  1. Yeah I used to roam around my ship too. I don't think they even care tbh. But would be an important step to bringing back a better vibe around SWTOR, making it feel more like home
  2. Well I play lethality, (I know, I'm a anti-fotm loser) it isn't that bad in ranked for solo queue purposes. It only suffers against a extreme amount of burst damage such as multiple deception sins or AP pts. It's viability is only even considered since it has the best off heals in game atm with the upkept application of your kolto probe,kolto infusion and the use of the buffed daigonostic scan you can skank heal in a way that other dps can't. Of course this also means you will be focused and must improvise when your bout to die. In group ranked I only use my lethality operative against hatred/madness combos thx to the AOE reduction and dot reduction with your option to off heal. However against any other comp it isn't viable from what I've seen. The dps is fine in my opinion you just have to watch enemy cds and micromanage everything you do. Lethality actually has the same burst as concealment just its later on in the rotation and takes longer to set up,(and is also effected by cleanses and white damage negates T.T) you mostly have to pair lethality up with a burst class dps and have them open once you have set up your rotation which consists of dots toxic blast and lethal strikes buff. If you manage to do this properly you can destroy a madness/hatred comp. Other than that you can always reg star it up.

  4. Do some flashpoints get some planetary comms and get better mods and put them in moddable gear. If not use the greens given from quests they will bring you up to a decent gear level.
  5. Honestly it isn't our defensive cooldown that is our biggest problem in arenas at this point, it is that our defense-offensive ratio is off. Since the orbital strike nerf our damage has been shifted because we lack a gcd filler in 2/3 of the specs and forced us to rely on using other tactics to get away from melee instead of using orbital as a area denial. There have been several good changes to sniper but there has also been more changes that hurt us. Example in 2.9 they fixed rollbang which was the only way for sab/eng to punish melee for sitting on us. Now I predominately play engineering and have stopped playing my sniper currently due to changes in 3.0. If you are not playing engineering and are playing marksmanship you are currently having problems because marksman is a all white damage spec and suffers dearly against all melee classes atm ( in fact in some cases you feed their damage aka riposte ) this had always been the case but has only become a problem lately due changes in other classes specifically the buffing of damage or defense. Currently the only viable spec for consistent and potent damage is lethality (even more so in 3.0 with the addition of all of eng's defensives) and lethality is terrible defense wise. So right now sniper is a pick your poison type of class every class can outperform it in some way and sniper no longer excels. All in all sniper hasn't been nerfed super hard it just hasn't been brought up to the new standard of the meta. Btw sorry bout the structuring doing this on my phone. TLDR- We are no longer fotm

  7. If you were leaving as a powertech or even sniper I could understand this. However to leave now when vengeance is actually getting interesting seems to me to be a waste. You see vengeance come 3.0 is no longer just about getting ravage up as quick as possible. They are changing vengeance so that your dots actually do damage now and can be applied to multiple targets with sweeping slash. This change makes them more of a dot spec which I always thought was lacking in the veng. If you are rethinking leaving at vengeances peak go to this link and read it all as I have. Now I will go over the information you have supplied. I have known for a long time about alacrity for vengeance as have many people on pot5, at the time the BiS method of achieving the needed alacrity is one item with alacrity and the Microfilament earpiece that has power/alacrity. Many of these gearing tips will come and go the same goes for the arkanian 2 set which increases ravage damage by 8%. These will all likely change in 3.0 with the influx of a dot oriented play style and the new 6 set bonuses. However seeing as you want to notify the public of this change be my guest, but please at least try 3.0 so that you can see the effects it has with the new changes.

  9. But **** talking in pvp is fun. Example, you see a wild Okiko frolicking at a node first you must mark your territory and stealth cc him, then you talk in say chat about how **** he is. Then if the wild Okiko is mad enough he will instead of informing his team of your presence he will A) leave the war zone or B) break the cc and try to fight you. This is where you either attack Okiko or cc him again and tell him he is a noob. If you attack Okiko you must make sure to only use your basic attack to kill him otherwise it won't be effective ( remember to heal yourself, you won't have to do it often) at the point of Okiko's death you must always make sure to cap and then stand next to the spawn area. When Okiko spawns you will stealth cc him and continue to do so until he stands there and does nothing but type in chat all match. If you choose to cc Okiko and cap the node you must then run off and come back once Okiko stops talking to himself and caps and repeat the process. This is why **** talking is fun.

