  1. I think Firebrand hit the launch servers to promote her anarchy agenda......
  2. Well that makes me a sad panda Thanks for the update.
  3. Well said, people whine a lot. It doesn't matter how much content they made, folks would burn through it and complain the devs didn't do enough. It's much easier to play content than it is to make it........ To the OP, you seem concerned about "wasting" $15/month. Umm....I bet if you look at other things you spend $15 on you don't get nearly the fun you can out of a month of SWTOR. Movie - 2 hours, G&T made with good Gin, about the same......if $15/month is really that much of a burden perhaps playing video games really shouldn't be a priority. There's more to the game than PVE storyline as well I might point out. Anyhoo........
  4. I thought there was a 12x xp bonus going on if you were a subscriber? I convinced my brother to re-activate his account as he could level his characters faster but when he subbed up and I logged on his character there was no longer a 12x bonus. Did this change or are there some hoops to jump through to enjoy this benefit?
  5. I'm a big fan of Hatred, I like the DoT damage and the passive healing from it. But Deception is also good, really more which style you like. But for me, i'd recommend Hatred.
  6. Did you try contacting support to let them know, a 24 hour interruption of otherwise consistent subscription seems like something they could work around? Ya, that would annoy me as well.
  7. Disagree with the OP, i like the new conversation style and the throwback to KoToR dialogue, there is still plenty of cinematic conversations, just when they need to be. To me this streamlined the quest process which frankly I found quite tedious having to sit through a cinematic even for a relatively minor quest lines.
  8. Couldn't agree more with the OP, seems like a new fun game again that I want to play and not just grind stuff. Like the story, I REALLY like being able to use whatever companion I want in whatever role i want. Soooooo sick of Talos Drellik if I need a healer. Building an army and making connections, things are fun again
  9. So I have a 60 mara, with about 190/192 gear in most slots. I want to start doing pvp, but when I look at the pvp gear to buy with standard warzone comms (which is all I have) the gear is much lower value. Is the trade off for Expertise so great that it is better to pvp with the starting pvp gear over 190/192 PVE gear?
  10. Treek is a highly effective companion, seems to be the best healer out there which my tank loves. What my tank does not love is Treek’s high pitched and high volume battle cries in the annoying language of the Ewoks. OMG the most annoying sound in the entire game after 5 minutes of it. Please adjust this in some manner as I find this companion very hard to work with.
  11. $15/month is a joke, I spend more than that going to the movies to entertain myself and wife for 90 minutes. I get way more than 90 minutes/month out of Swtor. I have a hard time believing that anyone who cannot/will not pay $15/month can/will pay $9/month. The path to subscription is being willing to pay for a service, this game wasn’t free to make. Sorry to be so negative but c’mon folks......
  12. Is it crass to support my own suggestion? Maybe but I’m doing it anyways.....
  13. Currently when I create a new character I have to go in and reset all the hotkey bindings to my standard layout from the default. I like how I can save a screen layout with my bars where I want them, but it would be nice to also have my hotkeys saved in a specific configuration as well with that layout so that I do not have to do this whenever I make a new character.
  14. Ok, thanks, was hoping to be able to just upgrade to the latest expansion and get it int he mail, but looks like only if I pre-ordered. I will hit up the cartel bazaar, do I have to do the for each toon or once I buy one is it in my “collections”?
  15. I see them available in the GTN for ridiculous prices, but can they not be purchased some other way? I have reactivated an old account that has not been active since before holostatues were available. I’m not sure if the expansions were purchased for this account, would purchasing them then provide a holostatue for all the characters on that account?
  16. Ya, I was hoping to get it working without having to use bootcamp though, it’s a pain to switch between operating systems. I almost got it to work, it’s just the combo of Shift + Mousewheel wasn’t working. The graphics are toned downed when running it virtually but it was running perfectly smooth. Performance wise, it was fine. But there were interface issues like the mouse wheel thing and also when I right clicked on the screen to control my direction in game it would pan straight up and start spinning until I moved the cursor again. So close, yet so far…..
  17. Ok, so exiting coherence fixed the main issue. Now the Issue i have is that the Shift+Mousewheel doesn’t seem to work. Not sure how to fix that.
  18. People who say “Use Bootcamp” are ignoring the fact that bootcamp kinda sucks to have to use. Once it’s working it works, well in bootcamp not in coherence at least, but it’s not fun. It is a pain to set up and use. A mac version of the game would be MUCH easier to use and make for a more enjoyable experience for mac users. There are plenty of games, some of them pretty well known, that run just fine on macs. I have not seen any hard numbers on mac vs PC users, but where I live most people use Macs over PCs. I don’t think it’s such a small number as to not be worth it. And it can be done, whatever folks seem to want to say on these forums. But it’s a lot of work I imagine and I get the feeling SWTOR is still reeling from a fairly botched launch (2 years later) with limited features that they are still trying to fix and something of this scope may just be beyond them.
  19. So I am a Mac user running parallels to run SWTOR. When I reboot my machine into windows using bootcamp it works just fine. But if I try to open SWTOR while booted as a mac, it runs windows in coherence mode, runs SWTOR, but my keyboard commands and mouse do not work properly: Mouse: The screen pretty much just spins at first, then it stops working all together after I alt tab out and then come back. Although if I click on a power in my action bar that works, but nothing else does. I could not find any mouse controls in preferences within swtor to address this. Keyboard: Again worked initially, but when I switched out of SWTOR to check parallel settings and came back, my keyboard no longer worked. When I hit a button, it made an error sound and did not do anything. Any advice? Real advice please as opposed to get a PC
  20. One, your comment is a waste of time. And pointless. If you felt it was a waste of time, why bother taking time out of your precious day to respond? Makes no sense. Two, spacebar speeds up conversations not travel time. it may skip the cinematic, but it still takes you to a loading screen and does not actually remove the number of steps in the travel process, which as far as I can tell are pointless. You can take a shuttle straight from the fleet to coruscant, skipping many of these steps. How about making that option available for all locations, not just coruscant. That's my point and I doubt I'm the only person who finds it annoying. In fact I recall penny arcade devoting a comic to it when the game first came out. Anyhoo, my 2 cents.
  21. Why must there be mission terminals scattered across the fleet? Some aren't even on the main station. It is very confusing to run FP missions where there are multiple turn in points, or flash points where you may have missed a quest giver. Why not link them all up? Anywhere you can turn in a FP mission you can also pick it up, and it talks to whoever needs to? It is currently confusing and an unpleasant way to have to get missions as well as turn them in when I have to fly around the fleet. Btw, it should go without saying that when you exit an FP you should be able to turn in your missions right there and not have to hunt down where to go, or take a shuttle and 2 elevators to get there. Then have to take a flight to whatever planet you are questing on after a 6 step process to get where you are going after you are done with your fleet missions. It was kinda cool the first time, but 2 years later it's like being forced to watch an old TV show you could care less about. Makes the game feel very stale and uninventive. Keep travel times down and it will not remind us of these negative aspects of SWTOR.
