  1. I don't understand why you think legacy bank violates this rule. The credits are in legacy bank and NOT on the character. So the credit cap can be applied according to the current rules. Whatever credits that a character has in excess of cap will go into escrow. Any credits in legacy bank can be locked away. This does not violate any existing rules, because the credits are NOT on that character and legacy bank does NOT currently exist and therefore doesn't have any rules regarding it yet. ALTERNATIVE: Any credits in legacy bank can be pulled onto the character, as long as the amount pulled doesn't push the character to hit his credit cap. Any amount over will remain in the legacy bank (basically you can only pull up to the amount that makes you hit credit cap). Again, this does not violate any existing rules. And it still plays well with escrow transfers, because the largest use case of those is to temporarily allow you to exceed the credit cap so you can do things like buy expensive things on the GTN.
  2. You're saying, you've been asking people to provide a way to implement legacy bank without breaking the rules already set. You've said people have been unable to provide such an answer because it breaks the rules you've stated. Then, on the question of whether those rules need to be changed, you say they don't need to. Kind of seems like if they do want to implement legacy bank according to the rules you've stated, they'd need to. But more importantly, legacy bank doesn't need to break the rules. The rule is, characters are capped at 300k (or whatever the current cap is. I remember it used to be 250k, but they changed the rule, right?). With legacy bank, they could continue to cap characters at 300k. YOU are the one that made the rule that credit in legacy bank could not be locked out. So if that's a restriction that they want to adhere to, then of course they'll need to come up with new rules on how legacy bank should be handled when moving from subscriber to F2P. But it's not currently an existing rule, because there is no such thing as a legacy bank.
  3. What's wrong with maintaining the current credit cap for each character when a player moves to F2P, and then imposing a cap on the credits on legacy storage? You seem to be insistent the rules must be adhered to exactly as you laid out in your post. The rules can be whatever Bioware wants them to be. I previously went from subscriber to F2P. Then Bioware changed how data crystals worked or something. When I logged into one of my chars while F2P, he had over a million in credits available. Bioware made the decision that in that refund, the credit cap was temporarily bypassed. My point being, the credit cap rules are whatever Bioware wants them to be, and I've just shown an example when that was the case, so it's not a reason not to have legacy bank.
  4. Are 240 crafted barrels/hilts best or second best in slot? Are 240 crafted earpieces/implants/relics best or second best in slot? Are 240 crafted mods or enhancements best or second best in slot? Just wondering if there's anything I should be buying to have performant gear (bolsters well). Is anything crafted worth buying for PVP? One annoying thing is that I have noticed is that some of my 208 gear bolsters better than 216 or 220 gear. *** is that about?
  5. The old fire pull and score, of course. It's like a pick six in football. This match was pretty much all fire pull scores: http://imgur.com/y797iVD
  6. At least you get more than one global cooldown - Powertech
  7. I'm just really amazed at the response. People really care about earning defender points and medals? I thought the point of playing warzones was to win the warzone. If you're just in a warzone to farm CXP, aren't there better/faster ways, like Bestia or Fracture?
  8. Hmmm, I would imagine it's pretty difficult for the code to gauge participation. Maybe if the opposing team holds 2 nodes, it should stop awarding defender points? I'd personally rather pull goalie than have 2 guys guarding a node when we're losing. And if you care about winning the warzone, you'd guard a node even if you wouldn't earn defender points.
  9. And also, if it wasn't like how you stated, all those 25% XP boosts we use would mean we're earning XP 4x slower than if we didn't use it
  10. They could just, you know, do it; make everyone's stats bolster to the same values in PVP.
  11. Sooooo, you agree? The point of the OP's post is that everyone should be on the same playing field in PVP. Sounds like you agree.
  12. Agreed. That's why I mention stripping "stop words" only, or to be more precise, the list of words they're ignoring which are causing the problem.
  13. I've been a software engineer in Silicon Valley for a while and I wouldn't necessarily assume that allowing 2-letter words in a search service would be prohibitively inefficient. But let's just say this is true. There are still things you can do: 1) Perform shift left click searches as ID searches rather than text searches. This would have the added benefit of showing results for exactly what you're looking for (ie, if the title of an item is also a substring of the title of another item, it would only show the item you're looking for) and would perform faster than a text based search. 2) Strip the 2-letter stop words automatically for the user. This is super simple to implement. When they hit search, remove the stop words from the search input box and display the results. I would wager a guess that nearly all users are doing this exact thing every time they encounter this issue.
  14. This was a good idea long time ago and still a good idea now. Make the VIP area truly VIP by adding end game mission terminals.
