  1. I think Aisthesis is a pretty cool guild. Eh kills Nightmare bosses and doesn’t afraid of anything.
  2. Lol, not trying to insult but I work 40 hours a week and have other hobbies. Guess I'll just hope that someone has enough free time to run a bunch of parses and make a presentation to get Van / PT to be more fun and involve less hair-pulling frustration stemming from being second class in virtually every regard.
  3. PVP: Tactics. Load Missiles, run up pulse gen charges, pop Battle Focus and Stim. Dump everything on someone and pray it's enough. PVE: 2 / 22 / 22. Keep up Incindiary and Gut. Spam a lot of hammer shots. Try to get enough stacks of pulse gen to use it each CD.
  4. 1. Currently almost no one takes Plastique or the top end of the Assault tree due to how low the damage is for a 36 pt talent, and the survivability / support talents in the Assault tree are very weak, making full Assault builds very rare - especially in PVP. It is widely considered to be a broken tree for PVP and PVE, most players only dabbling in it to make hybrids. How is this going to be addressed? 2. We are widely considered to be one of the least competitive classes in serious PVP due to lack of burst damage as DPS, lack of survival tools comparative to other classes as Tank, and overall lackluster abilities in comparison to other classes who are performing the same roles of Tanking or DPS. The general consensus is "a Vanguard can do that, but a Guardian / Sentinel / etc can do it better". With arenas around the corner and very few people looking to take Vanguards or PTs on their team due to how poorly we competitively preform, how are you going to address Vanguards offering something worthwhile in competitive PVP? 3. Are there any plans to have Adrenaline rush heal past 30% for non-tanks? Currently holding us inside of 30% holds us at execute range, making the ability very weak for PVP, as popping a stim to try and save yourself from an execute just negates pushing the button altogether.
  5. Nah bro there was the guy last week who was arguing that Tactics / AP was going to be TOP TIER. Oh man, the irony. I love seeing a WZ recount where I get 1 mil damage and my biggest hit was 5k. Clearly the launcher talent needs to be changed to an ability that allows you to fire all the missiles at once, and maybe then we could kill someone
  6. Lol, and who is talking about logical inconsistencies? You're either going towards balance or away from it. Throwing qualifiers in to try and sound right doesn't change what's happening in-game. People who spend zero time investing into PVP gear have better stats in PVP than people who do. Please link some "mathmagic" posts to prove me wrong, otherwise, my own experience dictates what I know to be true. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zone_of_proximal_development The level of inherent imbalance exceeds the zone of proximal development. Would you play a game you cannot win? Could you learn anything from a game you cannot win except that the only winning move is to not play? Yeah, just like the % to get a crit / proc / etc gets rolled every time someone uses an ability and that percentage can be higher than others. If someone's rolling rigged dice, or dice / cards / slots / etc that WILL come up winning numbers more often than mine, how is that not an accurate comparison? Luck is out of the control of the player by definition. That's why it's luck.
  7. Bolster's intention of creating an even playing field does nothing but create a more uneven playing field. Without an even playing field, you're not playing a game, you're just participating in a rigged outcome. If you went to Vegas and they "bolstered" everyone's chances of winning at the table, no matter how "skilled" at poker you were, how would it feel when the guy's pair of 2's were "bolstered" to a full house to beat your three of a kind?
  8. There's nothing skillful about me pushing a button and hitting for 4-5k and him pushing a button and hitting for 8k+. Nor is there anything skillful about me pushing a button and getting 25% DR, and him pushing a button and getting 50% DR + 30% speed + Invis. But really I won't even ***** about class differences: The effect that "skill" has is greatly determined on there being an even playing field, class imbalances aside. BW has failed in their efforts to create one. It's not even a rock-paper-scissors format. It's just straight up broke. Look at the state of WZs, look at the state of PVP. If you're going to say bolster isn't broken and is working as intended, please go ahead tell me why it is the way it is, because pretty sure it is costing BW more money in lost subs than it is making them. In the end, that's what they should care about.
  9. I can see you're having a hard time looking at a Sent with a particular set of gear, then being raped by a Mara with similar HP and not understanding that he is probably running the same level of gear.
  10. Lol try inspecting allies who are running the system.
  11. Honestly I'd quit all complaints if it even felt like a remotely even playing field. But go figure every time I inspect someone before a WZ who has HP in the 32-33k range (not a tank either), they're never rocking a single piece of Conq gear. Always fully augmented PVE 69's / 72's. "But it takes more work to get~" And full Conq is just handed to you? The people in full Conq are doing good to scrape 29k HP at best with the same Expertise and lower primary / secondary stats as those wearing PVE gear. Don't take my word for it - stand in the WZ and swap some of this stuff around. Inspect people. It's not hard. What's hard (and frustrating) is killing or playing against someone who has a significant advantage against you at all times regardless of skill level because they farmed content that has nothing to do with PVP.
  12. You enjoy frustration and masochism.
  13. My 27k HP and 1500-ish Expertise (full Partisan and 2-3 Conq pieces) has a hard time fighting against someone with 33k+ HP, 2000 Expertise, and better stats...in PVE gear. Conq gear takes me from 63's to 65's - a negligible increase for a huge amount of work farming ranked coms. Compare that to people rocking PVE 69's and 72's, particularly the weapons. So aside from PVPing for PVP's sake, remind me what I can do in PVP to compete on an equal playing field? Answer: nothing. Reminds me of vanilla / BC WoW when PVP gear didn't exist. Funny part is they could implement an identical system (since so much is copied already, lol entire Knight / Warrior class) and it would be fine. People in PVE could still put out base numbers higher than PVP gear due to itemization. But when they get "free" expertise added to their stats / gear, what's the point of expertise gear? Again: there is no point. Could live with it if number 1 were fixed. Roll a PT / Vanguard and tell me if you feel balanced. Could easily add more game types without adding new maps. Huttball changed to CTF would be the easiest. An albatross that an insanely small percentage of even the PVP community uses. Why? Because there often isn't a large enough pop on the server to support it and they will only pop if you coordinate with other people to queue at certain times for them to pop. Cross-server queues will fix them.
  14. I have neither the time nor the desire to enter into a *********** back and forth with a contrarian who keeps moving the goal posts. "Thoughtful" suggestions have been posted time and time again. Strong debate tactics going on in here tbqh. Hurp now it's team on team. So tell me Sun Tzu, if I'm supposed to have help locking you down, what about when you have help that is guarding, peeling, CCing, etc? Moving the goalposts does nothing but complicate what is a simple issue. As I have stated before: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=6561034#post6561034 http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=6567642#post6567642 Go figure that the 12m isn't 1s of movement, the 12m is a mile when you don't have to stop to cast - you don't NEED to cast to continue to spam Cloud, Slow Release, and E-Pack, all while getting constant UH procs and barely using energy. No, really big text because you apparently are having a hard time reading that a Scoperative is literally untouchable against one person. I can stand on a Sorc or Mando and interrupt. Ironically, both of these classes ACTUALLY have to cast something most of the time for healing output (moreso the Mando) but go figure trying to even reduce the amount of output a Scop is doing by offering pressure - you can't.