  12. Well I mean considering the way before you had options pretty much with this its dot classes or nothing if your dps. Since no other class can compare to a madness sins overall dps cause of tab dot. Sure highest damage done can be gotten by burst specs but dps and damage done are almost all madness sins. Don't really care but competitive only for the dot classes you should have said.
  13. Have you even played this game since 2.6? Cause I mean it's not that guardian is the best dps it's that it is impossible to kill a well played one with a healer backing him. But it's dps is still top of the barrel so nice try.
  14. It's not the fact that they removed it, it's the fact that their reasoning for doing so is absurd. They said they removed it because of lack of people using it. If something isn't being used enough by your standards in a game you mark it as old content and leave it. It's the same as spending the time removing pre 2.0 operations because nobody uses them. Your spending time and money to remove a system you think nobody was using. If nobody is really using it does nothing more than benefit bioware since they don't have to pay to remove it.

  18. Pvp necro is the best. Not like pvp changes between patches or nothing.
  19. Only thing I could see from what I watched is make sure to use mass mind control a little more and not just when taking damage. It's cd is low enough that the 30% reduction it gives you can be used for the AOE taunt for the groupwide damage reduction. Now say if the team is trying to do a hard cleave on you cause they know you've wasted resil and saber ward then yeah keep it. Also maybe try to avoid going downstairs and just go through them with blackout. You lose visibility if you go downstairs. UI choices are just Playstyle if you like your comp set up like that it's fine if you want to have it look like someone else's then go for it doesn't effect gameplay if you are used to it. Edit: Watched another video and one a little harder. Don't use project and spec out of double project. Project costs to much force compared to its damage. Double strike hits harder and costs less and almost procs your force technique every use. The only reason to ever use project would be on a target that has you rooted away from them and they are within finishing range, that is about the only time and even then your dots or force in balance could do that better.

  21. Thor you back bro? I got GM of arsenal if you want it back. Also zu if you need a new healer I'm bout to have full 180/186 set bonus gear on Lorhah. However what I do kinda depends on what cavy does since he wants to tank. You could also end this argument by dueling each other in PVE gear since all epeen contests end with a duel.
  22. You could make it so you only get pops against your own advanced class. That would be great for inflating your epeen. Farming people of the exact same AC and calling them bad if they lost to you.
  23. Your system encourages win trading heavily. People who don't care about their ratings would gladly go the long haul and simply give up since they still get a +rating. There should never be a E for effort in pvp it just supports bad players. It's like adding bolster to the ranked system. In the end the people with top rating wouldn't be the best per say but those with the most time on their hands.
  24. Most of the AOE damage is avoidable anyways since you can intercede back and leap to the boss. The problem with veng/vig right now is pvp wise it has the best DCDs in game since most pvp damage is burst or dot damage and seeing as enraged defense has no rate limit it will heal for about 30k+ each time if used correctly. Also endure pain no longer gives the 15% reduction enraged defense does now. Me specifically I don't like the change since I got more healing before 2.8. However people in PVE are having troubles now since rate limit doesn't matter in PVE duration is key in PVE, what should have been done is keep the same duration, little smaller heals but add a rate limit. That would balance pvp and keep PVE fine since with a 30-40s duration your getting a good amount of the heals. It also makes it so the 15% reduction is worth it in the long run which it isn't as of now.
  25. Sorcs have light armor and have a 2% reduction buff in their tree. Mercs have heavy armor with a 4% reduction buff in their tree. Operatives have medium armor with a 4% reduction buff in their tree. The fact that sorcs take the most damage isn't even questionable. It doesn't feel like it all the time (until you are stunned with force barrier off cd) because sorcs have a +8 heal recieved buff. You will notice it more when you have a toon like my merc on you and are being blasted for 8-12k consistently. Bubble also adds mitigation so you notice less of the damage you are actually taking. However when your force hits a critical level you can't ignore the damage cause most of it isn't being buffered by your heals and you have to choose between killing yourself or taking a chance that their dps will decrease overtime.
