  1. It also didn't seem to count for Flashpoint Rally 1 when we did it a couple of days ago.
  2. Thank you so much for finding that. That gives incontrovertible evidence that it's a bug, and it should be really easy to fix. I just hope they offer some way round the problem for those who have already played though, not realising there was supposed to be a saboteur option. I am very glad I ran the story first on a loyalist and then on another saboteur before doing it on my saboteur main, so I knew something was amiss.
  3. I realised after I posted that this was also the case with my sniper, but it fitted well (and I assumed at the time that it was a special case for the agent, since he was criticising the guy's acting and an agent would be very familiar with having to act out a role). My sorcerer didn't have any option to discuss things at all - every option (and there were far fewer of them) led to a fight.
  4. I've just had the same problem. I did it on a non-saboteur Assassin and he was offered the saboteur option to contact Jonas. Now I'm doing it on a saboteur Sorcerer and he's not being offered the option. I've reset the mission twice and each time I had no choice but to fight. (I ran off , which reset the fight, since I didn't want to be forced into a non-saboteur path.) I absolutely don't want to have him act like a loyalist. He's my most Republic-aligned imperial. I did it on a saboteur sniper with no problems, and a friend said it worked fine for his saboteur Powertech.
  5. This exactly. In addition, while it's a far smaller issue, our guild has always had a policy that members are only allowed to take items from the guild bank for personal use. Selling them on the GTN is forbidden because it deprives other members, who might need the items, for the sake of personal profit. In the past, if we have suspected that a member might be selling items we have checked the GTN listings to see if any were listed by that member, but now this won't be possible. Obviously it's not possible to display sellers' names in the general listings, but is there really no way to show the seller's name when clicking the item/credit button to display individual listings?
  6. While that would be awesome, it's not feasible. A lot of players complain that we don't get frequent enough or big enough story updates for the player characters. With the staff and budget that they have, creating companion stories of that magnitude in addition would be out of the question, unless you want one new season maybe every year or so.
  7. In the case of the Rakghoul vaccines, they don't stack because the new ones are bound to legacy and the old ones aren't. I came to the forums to post a query about whether this is intended or a bug. If it's intended, it's a very strange and unhelpful decision - almost every time I have joined a group for Eyeless or event world bosses someone in the group has forgotten to bring any vaccines, or is new to the event and doesn't know they need them. It's pretty commonplace for group members to hand out vaccines to those who don't have them, but this will now be impossible once we've used up what's left of the old ones. It'll mean groups will either have to wait for those people to buy vaccines or the people without them will have to choose between being incapacitated much of the time or leaving the group. I can't see why making vaccines freely available to group members would impact the economy in any way so I can only assume it's a bug.
  8. You are looking at the KotFE story, from the sound of it, as someone who has come to it after it was complete. It's a long story, but it was released one chapter at a time, and some of the chapters had some quite major bugs. I'm pretty sure the current story will also turn out to be pretty long when it's complete - there's quite a lot of it already. And, like KotFE, it's also being released a little at a time (though I admit the gaps between them are longer). I've no idea whether the trailer has brought in many new players this time, but there are plenty of old ones who come back for new expansions and I imagine a good trailer helps to entice them. But to return to the original topic of this thread, this game wouldn't be anywhere near as immersive without full voice-acting (I was hooked the first time my first character opened his mouth), but using AI for voices, even if some kind of contract could be worked out with the actors, is a pretty dangerous thing to get into, given what can be achieved illegally with AI, even by amateurs.
  9. We noticed in our guild that it only seemed to be affecting people in mainland Europe. Those of us in the UK were able to carry on playing throughout, while our guildmates were constantly vanishing around us.
  10. I was just musing about the guild thing. They'd have to be in their private guild for a month before they could access the guild bank, but in the long-term, if nothing gets changed, that might be worthwhile. But one thing that occurred to me is that this new restriction on members accessing the gb before they've been in a guild for a month is presumably to stop traders getting their customers to join a guild just for trading and then leave again. If that's the case, couldn't the same system be applied to trading items between guild members? Members who have been in a guild for over a month could be exempt from the tax when giving gifts to their fellow members, so long as no credits are exchanged. That would be a big help to guilds like ours that do rewards and giveaways, and would also enable guildies to be kind to fellow members, especially pref and f2p, who can't access guild banks. For that matter, is there any need to tax trades at all where no credits are exchanged? There has been talk of traders bartering to avoid using credits but, even if they're given a valuable item in exchange for the one they're 'selling', it can't generate any money until someone sells it for credits, at which point they'd get taxed. So I can't see why trading goods without credits would have any negative effect on the economy.
