  1. It's far from the best. It's much better than RotHC though. Well, it's pretty interesting and saturated, but it has SO many plot holes. Ignoring Warrior's storyline, ignoring DS choice at the end of Revanite DK quest chain. Oh, and the worst thing is what they did to the characters. Satele's character is so ruined, so is Revan. Listed only those things which comes to the mind first. Not to mention, the same storyline for both faction. Meh...
  2. So you expect underperforming classes to get a special ''participation'' rewards? No, they won't. 1200 rating on Marauder is still 1200 and will get worse rewards( if any ) than 1500 Assassin.
  3. Maybe. But ''scammers'' know how a buyer's brain might work when latter is distracted. So he siezes the opportunity. The people are ridiculously stubborn here. S-people( let's say it's not proven that they scam, so let it be a codename ) put greens on GTN with 1M+ prices KNOWING that people in haste, drunk people or people distracted by other matters( surely, for our ''L2READ OMG STUPID''© saying guys mentioned groups of people don't exist since all they say are ''ABSENT MATH SKILLS'' and ''ABSENT READING SKILLS'' ) might buy this and lose a lot of money( let's call them V-people ). HOW COME S-people are completely innocent? To disprove the ridiculous statement about S-people's innocence here's the example. Let's say no S-people were putting cheap things on GTN for huge prices with this cunning use of points and commas. Would V-people spend a lot of money on useless items in this case? Not at all.
  4. Funny how furiously people trying to prove that it's not a scam. Do you people think that it's only possible ''to scam'' using other illegal methods rather than scam itself? If someone preys on other people inattentiveness which sometimes results in ''prey'' doing something they would never do rationally, how is that not scam? Yeah, such ''predator'' doesn't do anything illegal, yet in some countries ''scam'' is a crime itself( though when no other illegal activities were involved it's hard to prove ''scam'' ). Let's put it this way. OP lost his credits? Yes, he did. Was he inattentive? Yes, he was. Would he lose his money hadn't someone tried to scam him? No, he wouldn't. Yeah, that's it! Actually, one more question. Has he been the only one to lose money this way? Hell, no! The number is pretty big. Yeah, now say that the world is full of idiots( when inattention is a completely different thing, but you don't care If you want to brag how you always keep your guard up in video game ). Another question is should something be done about it? Not sure. It's definitely not possible to take action against scammers. Not sure if some changes can be implemented in order to improve the situation. Probably, no. Guess, people will have to live and learn, either from their own mistakes or from mistakes of others, then take appropriate actions like the ones suggested( for example, go for GTN prices limit ). To OP: feel sorry for you, 18M is something something. You shouldn't act like it's your fault and your fault only though. Usually the ones being scammed always guilty of something, usually more than mere inattentiveness, though. But it doesn't mean that scammers are innocent, they are the one guilty in the first place. Scam is still a scam. It's always tricking people and lowering their guard.
  5. So, this boss is tougher and more time-consuming than others in KDY. I got it. So what? Is that such a big deal? I don't rly get ur problem with that. Let's say you are a good player. Let's say other 3 players suck to some point. As you claim. It should at least be challenging for you. If the length is only problem, then it's like 3 mins more? 2 mins? Not that much time. It matters though if you ONLY do KDY while leveling. But in this case you don't care about fun. I kinda get that it might be a little inconvenient for you. What I don't understand is why you think such a little matter requires redesigning entire boss fight, which always proves to be hard for BW( usually when they nerf something they kill all the fun ). So don't expect the ''issue'' to be adressed.
  6. Hmm. And what about casual raiders? And people who want some minor challenge? Besides, how do you enjoy ops if u faceroll it? Hardmodes( at least the latest ) are hard and not for everyone, that's how it should be. However, SM are accessible for any player who CAN play his class and is able to invest some time into gathering a decent group or simply joining a guild. Of course, the most safe way to go through new SMs saving you a lot of time is to join a casual guild which would do these raids on a weekly basis. If you want to faceroll content in greens not bothering into investing some time into learning your rotation, DCD and other skills, then guess what? Raids are simply not for you. You can enjoy other content. Secondly, do not mistake casual players and awful players who basically want free endgame loot and achievements rather than fun and some challenge.
  7. If you ONLY want story, you can always watch ops videos on youtube. ]quote]It should be reasonable to complete with a random pick up group/group finder. There are some people that are just not able to experience the story because they can't get past certain bosses without joining a raid guild. Nope, it shouldn't. I mean, it should be puggable unlike HMs, but if any random pug can make it, than it's too easy. And it's not like it's very hard to get a raid in the guild. You don't have to join a raid squad within the guild. If you make SMs even easier than they are now, than it WILL NOT be about casual raiding. Casual raiding is not one shotting content without group coordination and knowing your rotation, tactics. It's not raiding at all. And casual raiding is still raiding, which gives some challenge to average players and groups, requires some teamwork and knowledge of your class. What? You don't need a stable raid team to complete SMs. Just a bunch of players who CAN play their class and some coordination and temwork( usually voice channel helps ). Very well. And what casual raiders? If SM will be only for story and ''random-puggable''?
