a regstar, but I agree with Atox in that I'd only consider playing darkness for ranked, whether it was group or yolo. Time will tell how the changes in 5.0 will affect us though.

I'm sure this has already been asked some where in this forum but I'd like to know if : 1: Since the gear pieces are based on your advanced class and not your stance if it's going to give you like a token piece to trade to a vendor or is it going to be a random piece you get(like if you are a dps assassin and you get a shield)? Or if say you get a mainhand, you get two, one for tanking, one for dps, but you need to pick which one you want. This is what most confuses me, is how the gear drops are going to actually work if they are just based on your advanced class. 2: Another thing that concerns me is the RNG factor for the gear drops. It might not be so bad at the lower command rank levels but when you get to the point where it takes a while to get to the next crate, no one wants to get the same item they don't need 3 crates in a row. I understand you can disintegrate any pieces you don't want to help get to the next pack but I can see it being very frustrating to people. I know I'd be frustrated if I really needed X item but keep getting Y over and over.
  21. I don't totally hate the new system, but they need to remove the rng from it. As someone posted somewhere, way back in 1. whatever they had rng based gear drops and then the original BW team got rid of it because it didn't work. I feel if they keep the RNG factor in place, it will kill this game.
  22. I'd say Shadow and Assassin tanks are probably number 1 right now and if not they are a VERY close 2nd to PT's. I know Revan HM has been nerfed quite a bit but this group had double sin tanks.

  24. I believe, judging by the armor, and what you can preview in game right now, those guards are from Nathema.
  25. I think if I remember right, Nadia is suppose to be older than Kira, Jaesa, or Ashara. Ashara is 19, I know that.