  11. I see two major issues with this suggestion (on top of the more minor ones that fire-breath has mentioned above). 1) F2p members can't access the guild bank. 2) In our guild at least, all available tabs have already been unlocked and are in use and fairly full. Trying to empty one for members to help themselves to rewards would be near impossible without selling or giving away a lot of the contents. How much of a dent in the credit sink would it make if trades between guild members were exempt from this tax? I don't know how things are in general but, in our guild, it's not uncommon for members to either donate items to each other or sell them at reduced cost, just in order to help each other out, rather than to make money for themselves.
  12. While I am fully in favour of taxes based on credit transaction, and I understand that there might be a risk of players trying to avoid them by bartering, taxing items directly, where no credits are involved sounds like it is going to penalise a lot of people who use trade perfectly innocently for non-commercial purposes. I personally have on a number of occasions gifted items to friends who are new players. Currently I am not short of credits (largely due to regularly capping out on tech frags and using them to buy and then sell rpms, if you want an example of something that may be contributing to people's wealth and thus inflation - and I realise saying that may make me unpopular), but many others who want to help out friends may themselves not have a great deal of money. It also penalises guilds. Our guild rewards top conquest scorers, holds regular social events with prizes, and does weekly giveaways. Now the guild will be taxed every week on conquest prizes and giveaways, and on every prize and giveaway in events, on top of the cost of providing all these things in the first place. Additionally, since f2p members can't access the guild bank, officers may sometimes take items out of the bank on their behalf and trade them to them, again incurring costs for the guild. This feels very much like a tax on incentives to to encourage players to be sociable.
  13. Glad to learn it's a known bug and that they plan to fix it. I tried recently to scan the gaming floor with 2 pub characters and found the pop-up ability didn't appear. Wasn't sure if the mission simply wasn't available any more since GS3 had ended.
  14. I am experiencing exactly the same thing (and on the same server), with the same details.
  15. I have just experienced exactly this problem. I was doing the GSI weekly for Galactic Seasons on Darth Malgus server (on a level 80 sorcerer/shadow, with the shadow loadout activated, in case that should somehow be relevant). I entered the cave system from the Imperial transport pad. In the second of the two caverns to the right of that entrance, despite standing right beside one of the volcanic metal nodes, my seeker droid was greyed out and it claimed it didn't detect anything in the area. I travelled to a stronghold and back and it was usable again but, within a few seconds, a message came up saying my seeker droid no longer detected anything. Travelling to another planet produced the same result when I returned. A couple of times (I tried going to different places and targeting different nodes) the droid stayed usable long enough for me to activate it, but the animation only showed the green aoe of the detection area. The droid itself was invisible. At the point where it should have dug up the metal, the disturbed ground animation appeared and the message 'Your seeker droid no longer detects anything' came up, but I didn't receive anything and the mission didn't update. After that the droid became unusable in that chamber again. Everything worked properly in the other three chambers.
  16. I've done this mission on two characters now. Both times the stones were not highlighted and, although I ran to one (or more) of the correct stones, the Scrabbler didn't appear. On the first character, logging out and back in fixed it, but on the second, that didn't work, neither did using qt points and travelling to a stronghold. Changing instance, as suggested by the poster above, did make it appear. (Both times, although the objective told me to withdraw and hide, after logging out/switching instance the Scrabbler appeared as soon as I returned, without me using any of the rocks.)
  17. If I weren't happily married irl it would have to be Theron. His values seem to align closely with mine and I love his mix of capability and vulnerability. I also love his voice. If he weren't around then I do very much like both Vector (I'm not bothered by his joining) and Talos. They're both very gentle people who would rather solve problems without violence, which is a big plus point for me. The only downside is that they're both Imperial loyalists and I'd have trouble with someone who very much supported a regime whose values are almost the opposite of my own.
  18. In this year's Nightlife event, the Emperor's machines are dropping fewer Kingpin chips, which is probably a good thing, but, in their place, 90% of their drops (as well as about 90% of Kingpin machine drops) now seem to be Golden Certificates. This is probably fine for new players but, as someone who has been doing Nightlife each year since its inception, I have already bought everything of interest from the vendors in previous years. The Golden Certificates are useless to me and I am fast approaching the cap in my inventory. How about introducing the possibility of exchanging certificates for chips (particularly Emperor's chips) at the prize vendors?