  8. You don't need to be hardcore to clear the SM operations. You just need to know how to play your class and the tactics for these operations. And no, by ''know how to play'' I don't mean you should practice a lot of hours on a dummy as DPS. You just should know what you are supposed to do. Is it hard? No. Can you learn that by running quests and Kuat? Not necessarily. Operations are not planetary quests. If the problem is group coordination, well, you expect it from 8/16-man operation. The number of ppl in there is that these people would coordinate and kill the boss.
  9. You actually got it backwards. You get light side for killing him and dark side for something like ''ha-ha, I will watch u suffer, bad to be you''.
  10. Althought it was intended as a sarcastic statement, It's actually a good explanation. Yes, Aloysius Kallig was neither Zabrak nor Twilek. Really, I can't understand how can one argue with it. You can even look at the examples of the important characters in masks. Dread Masters? Human. Darth Marr? Human. Just imagine Calphayus puts his mask away and you can see a Twilek with a lekku. Yes, great lore, makes perfect sense. Or just imagine Luke taking Vader's mask off and by some magical reason Vader is Tchuukthai. Makes even more perfect sense, right? Because NPC are determined by their looks. PC are not. It is canon that Darth Marr wore a mask. About Sith Inquisitor we know only that at some point of time he probably wore Kallig's mask during a ritual. So Kallig is not an alien. And with all ''CANON IS WHAT I MAKE MY CHAR TO BE!'' people forgetting that IT IS this way until we don't have an established canon on PC( like Revan in KOTOR ). If they ever decided to make ''canon'' Darth Nox, it surely will be Kallig that makes the most sense. Well, maybe, there is a 0,5 per cent probability that it will be Light 5 cyborg in slave girl outfit( if u like it so, but I would say even 0 % ). But most likely not. So lore canon unfriendly characters all you like, until the game shuts down Bioware would never say they are not canon for obvious reasons. But do you really believe that IF THEY ESTABLISH strict canon regarding PC and their storylines, there will be a lekku( dunno how, probably mask has some magical portals into an antoher dimension, which serves as a storage for lekku ) under Aloysius' mask? Or they will chose more suitable race like human or rattataki? Now, it doesn't mean 100 % Darth Nox is not a Twilek. He doesn't have to be the same race as his ancestor, especially considering his family was disgraced and I don't think they could allow themselves to care about the purity of blood. Still, when u are an alien Drellik says Aloysius was as well, so it appears Bioware's politics are that Nox and Hord's contemporary are of the same species. By the way, if we take topic starters opinion into consideration( which should be taken since it makes sense ) it's more probable that Nox is indeed human. Especially when we combine it with the fact that Tulak Hord was one of the Empire tradition's founders, so he probably won't take an alien as his top general( but he could, it's just less probable ). The second most probable choice would be a ratattaki. So, the Bioware says that any choice is possible. But it's a game. When you try to transfer it into the lore, there is a balance of probabilities.
  11. What? Just because you don't like the set( a decent set tbh, not that's it's completely awful ) Bioware is trolling?
  12. CaulderBenson, first of all, my purpose was not to argue about Rebels. No, I utterly agree with your reasoning that ''Rebels'' is exactly what Disney wanted them to be. Yes, I just don't get how it makes the show better for those in this topic. I'll comment on that again further. Well, then you don't care for Star Wars as well. What can I say if you declare that you don't care if post-ROTJ story would be described only in ''preschool'' reading? Or, maybe, I misunderstood you. Easy, what is the need for an agression? Besides, I've ascriben nothing. I said that I was sure about it. What do you mean as ''didn't complain''? You have endured them or you actually liked as you would've liked a serious( as serious as the Episodes ) novel? Well , only because the company politics are wise from a business point of view doesn't mean it is actually nice. In fact, usually it is contrary. My only problem with that is already been explained. Since they retcon TFU, I deem the whole concept of Rebels to be pretty important to the story - to know how the rebellion was given birth to. It's almost as important as downfall of the Republic to the story of OT. And yes, it is important to attract new audience to Star Wars. But I we're not discussing business plans or corporate strategies. Besides, it wasn't much of a problem back to the OT, was it? Many of us watched OT as kids and that's the reason we love Star Wars( in general ). And there is nothing wrong with it. I'm not one of the many who hate PT, I like it very much, but the world and atmoshpere of the OT is much better. Yep, OT wasn't very serious, but who's asking for the darkness and tragedy all the way? That's actually the second problem I have with ''Rebels''. I like OT very much. It's really exciting to get something major on the Empire's era. But then you know... Well, I really wasn't commenting your post with intention to discuss the ''Rebels'' themselves, because I don't think I can judge the show without watching all of it( although still can't make myself to do it after first episodes ). So I assume it's either as you people here deem it to be or similiar to the first episodes. I mostly wanted to comment on the differences between ''good for company profit'' and ''simply good''.
