  1. It all stems from the skill floors of the specs. Concentration has the lowest, so better players mostly go for the "harder" specs. But Concentration also allows for maximal output in almost every fight of the game, which is only exploited by the few skilled players that run it, hence that impression that most Concentration users have a hard time keeping up with the other specs.
  2. Flexibility not as in the ability choice you get, but how much adaptative it gets in real situation. While Watchman might struggle in on & off fights due to re-applying dots, and while Combat is a very precise machinery that doesn't allow a buff to go missing at a certain point with jeopardizing the rotation or wasting a ton of damage, Concentration is an all rounder that absorbs any variation in the fight situation presented by the boss. Maybe you'd label it as stability, I consider it flexible with regards to the boss roster.
  3. As far as my experience go, Leap doing its thing is manageable except for one encounter in which it's absolutely unplayable (Revan). The main issue with Combat is that it requires a very specialized gear to get to alacrity threshold. Hidden Power is just an extra bit that shortens the opener by 2 very weak GCDs. I think Watchman has a legacy reputation of being the strongest (always has been on paper, but harder to pull off in about half of the encounters) and has the extra healing factor, which is nice. That's what makes it go-to.
  4. It's far more flexible and reliable than Combat and Watchman actually.. It peaks lower, but always performs decently. The cancel abuse is objectively impossible to pull off consistently without macro on the long run / outside of dummy parsing, so it's not a skilled mechanic.
  5. Yes that's what I've been saying... And said exploit can be pulled in raid... They honestly made weird things. I missed the 6 to 4 centering from Zealous Leap, which by itself denies the exploit rotation. I guess we'll go back to old rotation, since the new 7.0 one (which used the extra focus mod) will be less powerful than opting for Criticality. Overall, still gonna be a nerf with the crit dmg reduction I think.
  6. Well, Concentration parses the highest, which is why they're nerfing it. But it only does so because people are clicking off Zen after using it to instantly get the ability to generate Centering. Doing so isn't so bad for the rotation as the effect is only a loss of Focus that gets offset by the second usage of Zen. Basically, they get an extra autocrit, complete uptime for the Zen implant bonus (+5% damage) by abusing an autoclicker to click Zen's buff off. It is what should be removed because it cannot be pulled off by playing normally (no autoclicker), especially in ops context. And they're using the high parses from those abusers to determine that a nerf is needed...
  7. I understood litterally nothing about what you just said. Are you sure we're talking about Concentration Sentinel here ? Because I have no idea what "Smash spec" refers to in that context.
  8. Honnestly, can you just make Zen/Berserk impossible to click off so that Concentration/Fury can't abuse it and proc it once every 6 abilities (instead of 12). A 12-ish second cooldown would also work out. I mean, they're definitely not doing it manually to make it that consistent with it not being at a fixed position in the buff tray.
  9. Then it's not a level sync issue, but a difficulty issue.
  10. - Ratings are here to create diminishing returns. It is quite important actually in order to avoid some ridiculous builds or actual balance issues. - Given how some stats work (alacrity and accuracy), the current rating system allows for very minimal loss of gear value - The gearing system allows almost full customization if you mix two gear sets. The only thing effectively enforced is, for example, mainhand (crit) and offhand (alacrity) for DPS roles.
  11. This is close to 5.X-6.X yet it got exploited by min-maxxers in ops. The framework wasn't faultproof so they tried to iterate on it.
  12. Well, the increase in stats from 75 to 80 was arround 60-65% so losing half of it when going back is almost accurate (should be arround 40%)
  13. TF you mean, this gearing system is objectively one of the best they did.
  14. The old version had very weird minmax effects in endgame. Tho changing it is overkill (for the moment) since they removed the endgame gearing liberty we enjoyed in 6.X, it is also more future proof once the %ages are properly done.
  15. I'd rather keep the rotation, but have a them make a balancing pass on FPs. Right now, sure, when you queue, you get 1/7 Umbara and it's sad, but if they put all of them, who knows how many "Umbaras" there are ? Assault on Tython LB was really tight last week for people that just got their gear reset, this week we have Umbara. Who knows the actual odds of having a bad FP if we put everything in the rotation ? Re : Low level characters - they should make a rotation for sub 50 players.
  16. Respect is not about getting what you want.
  17. https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=10006395#post10006395 Done.
  18. Ho **** you're right, they added it to Zen effect. Well. That's insanely strong.
  19. The third choice in ability tree for Concentration / Fury, named "Criticality" which claims to increase crit chance by 25% under Zen actually grants an autocrit on the first ability after Zen. Be mindful of that when using it (it's still the best choice). Edit : After actually checking in deep, it does BOTH. You get 125% bonus crit chance for your first ability under Zen and 25% for the remainder of Zen.
  20. Hi, My critical damage multiplier is down 5% : I have 73.93% due to : - 50% base - 12.93% from critical rating - 11% from Skills/Buffs. However, I should have +16% from skills/buffs : 1% from companion unlock, 15% from the Shii-Cho Mastery passive granted to Concentration Sentinels. It clearly says "Increases armor penetration and critical hit damage by 15% and Force attack damage by 3%". I have yet to be able to reliably test out if the damage actually misses in ability damage, but that's quite complex to check. Edit : It appears the actual bonus should be 26%. There is the "Fervor" sentinel passive that gives 10% critical damage. So my guess is that Shii-Cho mastery simply isn't applied.
  21. The BiS for lvl 70 is actually different from the real BiS, because all enhancements have to be swapped (you use Proficient instead of Initiave for Crit for instance). Those are really unnatural builds cause you may gain 300 crit, but at the expanse of a 500+ power losss, which is litterally gone due to sync. That's ******** in my book.
  22. Anni Tacts are bad and Fury is perhaps the highest DPS of the Mara atm tho.
  23. Not rage though, everything goes smoothly atm Rage-wise so it's kinda useless to add more. And there are already utilities in place for additional rage if needed.
  24. It's 25% bonus for [stacks] Spells, not [stacks] * 25% bonus for 1 Spell.