  19. I have this issue on one of my characters (all the others are fine) and yes he does have tokens. They, and the currency section they are in don't show up in his inventory, but I'm still able to use them. I just don't know how many he has.
  20. I've just encountered the exact same problem. The droid was knocked off the bridge during the Trandoshan boss fight and afterwards the button to resummon it was greyed out. I tried committing suicide by jumping off the bridge myself, thinking that everything would be reset after I rezzed, but the button remained greyed out. I have done this fp in solo mode many times in the past with no problems.
  21. I've just had Lana disappear in solo story too. I'm playing Republic side as a sage and I noticed she was gone shortly after the conversation where she and Tau were discussing possible reasons why the shield was up. I can't say if I mounted before noticing (I don't think I did), though I had mounted several times before then without any problems. (For the record, I have previously done this fp in solo story (before 7.0.1) repside on a sentinel and impside on a sorcerer and a sniper without encountering this issue. All three regularly used mounts where they were allowed.)
  22. While there may well now be a balance problem (I haven't tried it since 7.0 came out), I'm not sure that the number of droids is the issue. We have always been absolutely mobbed by droids in this battle but, before, so long as you were careful, it wasn't a problem. Someone has mentioned Vette not healing them (or herself) if they moved more than a few metres away. I have noticed this same issue in several other places (I first noticed it when doing the droid boss fight in the Ruins of Nul on my sniper, when Rivix stopped healing me if I moved out of melée range of him), where companions stop healing or even just stand and do nothing if you're not really close to them. The problem seems to be a more general one concerning companions rather than just the number of droids in the fight.
  23. Thanks for this. It's always good to have some communication to confirm that things are being looked at, even when fixes can't be implemented straight away. Overall, I'm happy with the story aspect of 7.0. People have complained that it's too short, but I'd rather have relatively frequent small updates than have to wait several years for a whole story to be developed and released, and with a small team and limited budget it probably would be several years. I also love the loadouts and second combat style. Yes, maybe some aspects could be streamlined, as some people have remarked in this thread but, once it's set up, it works very smoothly. I had never so much as changed specs before but, as someone who plays mainly for the story and character development, I have found switching loadouts can contribute a lot to immersion. (For instance, I have added stealth classes to my two saboteurs so they can stealth past most opposite faction personnel, rather than having to slaughter people they're supposed to be supporting.) My chief criticisms would be:- 1. There seems to be a rather unacceptable level of bugs, given that the release had already been put back by a few months. (Having said that, I used to work in software many years ago and we always found that every project over-ran and bugs always turned up after it went live, even though we thought it had been tested to death before release.) I've been lucky and have completed the story on both factions and done the fp several times (story and vet) and haven't been affected by anything so far that couldn't be fixed by leaving the instance and relaunching or, at most, a reset. 2. The gearing system seems over-complex, with too many different kinds of currencies needed and in unbalanced quantities. It may be ok for someone who only focuses on one aspect of the game, with just a couple of characters, but, as someone who plays solo quite a lot but also does fp's and the occasional operation with my guild, I'm ending up with insufficient amounts of every currency rather than large amounts of one. The result is that I may be able to upgrade one noble piece one day and maybe an elite piece a few days later, rather than being able to work on updating one gear type. Also, with every character getting 200 medals of commendation for completing conquest, but only level 80's being able to obtain the other currencies, my commendations are constantly capped and and I'm now having to ignore conquest and levelling on my lower characters in order to farm other currencies with my two level 80's just so I can spend the commendations. 3. The UI seems badly thought out and the contrast is bad, with borders too bright and text often not bright enough (which has been acknowledged, and is apparently being looked at).
  24. Glad to see someone's reported this. I just came here to say exactly the same thing. I wasn't sure if it should count as a bug or simply bad design. I keep reaching the medal of commendation cap because most gear upgrades use far fewer of them than of the other forms of currency, so I run out of other currencies quickly and have to stockpile commendations while I rebuild my supplies. (I would suggest it might be better to balance out the currencies more for gear upgrades, but that's not relevant in a bug report.) If there are two items available in a seasons reward (the regular one and the subscriber one), should it not be possible to claim them individually and leave the commendations unclaimed while taking the other item? I am currently unable to claim a gift to level up Fen Zeil's influence because my commendations are maxed out. A few days ago I couldn't claim a seasons token for the same reason. (Fortunately, I didn't need it urgently.)