  13. Except these are not canon. What is more, ''Rebels'' is supposed(as far as I know ) to explain the beginning of the rebellion - the important part in SW lore most of the fans would like to know. I'm pretty sure if you were to get ''preschool Star Wars reading'' about post-ROTJ lore INSTEAD of proper Episodes 7,8 etc. you wouldn't be very happy about it.
  14. Well, regarding his power, it actually made me reconsider his strengh. He takes on a player character, Darth Marr, Satele Shan, a powerful mandolorian bounty hunter, top-1 republic SIS agent, not the weakest Sith Lord and well... a wookie. As far as Lana and Jakarro doesn't seem very powerful, the others are impressive in a team( to challenge head of the Dark Council and Grand Master of the Jedi Order is admirable treat itself, now, with the others it's something something. I do not mention player char here, because it could be anyone from Darth Nox to the Smuggler, ). From the other side, every possibility is a game canon, so canon wise Revan still should pose a threat to the teams with the force using player characters. We shouldn't consider in-game abilities and mechanics, but I thought they wanted to make it clear that Revan can use both light and dark side. Lightside on a smaller scale, of course, but it should count for something.
  15. I've meant power-wise. Both have defeated members of the Dark Council at the end of their Act 3 storyline. Not sure if any of them above all of the Council though. No doubt, Inquisitor is not worse as a duelist. The lightning and Sith magic are even more deadly than the lightsaber sometimes. But he is considerable worse as a lightsiber dueslist, I thought u had denied it. That being said, he is still a master of lightsaber combat. Now, on the other topic, how really powerful was the Thanaton? Ravage threatened to kill him, but he usually talks with his his heart and not brain. Thanaton, on the other side, said( to the Dark Council members ): ''You will all answer for this''. I don't believe his emotions were absent in his choice of words, but it should count for something. And the lightning displays in the cutscenes are impressive.
  16. As proficient as the Warrior? Why would he be as skilled in lightsabers as someone who entirely focuses on martial arts( given they are both on the level of Dark Council )? Noone says that Wrath has as proficient with Sith Magic as Nox.
  17. The ones I've played( and remember ). 1.Sith Warrior. Felt very Sithy. Had a lot of traits SI story lacks( and should've had since the latter was supposed to focus on cunning and manipulation ). Very decent plot by the game's standarts, interesting outcames. One of the few stories that actually tries to make a sense of ''unorthodox'' allignment characters. The end of the act 1 and the fact that your choice there would make a real impact on your storyline. Oh, and the characters. I think of all stories this one has the best characters. 2.Imperial Agent. It had a better plot than SW, but I like Sith theme more than agent's which isn't usual for Star Wars, so I place it below Warrior's( and for character reason too, ofc ). But it's really good. No act felt boring( even for SW Act 2 seems a little too slow ). 3.Jedi Knight. Well, an epic story. Theme of the dark jedi is widely explored, you can see even some rudiments of ''sense-making'' dark jedi gameplay. It doesn't lack Star Wars spirit: superweapons, ultra big bad, a lot of dark side temptations. It's not very original, but it's fun. 4.Jedi Consular. I liked the story mostly because of how well it fits light Jedi Consular. It's not very thrilling, but it's how the path of wise Jedi sage( not sage as AC but literally ) should look. But it's not only that. The story itself is actually enjoyable. Act 1 and 3 are pretty intensive. The story isn't absent of interesting characters as well. 5.Sith Inquisitor. SI has the best prologue of all others classes, I'll give him that. Act 1 wasn't very mind blowing, but it's still was decent. Well, Act 2 and Act 3 not so much I'm afraid. The story restored it's glory when the inquisitor has finally started building his power base, it felt satisfactory but the plot was still average. Can't say it was really bad, but it was a disappointment to me because I've expected much from the supposedly ''Sidious-like'' type of character story. Well, the ending felt satisfactory as well. That being said, the whole idea of Act 2 wasn't bad I liked the thing with the Ghosts, but the story still felt boring.
  18. And juding the canon characters by in-game abilities is not very accurate. Devastating Blast could be a different application of the force than Exar Kun's blasts. Well, even the color is different. Let's not forget that the game usually emphasizes force abilities not depicting them the same ways as in the movies. When u choke someone, red ''neckless'' appeares around their head, but in the movie it's simple use of telekinetics( no visual at all ). Same goes for Sage's telekinetic attacks( which are different variations of Force Push as it seems ). Surely Sage doesn't unleash ''pure light side energy blasts''. The same applies almost all of Sith and Jedi DoTs in the game. So DB could pretty much be an extent of telekinetcs( which counts as using dark side energy ) using the swords. But it has to look fancy, of course.
  19. About lightning. If we interpret Yavin 4 quest's interaction with these objects this way, then all classes in the game are capable of using it, which is obviously not true. Jedi using Dark Side to interact with Dark Side artifacts could server am excuse, but non force using classes? No. But it's pretty obvious that Warrior can use lightning. Proof? All strong Sith( truth be told, even all decent Sith ) can do it with the exceptions of such as Darth Vader. As Nox is capable of force pushes and force choke. Saying that Sith Warrior light someone up is the same as saying Inquisitor isn't capable of simple Force Push.
  20. I can relate to author. I really was surprised with the story after myriad of posts that the story is awful. Guess, author's aggressive reaction wasn't due to intolerance of other opinions but to much HATE the story recieved from members, which he deemed unfair. Not saying he's right, of course. I don't know what people compares the story to, probably, Jedi Knight, but maybe that's the source of misunderstanding. You don't compare the stories, they are different. However, one may dislike some of the stories, which doesn't mean they are bad. Honestly, I've enjoyed JK story very much, but when I judge rationally( scaling pros and cons of the STORY itself and not it's TYPE ) I can say that the story wasn't without flaws. So, the consular story fits consular very well. It's what it should be for this type of Jedi-character( can't find examples from the movies, but it's certainly NO Anakin, Luke or Obi Wan type of character ), the one who abides Jedi code and traditions, the one who is into force studies and diplomacy. It's not perfect, there are many flaws, of course, but as in any other stories( I know what I've said about comparison but this is different ). That being said, I don't play ''unorthodox'' alignment type. For me all of them are absent of a lot of logic and contradict canon pretty much. So, if you say that Dark Jedi Consular is awful I won't argue with u on that( for me light Sith are not much better ).
  21. How would you know? Isn't it safe to assume that he is always drawing on their power? But again, I fail to see why would it matter. The second Nox binded ghosts to him( to be more precise, the second he fixed the problem in act 3 ), they have become a part of his power. It's like saying it's unfair that Wrath wasn't born a slave and he should be enslaved for years before we can let him go fight against Nox. Lore and feats support Wrath. The best accomplishment of Inquisitor is killing Thanaton, when Wrath has killed Emperor's Voice + Sel Makor. Combatwise it can go either way.
  22. I really don't understand. So many posts with ''it's ghost's powers not Kallig's''. Have I missed this line somewhere in the game? Because it doesn't matter. He could get the power from cybernetic enhancements for all I care, it still would be his power. We discuss strengh and not potential. That being said, some posts in favor of Darth Nox looks really... well, biased to say the least. I really like the character and find his abilities powerful, but lore doesn't support him as the strongest of playable characters. Yes, based on Scrouge's assumption, Lord Vitiate amplify his power with the help of millions of ghosts( well, the ones he devoured on Nathema while they still were alive ). But that's different. He didn't bound them. They are part of him now. If anything, it's still population of entire planet plus 10000+ Sith Lords versus what? 5? By the way, Annihilation novel clearly indicates that DK doesn't care about Nox's opinion. Not sure if it purely defines power( because they care about Vowrawn's power which didn't struck me as very powerful considering he didn't even tried to fight against ''Baras' assassin'' ), but maybe if he really were that power they would have to put up with his opinion even if he's not that strong in political meaning.
  23. Well, truth be told, it's not that brief...
  24. That's actually something new. Fixing a bug on the day of it's emergence?
  25. I've always viewed operations as really taking 8/16-man strike teams, but with a difference from an actual gameplay. The strike team is required to go through and clear a zone, which is always has armies of bosses' minions. But I doubt it always takes whole strike team to beat every single boss. For example, Dread Fortress. Corruptor Zero, obviously, could be beaten by one player character canon wise, but could the whole Fortress be solo-invaded? Doubt it. It's not like legions of Dread Guards will split in packs and won't attack until u pull them anywhere except from game mechanics. Revan is a different case. He was confronted by player characters + 7 canon NPC from the game. They even had a dialog before the battle. But It's wierd indeed, since he was already beaten in Foundry by 4 characters who probably couldn't even beat one Darth Marr( or could they? ).
